Reid Wilson at Hotline is hearing the same thing: that Murkowski is announcing her write-in candidacy this evening.

This was going to be a close race where Joe Miller has an edge. With Republicans split, my guess is that Democrat Scott McAdams would be the frontrunner (though by no means a shoe-in). If I were in the Senate GOP leadership, I’d be calling up Murkowski right now and telling her that she should seriously consider announcing that previous reports were erroneous and she is endorsing Miller, and that if she goes through with this write-in candidacy, in the event she wins she will be treated like a first-term senator and be last in line for committee assignments. If moderates won’t grow up, maybe they need to be treated like misbehaving children.

"If I were in the Senate GOP leadership, I'd be calling up Murkowski right now ..."

That already happened. Murkowski admitted that everyone tried to talk her out of it. She has been told that she will be stripped of seniority.

None of that matters to Murkowski because she is a sore loser. She hates Sarah Palin. There has been bad political blood between their family for years. Even if Murk. loses, she would be happy to be the spoiler and cause Miller to lose.

Also, most of the big name establishment RINO candidates who lost have run third party against their conservative opponent. None of the losing tea party candidates have done that. All TP candidates accepted their defeat and supported the Republican establishment winner.

I look forward to Karl "the human pig" Rove going on Hannity, or whomever else will have his sorry carcass, and have a hissy fit about the fact that Murkowski cannot win. I also look forward to a money tree sprouting in my back yard.

If this doesn't work out, she can always move to Nevada. I believe I've heard that prostitution is legal in that state.

You're assuming Her Senatorial Majesty would deign to caucus with the GOP.

If she won, don't be too surprised if she decided to go on the Harry & Chuckie show.

Based on what do you think the totally unknown Dem to be the frontrunner, even if Murkowski runs? The only poll taken as a three way still showed Miller in first, Murkowski in second, and McAdams in third. Why do you think the Dem is the frontrunner in a heavily GOP year in a heavily GOP state? Do you honestly think Murkowski's vanity campaign is going to play well in Alaska? Remember she squeaked by in 2004....it's not like she's beloved up there or anything.

If this write in thing doesn’t work maybe she can get a stint on celebrity boxing with Tanya Harding.

Let Murkowski Run .
Miller will beat her again. Private 3-way polling has shown Miller leading, but by a narrow margin.
