The Spectacle Blog

The Hill is reporting that the National Rifle Association has jumped feet first into the heated Delaware U.S. Senate primary by endorsing conservative Tea Party-backed Christine O’Donnell over longtime GOP Congressman and ex-governor Mike Castle.

Specifically cited was O’Donnell’s commitment to “preserving the Second Amendment.”

The Tea pot begins to whistle in the First State. And in the halls of the NRA.

i told them "i gave your money to sharron angle"

Booger| 9.10.10 @ 6:49PM

Chuck Norris is coming for Castle. It's all over now, bub.

Nick| 9.10.10 @ 7:17PM

Way to go NRA.
You guys may have redeemed yourselves.

Buh-bye, RINO Castle!

O'Donnell is a nut| 9.10.10 @ 9:46PM

Yes, bye bye Castle, hello Senator Coons.

Interested| 9.10.10 @ 10:51PM

There's no difference between Castle and Coons so what's the prob? How much is cowardly Castle paying you, troll?

Nick| 9.10.10 @ 11:38PM

Better than, "Hello Senator Castle."

CS Lewis| 9.10.10 @ 7:51PM

I just keep tearing up my renewals, although I did send the NRA a lengthy email over the Reid support. hmmmmm, I guess they heard plenty over that also.
It's time to tear down those walls the govt. has built around us. Let's roll!

Ole Sarge| 9.12.10 @ 5:45PM

The NRA is backing Angle now, not the dim.

Trent| 9.12.10 @ 6:46PM

They'd better if they know which side their bread is buttered on.

O'Donnell is a nut| 9.10.10 @ 9:49PM

The NRA better hope Coons is good on Second Amendment issues, because they are doing all they can to ensure he is the next Senator of Delaware. It is quite simply amazing that anyone thinks a lying, unemployed airhead like O'Donnell is going to win in one of the bluest states in the US.

There's no difference between Coons and Castle, moron--what's the prob?

Nolann Ryann| 9.10.10 @ 11:36PM

That's irrelevant to a RINO. Personal presitge and vanity is all that matters to those clods.

SoCon| 9.10.10 @ 11:42PM

Yeah, who cares about principle--what's that?

Nick| 9.10.10 @ 11:40PM

How can Coons be any worse than Castle on the right to keep and bear arms?

Answer: He can't.

Yosemeti Sam| 9.10.10 @ 10:56PM

He, he, haw, haw.

The NRA wouldn't endorse Dingy.

But they've thrown a bouquet to this young politically unadulterated NJ lass.

Certain old politicians seem so - passe.

LOL.

SoCon| 9.10.10 @ 11:47PM

NJ? I thought this was Delaware. I'm so confused.

Yosemeti Sam| 9.11.10 @ 2:08AM

SoCon| 9.11.10 @ 3:01AM

Someone's been doing his research!

Nolann Ryann| 9.10.10 @ 11:31PM

Well that just can't be, because we all know she's unelectable. I guess Geraghty should get on the horn right away to Chris Cox and Wayne Lapierre and school them on what is what. Now sack up and give Angle the next endorsement.

Nolann Ryann| 9.10.10 @ 11:35PM

Jim Demint stepped up as well. I guess he's just another DA who doesn't understand that Castle is the only one to save Deleware. I'll go with Palin, Demint and the NRA over a bunch of hysterical RINOs that have given us Specter, Graham, Maine female idiots, Jeffords, McCain, Chafee, Crist, and wonderful Murkowski.

SoCon| 9.10.10 @ 11:46PM

Couldn't agree more. I'm so sick and tired of democrat and democrat-lite. What's the difference?

No wonder our country is in such a mess.

bert| 9.11.10 @ 12:06PM

According to the hatefilled driven snide elitist radical left ,Goldwater, Reagan, Newt, Col North, Cheney, GW Bush, Rand Paul, Buck, Angle , Palin, and now O'Donnel are this tired old over used "nut " term. This from a America hating
leftist posters that want to tear down their country with the help of a Marxist raised as a Muslim in Indonesia with a chip on his shoulder and who despises America's greatness. Now who are the crazies again ?
