Burning Sensation?

This morning I submitted requests under the Freedom of Information Act to the U.S. Coast Guard, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) seeking internal discussions about whether and how to burn off oil leaking in the Gulf, and environmentalist pressure and involvement in those decisions.

There has simply been too much smoke out there to ignore suggesting that the administration heeded green group shrieks to not burn the oil as soon and as much as they should have. There is also continuing evidence that EPA, for whatever reason, was myopically concerned with air pollution that would come from burning the oil out at sea to the exclusion or diminution of concern over the impact the same oil would have if it migrated.

It also seems clear, including from former NOAA experts, that had the practice been engaged in as aggressively and early as it apparently should have been (before the oil becomes well mixed) much of that which is reaching shore would not have.

The simple fact of the matter is that green groups’ bottom lines benefit in years in which a high-profile ecological event occurs. The worse, the better. The environmental damage, while real, is temporary and if only for that reason it is not beyond the pale — when combined with the fact that the greens and the administration quite clearly saw the spill early on as an opportunity to advance their “green economy” and otherwise the global warming agenda — that the green groups and administration improperly impeded operations to burn the oil.

So, the public ought to see what was being said by whom and when about the prospect of this sort of intervention. More on this later.

....."Never let a crisis go to waste".....

C'mon people, what did you expect of these communists, (pardon the shorthand)?

There are some 5000 such drilling platforms working in the world; not one of them exploded like the BP one. Investigation should be made as to the real possibility that our eco-nazis placed underwater explosives remotely activated to produce this effect. It came suspiciously close to the remark by Abu Hussein al-Nairobi about permitting some offshore drilling in areas that have no oil in them.

The explosion happened on April, 21--just one day before Earth Day. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if an eco-nazi blew this rig up.

They don't care about the environment; power and control are what the fascist liberals are after.

Amen to that!

Who are we to argue with the 31,742 climate skeptics endorsing Marc Jeric's views

31,742 climate skeptics? More like 37 +million and counting, moron.

Globaloney Warming is a leftist power-grab, nothing more. You lied and cheated and you got caught. Sorry, you lose.

The Mexican's have a ton of Oil Rigs in the Gulf. And a few years ago one of them sank, but did you hear such an outcry then?? It as well spilled millions of gallons of crude into the gulf, but nobody said a word. A number of foreign countries are now getting ready to begin drilling between Florida and Cuba, Some deeper underwater than this one. So where is the outrage about that? If we had an administration that had the United States interests in mind, not the butt kissing all over the globe, and apologizing for our actions, we might be a lot better off. $7.00 per gallon for gasoline as Gore forecast is coming.

How hard would it be, really, for these well-financed econuts to get a boat, a remote vehicle, three bombs, and a guy inside to start the argument that was apparently going on (to draw their attention away, and to make sure there was no cohesion in their stories later). Way too easy. Five or ten people, max, and that would be five or ten people used to doing this stuff and keeping their mouth's shut about it, too. Think of all the econut damage we KNOW was done by econuts, but never got prosecutions for.
