ALFRANKEN tries to address a serious issue such as judicial philosophy, and he comes out sounding like community college liberal arts professor. The Senate, many many moons ago, used to be a place for serious people, who addressed serious problems on a grand scale. For the last 2-3 decades the Senate has become a partisan playground that is barely above the House as far as decorum goes. ObamaCare and the obnoxious Senate pay-offs are a symptom of this. And ALFRANKEN's presence there is an offense to the Constitution. The people in Minnisota should be ashamed of themselves.

Gerson's column is excellent. As a Democrat, I'm embarrassed by Franken and delighted to read a sound, thoughtful, and firm put-down of him by a smart conservative.
