Too late to do Hillary much good. But she now has a higher
job approval rating than the Prez.
Dana Milbank explains:
It's about two years too late, but Hillary Clinton has finally
pulled ahead of Barack Obama.
By any measure -- favorability ratings or job approval --
Americans by a sizable margin have warmer views of the
secretary of state than they do of the president. This is of
little use to Clinton beyond bragging rights, but among Hillary
'08 fans there is some satisfaction that the woman Obama once
cut down as "likable enough" is now more liked than he is.
Depending on the measure and the poll, she leads him by roughly
10 to 25 percentage points.
I'd almost pay money to see a poll with one question:
Who has been a better U.S. president: Barack Obama or Bill
Clinton?
Don't get me wrong...Bill Clinton (he who did not protect young
Cuban (and now young communist) repatriate Elian Gonzalez, and
who protected by inaction Osama bin Laden when our armed forces
had the chance to stop him permanently) was and is just as
radical as our current "leader".
But he had that "self-preservation" instinct so many talk of
which seemed to lead him to choose letting people be happy if it
mean approval for HIM. And quite frankly, the American Dream was
alive and thriving under his "regime". In fact, the marketing
slogan for Atlanta, in whose suburbs I lived throughout the
Clinton presidency, was "HOME of the American Dream". I daresay
many ordinary, middle-class people made a lot of money during his
time and were far more secure about their present and future than
under our current president.
Clinton once described the presidency as being like a "relay
race", where you take the baton of your agenda as far as you can
go then pass it on to the next man. He was laying the groundwork
for BHO or one like him on many fronts.
Still, a poll of a comparison of favorability between those two
would be fascinating to see.

The "REALITY" is that Hillary would be simply "another" waking
nightmare.

She is a mean woman.

Doug,
Thanks. There is "hope" yet.
