Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.....

Your political advisers. They're, uh, all naturalized citizens.

Orly Taitz

Born: Moldavia SSR
U.S. Citizenship: 1992
Occupation: dentist; birther
Contribution: Gave racist Tea Partiers a politically correct way (in their own minds) to express their hatred of America’s first Black president.

Dinesh D’Souza

Born: Mumbai, India
U.S. Citizenship: 1990
Occupation: President of King’s College; card carrying member in Sarah Palin’s much maligned “elites.” Oh well, whatever...
Contribution: Dinesh advances the asinine idea that President Obama thinks like an anti-colonialist who hates American imperialism (read corporate business). Provides the philosophical underpinning (in their own minds) to the intellectually pretentious on the right that justifies their hatred of America’s first Black president.

Rupert Murdoch

Born: Melbourne, Australia
U.S. Citizenship: 1985 (to satisfy a law requiring owners of television stations to be American citizens)
Occupation: media mogul; propagandist
Contribution: Gives “real Americans” (in their own minds) a steady stream of right wing opinion labeled cynically as “fair and balanced” news reporting. Helped to create the Tea Party, a movement of “patriots” (in their own minds) who serve as a useful idiots in the right wing’s campaign to turn our democratic republic into a banana republic.

And, did you know that the same cabal that successfully conspired to win the presidency for Kenyan born Muslim Obama also conspired to win the nominations of Roberts and Alito to the Supreme Court so they could hand down the Citizens United decision. This opens the door for oil rich Arab terrorists and godless, communist Chinese malefactors to channel, anonymously, the money necessary for Obama and the Democrats to, at long last, overthrow the United States.

We heard this! And what about the aliens from Ork? You know, Mork? That guy is here to run the campaign of "Joe Biden for Alien Ruler of Earthonia!" You didn't think ole Joe was just the Babbling Buffoon from Baltimore he portrays himself as, did you? Keep up the good work, Mike! Nanoo nanoo

Mike| 10.11.10 @ 1:23PM

Eric.
"We heard this!" I know. And some want so desperately to believe it that they have actually convinced themselves it is true.

Mike.
"I know." Me too!

Ah Ha ! We're All In On The Grand Conspiracy Against Ourselves.

Mike| 10.11.10 @ 1:11PM

Tim,
"We're All In On The Grand Conspiracy Against Ourselves."
Not a bad description of our dysfunctional, hyper-partisan politics.

Dale Cord| 10.12.10 @ 10:44AM

Tim, you hit the nail on the head! We are all "DYSFUNCTIONAL" .Those of you who don't want to examine yourself on a daily basis, and believe this. Just step back for a moment and look at our society as a whole, 100% self indulgent, without a rational or logical thought of the consequences we bring upon ourselves and others because of our "What can I do today to pleasure myself, mentality"! To quote a standup comedians line "Half the world is starving, while the other half is on a diet". War,War,War Hate,Hate,Hate your neighbor, but don't forget to say grace and Amen.
