Uh oh. Turns out there might be something of value in Afghanistan — lots of it — which our dreaded modern societies could put to productive use and which would help the Afghans develop.

Expect the fever swamps to erupt with a collective “Aha!” any moment, and Afghanistan to receive slightly different treatment in their narrative going forward.

The antimanic effects of Lithium were discovered by an Australian psychiatrist named John Cade in 1949.

Excellent drug in very small quantities.
