One more thing: Barney Frank's Internet Gambling Regulation and Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act legalizes most online gambling at the federal level but allows states to ban betting within their borders. The Defense of Marriage Act witholds recognition of same-sex marriage at the federal level but allows states to permit it within their borders. Why is the first piece of legislation essential and the second intolerable?

Because Barney Frank is a self-interested faggot who cares more about being able to marry his sodomite lover than about the Constitution and protecting the liberty and freedom of all Americans? Yeah, I think that about sums it up.

Derek Leaberry| 7.30.10 @ 4:00PM

Jonathan M's comment can not be improved upon.

WL| 7.30.10 @ 11:19PM

Jonathon M.....???

Are you sure you are not actually GEORGE PATTON???

Because that is something he would have said.....

AND WHAT I WOULD HAVE GIVEN TO SERVE IN HIS 3RD ARMY !!!!!!!!

RIGHT ON RIGHT ON RIGHT ON!!!!!!

Glen H| 7.31.10 @ 8:51AM

Jonathan M's comment is homophobic and non-responsive to the question.

If this is a good answer, I would hate to see a bad one.

Jonathan M.| 7.31.10 @ 8:53AM

Are you a self-interested and Constitution-hating faggot too? Sure sounds like it.

If you have a better explanation for Barney Frank's deviance and stupidity, I'd love to hear it.

Del| 7.31.10 @ 9:12AM

Jonathan M, I think the fact you have resorted to calling people "faggot" rather than make a real argument says a lot more about you than anything else.

Occam's Tool| 7.31.10 @ 5:53PM

OK, let's stipulate that Frank's homosexuality is not to be a target of derision. Can we still make fun of the fact that his lover ran a homosexual prostitution ring out of Barney's Federal Office?

Can we call him an aider and abettor of hustlers of whores? That seems factual.

Glen H| 8.1.10 @ 4:51PM

No, I am not, Jonathan. Now go crawl back under your rock.

Jonathan M.| 8.1.10 @ 10:52PM

To all the people above: if you didn't notice, the title of this thread was "While We're Speaking Frankly." Speaking "Frankly" among conservatives means not having to engage in weak-kneed political correctness. Meaning I will call Barney Frank what he is - a deviant faggot, who will be burning in hell in a few years.

I have yet to see a better explanation offered for Barney's inconsistent, un-Constitutional position on these issues. Anyone have any suggestions?

Don H| 8.2.10 @ 3:16PM

I do.

Frank is inconsistent and maintans unconstitutional positions because he's a socialist and doesn't care what the constitution says and feels no need to abide by it.

It has no more to do with his being a deviant faggot than your opinion has to do with you being a flaming bigot who'll be sizzling right next to Barney in due time.

Jonathan M.| 8.2.10 @ 4:10PM

Go back to Daily Kos or the New York Times. This is a website for conservatives.

Don H| 8.3.10 @ 11:37AM

Hah! That was a brilliant, and very telling, comeback. Thanks for exposing yourself so thoroughly.

Jonathan M.| 8.3.10 @ 12:12PM

If you support the faggot lifestyle, you'll be burning in hell right alongside Barney. The Bible is unambiguous on this point.

DRed| 8.3.10 @ 5:46PM

"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Maybe you haven't reached the new testament yet?

Don H| 8.3.10 @ 9:29PM

Yup. Ditto for the irrational bigot lifestyle, bub. Remember the prostitute that Jesus embraced.

Don't go throwing stones at the faggot house if you live in the glass bigot house across the street.

Golden Boy| 7.31.10 @ 11:56AM

All states and the District of Columbia need to start exercising their 10th amendment rights and restore sodomy laws including not recognizing civil unions, banning non-heterosexual marriages, banning non-heterosexuals from jobs that have contact with children and severe punishment for pedophiles. Quarantining people with AIDS is a must to stop the spread of that disease. Otherwise sodomites like Barney Frank will continue to spread their filthy lifestyle and destructive behavior on society. Support the Boy Scouts of America-straight and honest.

Margie| 7.31.10 @ 12:29PM

Don't forget you haters Barney Frank~ Ron Paul is "working" with him as we speak on a "plan" to DEFUND our Military.

Do two walk together unless they have an agreement?

The Left and the Libertarians have much in common.

And don't forget that R. Paul is a Libertarian who registered as a Republican in order to even get elected. His anti-war stance is Lefty Libertarian all the way. Expose him for what he is.

Occam's Tool| 7.31.10 @ 5:55PM

The only thing Paul is Conservative on is money. Otherwise, he's a Liberal Loon.

All budget categories can be reviewed and discussed .
President Reagan's Secretary of The Navy ,John Lehman :
" Navy shipbuilding fiascoes like the staggering overruns on new surface combatants, the near total failure of the Army's Future Combat System that was meant to re-equip the entire army, the 400% cost overrun of the new Air Force weather satellite -- to name but a few -- all prove that we are currently unable to design, develop and deliver major weapons systems in anything approaching a cost-effective and timely manner. The Government Accountability Office recently reported that the cost overruns for the top 75% procurement programs were over $295 billion. We are rapidly disarming ourselves, even as defense spending grows. "

Aaryn| 7.31.10 @ 2:19PM

because in a free society, the burden should be to ban things, not to allow things.

Frank's bill says the states can ban something.
DOMA says the states can allow something.

which is more in keeping with a free society?

Chris| 7.31.10 @ 3:15PM

This is an excellent point. Neither one of these laws is necessary. They both are unnecessary intrusions into citizens' private lives.

Martin Owens| 7.31.10 @ 4:09PM

The states and gaming tribes ALREADY have the right to legalize and license Internet gaming for themselves under the UIGEA (18 USC 5362).

Answers1| 8.2.10 @ 12:14AM

Barney Frank fostered the global financial crisis. I think self-interested faggot does not go far enough; how about traitor?
