After his sentencing in the Mary Landrieu phone caper case limited his travel to New Jersey, Big Government undercover video reporter James O’Keefe decided to see what the Census Bureau is up to in his home state. It looks like at least one region is looking the other way as employees falsify their time sheets.
As you’ll see, he took it up the chain of command where he received a consistent response of “don’t worry about it.” Just a few bad apples? O’Keefe writes, “As to whether this is an “isolated incident” or if there are more Census videos showing more waste, fraud, and corruption, we’ll let you take a wild guess.

The debacle of this president’s administration is both a cause and a symptom of the decline of American values. Unless Congress impeaches him, that decline will go on unchecked. An eminent jurist surveys the damage and assesses the chances for the recovery of our culture.
It won’t take long for conservatives to scratch this presidential wannabe off their 2008 scorecard.

Sorry but its hard to get too worked up for a couple hours training classes where they dismissed early.

A couple hours a week for $18 an hour census workers isn't a big deal, but it's likely a pervasive attitude in our bureaucracy, and when you multiply a couple hours a week by 2 million bureaucrats, must of whom get paid a lot more than a census worker, that it some real money. Maybe some folks are not outraged, but I am.

Typical left. For a few days now I've noticed them downplay this like it was dead voters voting again. You can hear them brag about this being OK, a little corruption and fraud is OK since others do it too. A little fraud and corruption is OK as long as it's in the name of good.

When Bush left office only 192 government employees earned the maximum salary of $170K per year.
Last year Obama's first year as president the number of government employees earning the maximum salary increased to 10,000. Be worried be very worried.

This is a pretty amazing claim. How do you know this?

I am worried, VERY worried. This guy Obama doesn't just worry me, he scares me. This is but a drop of KY jelly on the slippery slope.

Thank God for James O'Keefe. I hope he has a long career of revealing fraud and wrong-doing. And that very funny ending to this this unfunny news about the census gave me a hearty laugh. What a sense of style! I hope that the young woman who worked with him in the ACORN reveal will rejoin his team -- we need more people like them.

It's disturbing to realize that the oath was given carelessly and incorrectly, and you have to wonder how common the practice is. "Swear" and "affirm" are alternatives in binding oneself to the oath's promises. The "swear to affirm" wording heard early in the tape is gibberish.

I, for one, want to make sure that everyone knows that this is not happening at every training center. My wife is a CL (Crew Leader) and she never got paid for time not worked, whether it was training or otherwise. In fact, she caught one employee, a regular "enumarator", who was trying to get credit for time worked when she didn't do it. This person was busted and shortly let go. So while I hate to see fraud anywhere, please remember there are (actually) honest, hard-working government workers. Not enough, no doubt, but let's not tar and feather them all...

You should be prosecuted by the federal courts for the camera on private government property. So, actually you are a law breaker just like the people you have exposed. Look in the mirror buddy! I sure you won't post this comment. Maybe you need to say a couple hundred Hail Mary's you are a big hypocrite!

What would you know about Hail Mary's, Margaraina?
