In case you missed it, political analyst Charlie Cook now rates the Illinois Senate race “leans Republican.” The FDIC takeover of the Democratic nominee’s family bank has emerged as a huge political liability. It is now more likely than not that the Senate seats once held by Barack Obama and Joe Biden will fall to Republicans come November. Fairly liberal Republicans who voted for cap and trade in the House, but Republicans nonetheless.

Yeah, RINO's who will do further damage to the Republican brand if they achieve office. Oh, goody....I can hardly wait.

Name the last conservative republican to win a statewide race in IL that wasn't running against Carol Mosley Braun.

I'd rather have a RINO that votes for Republican leadership and may or may not vote with the party than a Democrat who will vote for their leadership and will not vote for what I value with any regularity at all. Do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

When Kirk voted for cap and trade the voters let him know about it big time. I don't think he will make that mistake again. He did chose not to attend a Sarah Palin fundraiser yesterday, so he is still aware that Illinois is a blue state and probably didn't want it to become a campaign issue with those that would make her an issue..

The clock is now ticking down to the moment that Democrats in Springfield and Washington "Torricelli" Mr. Giannoulias. He is living on borrowed time.
