My former college roommate Paul Crespo goes down to the wire
tomorrow in a primary for Florida’s 25th congressional district.
Shawn Macomber profiled him for the Spectator a couple of years
ago,
here. And he wrote a column in the Washington Times a few
months ago,
here. It’s a crowded primary, and he isn’t the establishment
candidate, although Paul does have a decent name ID from writing
for the Miami paper and from doing lots of radio shows. Paul’s a
solid citizen. It is not my place to make endorsements, especially
when I know nothing about the other candidates…. but I think I
can be forgiven for at least wishing luck to my former roomate.

He sounds like a really great person, and I'd surely vote for him if I lived in his Floridian district. As he said, Americans need to distinguish between LEGAL and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, and to appreciate the former and not the latter. Hispanics mostly have a rich, traditional [and Catholic] heretage, and same's conservative nature could/should be nurtured for political purposes; but this immigration discussion sadly/unfortionately blends/distorts the lines between legal and illegal in that process!!!!
