Power Struggle

A federal judge has, for the moment, spared already-suffering Gulf state residents from the brunt of President Obama’s most recent anti-energy Power Grab.

This will not last. As I detail in Power Grab: How Obama’s Green Policies Will Steal Your Freedom and Bankrupt America, Obama and his administration are committed to strangling domestic energy production. At the same time they promise to also clamp down on the cost of consumption, all in a way that makes our last energy-poverty president, Jimmy Carter, appear a free-market pioneer.

This was telegraphed immediately by administration revocation of massive tracts of public land from possible lease for domestic energy production, even to the point of suspending lease agreements already struck.

None of this is either accident or coincidence, but affirmed as a deliberate plan by Obama’s concurrent clamp-down on families’ access to energy with a cap-and-trade scheme he vowed would cause energy prices to “necessarily skyrocket”, support for which Obama renewed in his Oval Office speech last Tuesday by praising the House-passed bill.

Then, he also restated his threat of imposing central planning in the guise of the state engineering a “green economy”. Although last week President Obama suddenly dropped reference to his specific European models — because those countries like Spain have now admitted the devastation they caused — we know that even Europe has refused to ban production of domestic energy resources.

From the moratorium blocked by a federal judge today, pending appeal by Obama, to the planned “lame-duck” Congress-wide passage of the “cap-and-trade” energy tax, Obama is affirming all that he telegraphed and which is laid out in detail in Power Grab.

If he's smart, Obama will let this slide. He can tell the "greens" that there was nothing he could do, the "Republican" courts overturned his decision. At the same time he's saved from the catastrophic consequences of his juvenile over-reaction. Win-win for him, I think. Best thing that could have happened to him, in this circumstance. He'd be smart to take it and run.

Mr. Horner

I went to amazon.com and read the excerpt from your book.
The excerpt ended with a take off on "What did you do in the war daddy?"
Quite appropriate, sir. Thank you. I could write the book. (Smile)
The question in my mind is, "what SHOULD we do in the war?"
Everyone keeps dancing around that question, don't they?
I think it is pretty obvious that you guys throw up the muck to get us all upset, but you leave it up to us to throw ourselves at the communist bayonets, while you guys diddle with "hypotheticals".

You may have accidentally seen my prayer here earlier today:

What worries me.

IF we pull off a sweep of the House of Reps, I am worrying about what the communists, (pardon the shorthand), will do in the lame duck period before next January.

HOUSTON...we have a problem!

I hope each of you will pray earnestly about how we save our country...one of us at a time.

I hope each one of you has been stocking up against the day.

""Dear Father, what am I to do? Is our country salvageable? Are we past the time where ballots mean anything?
Father, we have given them "our cloaks, and our tunics also". We have turned the other cheek, and we have prayed for those who persecute us.

Is "America" worth saving? Are we finally in the ultimate "self defense mode"?

Must we stand idly by and watch the lights of the world go out for a thousand years...or perhaps until Jesus comes again?

Are we truly in those "last days", when Satan is loosed for a time?
Father, please forgive us if we stand up to these demons with our faulty understanding of your will.
In Jesus' name we approach your throne.
Amen

Ken (Old Texan),

The answer to the prayer is found in the often repeated, “God helps those who help themselves”.

Americans have never flinched. We will not do so now if required to act. I often think of what went through the colonial patriot’s mind stepping from his home, perhaps for the last time.

With appropriate election results the ‘lame duck’ will be all but dead. If true we will be spared the agony of stepping from our homes once again.

Connie| 6.23.10 @ 12:27PM

Ken's not flinching, Gerald; trust me on this.

Obama provided Soros' oil company, Petrobras,
up to 10 billion dollars in loans to develop massive hydrocarbon reserves off the coast of Brazil. Many of these wells will be 15,000 feet deep--3X the depth of BP's rig in the Gulf

WHY

Will America survive?

Vote in this November election as if your life depends on it-it might.( unless of course BHO cancells them ). If you live in a red or purple state and you abre able--work to get out the vote and monitor voter fraud. If you live in a blue state--just6 vote and when possible --find even one person who sees the "light".
That is it.
