The New York Times is reporting that Democratic governors aren’t too happy about the Obama administration’s Arizona lawsuit:

“Universally the governors are saying, ‘We’ve got to talk about jobs,’ ” Gov. Phil Bredesen of Tennessee, a Democrat, said in an interview. “And all of a sudden we have immigration going on.”

He added, “It is such a toxic subject, such an important time for Democrats.”

Later on in the story, Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire of Washington criticized the administration’s handling of illegal immigration:

“They described for me a list of things that they are doing to try and help on that border,” Ms. Gregoire said of the White House officials at the closed-door meeting. “And I said, ‘The public doesn’t know that.’ ”

That’s because amnesty and the Arizona lawsuit seem to loom larger on the White House’s immigration to-do list than any serious border-security initiative.

""They described for me a list of things that they are doing to try and help on that border," Ms. Gregoire said"

They are going to TRY TO HELP!!! TRY!!! As wise Yoda said... "Do, not try." What a pathetic useless clown Obama is. I would expect that kind of answer from a 5 year old who say's he will TRY to keep his hand out of the cookie jar only to say "Well at least I tried to keep my hand out of the cookie jar" when he's caught stealing cookies.

Illegals have little to worry about:
AZ's immigration law will be chipped away.

Missy| 7.12.10 @ 7:22PM

Illegals have already left our country in droves because of Obama's disastrous economic policies.

Who needs a secure border to effect smart immigration policy when you have this putz in the White house?

What a contrarian.

Where are the troops the President "promised" the Arizona Governor? This is after all the United States international border, not simply a state line.

Instead the Federal Government sues a state. But wait, the Feds just deported American citizens in the person of children of the spies. What is going on around here?

I think one thing he tried is the signs posted warning American that smuggling and other criminal activity may be present near the Arizona border. That's sure going to help the situation. This administration is proving to be good at one thing for certain: making signs. Warnings in AZ and ARRA signs littering the roadways of the country. Putting America to Work...at making signs. Well at least their trying. Sounds like a solid B+ grade continues for our student-in-chief.
