With about 30 percent of the vote reporting, Nikki Haley has a big lead in the South Carolina Republican primary for governor. She currently is taking 48 percent of the vote. The big question is whether she can crack the 50 percent mark and avoid a runoff. Right now, Rep. Gresham Barrett is in second place and would qualify for the runoff.

UPDATE: Haley finishes first but does not avoid a runoff.
