The Senate should investigate "discrepancies" between Elena Kagan's testimony Wednesday and the record of her Clinton-era involvement in the partial-birth abortion controversy, a leading pro-life activist said Thursday.

"I urge this Committee to officially investigate the discrepancies that have arisen this week between Ms. Kagan's testimony and the written record about her actions related to lobbying the American Medical Association [AMA] and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists [ACOG] during her tenure in the Clinton White House," Americans United for Life (AUL) president Charmaine Yoest said in her own testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Philip Klein reported Wednesday on the exchange between Kagan and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), during which the Supreme Court nominee denied attempting to pressure ACOG into changing its medical opinion on partial-birth abortion. Shannen W. Coffin reported on the 1996 ACOG memos at National Review, while AUL reported that Kagan had also lobbied the AMA on the issue.

Yoest sent an e-mail Thursday to more than a quarter-million pro-life activists urging them to contact their senators and urge an investigation of Kagan's testimony.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reports, Democrats have used the Kagan hearings for fund-raising.

RSM, what the heck does this wingnut propaganda have to do with me? Get back to what you do best....I'll bend over if that helps.

I'll be at our favorite hotspot in Adams Morgan tonight. Call me.

Who is this Dave Weigel?
And why do he keep posting such silly demeaning comments.

Could it be, he is secretly “Bob of the Cacophonous Funnel Head” ?

Dixie Pixie,

Don't player hate....everybody knows who the Weigel is. Jealous rednecks from Dixie should know their place. You would not know how stupid you wingnuts are if not for my awesome reporting. I bet you have ZERO people following you on Twitter, and I bet your life is not soundtracked to The Eye of The Tiger as is mine. LOL

Greetings Dave Weigel
If that is your real name.

Now that I have you on the line , so to speak, I have a few questions.

Why is it most Lefties can not resist personal insults. On the second sentence, you just had to reduce yourself into the level of the gutter for no reason. You could not resist, could you.

Why is it a Lefty must logically contradict themselves when ever a discussion occurs. You did it in the first two sentences. Is this the nature of a professional Lefty. It occurs too often to be otherwise.

Why does a Lefty equate a supposed popularity with greatness of personal character and moral superiority. After leaping headfirst into the sewer why engage in moral preening.

“ should know their place” Spoken like a true would be aristocrat. Why is it that when ones rubs the paint off a Liberal, ones finds a Old World Aristocrat. Is liberty and freedom such a foreign concept to you. Must every one but Liberals must be pushed into the untermensch class to serve Liberalism. Is it your view that you must always be considered more “equal” than all others.

Is Western Civilization such a horrible concept to you that you must wreak it. Why is it that civilized discourse seems to be beyond Liberalism. Can you have a civilized conversation at all.
Or must you insult until your supposed superiority is acknowledged. Must your behavior always be barbaric.

I await your reply.

Oh my, how quickly we are not only attacked, but in that attack, diverted from the subject at hand. The personal attack as diversion comes from Alinsky's book, and Diversion is the tool of con-men and magicians, since I see no rabbits, I can guess what Dave Weigel is. So the question is, was Kagan lying when she worked for Clinton, or in front of the Senators?

Dave Weigel| 7.2.10 @ 7:26PM

Dixie Pixie,

You sadden me, but not for the reason you may think.

I'm an asshole, and I've admitted it already, and althought it appears I just say this when I'm worried about my job prospects after being fired by the Washington Post, it's true, I'm really an asshole. Assholes don't have to play by the same rules as you wingnuts self impose. Jealous teabaggers need to go light themselves on fire after they get all patriotic with their guns and their fireworks on July 4th.

Dixie Pixie| 7.2.10 @ 10:40PM

Greetings Dave Weigel

I humbly accept your apology.

However it this point in the discussion I am not prepared to give up the “Bob of the Cacophonous Funnel Head” theory.
Call it a personal fault if you must.
