Mr. Tyrrell,

That was truly funny.
Wlady,
Thank you.
May I enter some free verse here? OK.

BY THE DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT...
..."half reveals, half discloses..."
We can't quite discern the end game of the present administration with their prostituted congress. It is still too early in the morning, and the mists have not quite burned off yet.
We have witnessed the rockets’ glare over these last dark months, and we have glimpsed the haughty host poised on the beach for the assault.

We have watched the ripples of broadsides fired by the stately ships-o-the-line.

We cannot quite see the uniforms of that dread haughty host. Are they dressed in the uniforms with the red star on their caps? Are they dressed in the robes of Muslim pirates, with scimitars raised? Are they in disguise, and dressed just like us?

Lord of Hosts, help us discern! They are dressed in all of those uniforms. What shall we do? They are among us, in our own uniforms.

They are killing our men and raping our children. What shall we do?
…Does anyone here remember the name of the commander of Fort McHenry?
What would have happened if he was a traitor? What would have happened if he had been a coward? What would have happened if he had hated the upstart United States of America?

History would have been much different wouldn’t it?
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and crew would be a mere footnote.

Ladies and gentlemen, are …WE…to be a footnote to history?
…Will the star spangled banner yet wave, over the land of the free, and are we still brave?
Persevere Americans!

James Armistead, Commander, Fort McHenry

Sorry, that should be George, not James. he was a Lt. Col. at the time of his command.

Well that was funny. Finally, we get good humor from a good guy in Greg Gutfeld. Bob - good hire.
