Hat tip to the Wall Street Journal’s John Fund for the head’s up on this campaign ad by Let Freedom Ring, which criticizes Sen. Lisa Murkowski over her write-in campaign after she lost the Alaska Republican primary to newcomer Joe Miller. It reminds voters that she got her seat because her daddy, former Gov. Frank Murkowski, gave it to her in the first place. Maybe there will be more like it targeting Florida GOP reject Charlie Crist and temporarily defeated Delaware Rep. Mike Castle.

A man of faith in a godless age is hitting Americans where it hurts.
Mr. and Mrs. American Spectator Reader, let P.J. O’Rourke talk sense to your kids.
In Britain, defending your property can get you life.
The debacle of this president’s administration is both a cause and a symptom of the decline of American values. Unless Congress impeaches him, that decline will go on unchecked. An eminent jurist surveys the damage and assesses the chances for the recovery of our culture.
It won’t take long for conservatives to scratch this presidential wannabe off their 2008 scorecard.
The American Christmas, like the songs that celebrate it, makes room for everybody under the rainbow. Is that why so many people seem to be hostile to it?
Was the President done in by the economy, or by the politics of the economy?

A wise person, e.g., a politician, would learn and not torch bridges s/he may need in the future

Would that be the bridge to nowhere?

Could be, because that's where Lisa is going--nowhere.

You are probably right. She'll stay in Washington, attach herself with a politically potent law firm, a become a millionaire within a couple of years. Like Trent Lott, Tom Dashcle, Bob Dole, George Mitchell, Don Nickles and John Breaux, Lisa Murkowski will be awash in mooney due to our corrupt, morally bankrupt political system.

I'm not a huge fan of Trent Lott, and I'll even take the slap at Bob Dole who I think is a fine man even if imperfect.
But Don Nickles was one of the most consistently conservative members of the Reagan revolution and is a fine man by anybodies account and certainly does not deserve your deriding comments.
Also, it's factually inaccurate. Nickles works for his own consulting company and I can find no evidence that he works for any law firm. Not that it would be a bad thing if he did.
