               Soros plans to become involved in climate issues

That’s a sub-head within a story in today’s “ClimateWire” revealingly titled “International business reps and government officials meet for weeklong climate extravaganza” (for insight on why that title is revealing, see this Daily Caller item from last week).

Of course, the man admitting to an interest in using the state to transfer wealth from you to him and his projects is being a tad modest, as he was also the force behind Center for American Progress, and its Climate Progress effort. And, speaking of CAP and this agenda, by coincidence, there was a story I ran into yesterday which began:

“Reed Hundt is known for being the first chairman of the Federal Communications Commission to lead a spectrum auction, setting the stage for the modern U.S. wireless industry. Hundt is now in his second act as a green policy advocate, and tells me in an interview this week that he, along with John Podesta’s Center for American Progress and Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection, are beginning a project to draft an energy bill for the next Congress.

Hundt, who referred to the project as “skunkworks,” says the group plans to unveil the contents of the new energy bill by mid-November.

One cannot over state the usefulness of spreading the word that Al Gore’s group and Soros’ group are behind the imminent re-re-re-branding of the Left’s energy scarcity regime, an acknowledged “skunkworks”. Markets work, with information. Pass it on. And, yes, I told you so.

UPDATE: A colleague pointed out Soros’ title, apparently purely honorary to date, of “secretary general’s special advisor on climate change issue”. But as we know the UN doesn’t tolerate conflicts of interest. It is tempting to think, however, that it insists upon them.
