But not, alas, to take the floor for 18 hours, as you so wisely recommended.

No doubt it will be a highly civil and extremely proper speech. Politeness first and foremost. Otherwise, there go the cocktail party invitations!

Session's being out on the political limb alone regarding the SCOTUS nominations by Democrats is sadly a usual occurance. Shelby did manage to issue a critical statement about her political nature versus her legal abilities, but I'm not aware of any Republican ready, willing and able to lead a filibuster charge on her as previously suggested. Again, these congresspersons all need to be disected and dealt with by taxpayer-voters in each state, since they're all guilty of DC's LET'S PARTY political syndrome, all at the expense/detriment all of us wishing to prevent this country from going off of the cliff's deep edge!!!!!

5 RINOs voted for her.

A left-wing nut and social butterfly is now on the Supreme Court.
God Help Us All.

Satan must be hard at work making room in Hell for the likes of these.

Are you serious?

How do you expect a free people to govern itself if they cannot demonstrate the fortitude to uphold the rigors of political discourse?

Democrats and liberal justices are, in your view, worthy of going to hell?

Who are you to make this judgment? What kind of a self-important freak are you?

Al Adab| 8.6.10 @ 9:41AM

Just another self-anointed elitist.

Want self-important, freakish judgment? She's a lesbian/homosexual [closeted] who was nominated for one [and only one] purpose------AS A POLITICAL BONE TO THE HOMOSEXUAL COMMUNITY and [now] TO VOTE AFFIRMATIVE FOR THE LAWSUIT CONCERNING THE CALIFORNIA'S JUDICIAL RULING ON HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE WHEN SAME REACHES THE SCOTUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
