The former New York City mayor who had a memorable dust-up with Ron Paul during the 2008 Republican presidential debates today endorsed against his son in Kentucky’s GOP primary for U.S. Senate. Giualini threw his support behind Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson, who is currently trailing Rand Paul in the contest to replace retiring Sen. Jim Bunning (R-KY).

Paul was recently endorsed by Bunning, Sarah Palin, and Steve Forbes, among others. Prominent Grayson supporters include Dick Cheney, Rick Santorum, and now Rudy Giuliani. The primary is May 18. Both Republicans lead both major Democratic candidates in the public polls.

The NeoCon establishment is pulling out all the guns now.

Stephen| 4.19.10 @ 4:32PM

The lines are drawn here. Rand Paul has the momentum t0 win this contest in the saga of the return of the Old Right.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 5:53PM

The "Old Right" to you is the Old Left of the 1960's. Anti-war peace-Niks.

That's what your Non-Interventionism is!

Just like the militant Adam Kokesh of Code Pink, you come off as all peace and love but in reality are sheep in wolf's clothing!

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 5:54PM

Wait a minute. I meant wolves in sheep's clothing.

anon| 4.19.10 @ 8:28PM

That's cool ..you can support a baby killing, bank friendly, big government RINO's. Perhaps you could start your own party...you can call it the Democratic lite party.

Pauley| 4.19.10 @ 9:36PM

Baby killing and bank friendly? You mean a bank friendly, pro-infanticide politician like Barack Obama who took nearly 1 million dollars in political donations from Goldman Sachs?

anon| 4.20.10 @ 8:18PM

Everyone knows Obama is a piece of shit...

but rudy is one too.... he likes killing babies in their womb and out of it...

he is a equal opportunity baby killer.

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 9:44PM

That's the first thing you've said that showed you had any balls. Kudos!

anon| 4.20.10 @ 11:02PM

Well its the truth!!

I think oabma is a corporatist fascist and a war monger at that. He took everything Bush did and did it a thousand times worse. This guy is dangerous, but I don't think putting democrat lite candidates like romney and rudy are going to help our country at all. the GOp needs to wise up, because the people they have been forcing on us for many years have not been conservative. they are the remnants of the Rockefeller republicans and leo Strauss supporters, who were former democrats who were kicked out for being nut jobs and then they joined the GOP.

We have to stick to our guns and stand up for what we believe in, because soon we will not be given the luxury of just hanging around and voting people out.

Our country is in rough shape and it is not just the dems who did it. the GOP is very complicit and this has to stop right here and right now.

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 11:25PM

Will wonders never cease! I agree with the Paultard--but that's as far as I'll go.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 11:37PM

Not a Paultard, but a arms length supporter of the representative. I think he makes some valid points that all conservatives should take heed. I do not think he would be a very good president, but he is someone who can inspire things domestically for the better and I think some of his arguments on foreign policy have merit. If someone else was saying these things I would give them a huge thumbs up. Will I vote for Paul in the primary is he runs, most likely, because as it stands there is no one on the GOP list of possible candidates that I could stomach. They are all bought....maybe Gary E Johnson, but he is so unknown he might as well not run...

The GOP is in rough shape... and in order to go to the next phase you are going to HAVE to sit at the table with the tea party, Paul and libertarian factions...

it is just a reality. Paul does have real potential to become a king maker... because whether you like it or not, the guy has a significant amount of support and money(the organizing capabilities of his camp are ridiculous too, it is unlike Romneys paid organization, these people do it for free). This applies to the tea party, minus the money, their grassroots portion of the movement is something to be reckoned with... and libertarians have always been the brains of the GOP. The guys who push the whole liberty concepts that the GOP used to hold so dear. There is a reason why Ronald Reagan likened himself a little l libertarian.

These are thing that have to happen if you want to get rid of Obama.... but I fear if you put in a Romney there will be no real difference except wedge issues and surface issues...

I can honestly sit here and look you in the face and show you how Bush and Obama hardly differ at all(which is pathetic that democrats blindly cheer this idiot). We have to stand up against things like the military industrail complex, Dwight Eisenhower was not a lunatic or a fringe nutcase, he was one of the most respectable presidents we ever had and I think one of the last good ones. He warned us about this and it is what dictates our foreign policy, this is something conservatives are going to have to come to grips with. No one is advocated laying on your back and taking it.... quite the opposite, the best offense is a great defense... and I think it is not too late to make this happen.... and yes we should help our allies when asked... but this whole bases all over the world and dictating how people should govern themselves is insane and a very liberal concept and we have had it pushed down our throats by the former democrats/neo conservatives for way too long now. It is time for a change.

Pauley| 4.21.10 @ 12:57AM

Your assumption is faulty--I am NOT a RINO.

Ryan| 4.20.10 @ 10:16AM

ARGH. I thought that you educated yourself on paleoconservatism.

Calling paleocons "peaceniks" is a huge stretch. They're not anti-defense, just isolationist. There's a HUGE difference. Many of them supported us going into WWII.

victor| 4.20.10 @ 1:03PM

*Old Right* was a faction of American conservatism that *opposed* both New Deal domestic programs and *also the entry of the U.S. into World War II.*"

"Paleoconservatives and paleolibertarians are often considered the successors and torchbearers of the Old Right view in the late 20th century and current era. Both of these groups often rally behind Old Right slogans such as "America First"

"The America First Committee (AFC) was the foremost non-interventionist pressure group against the American entry into World War II. Peaking at 800,000 members, it was likely the largest anti-war organization in American history."

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wi.....m1logo.jpg

You were saying?

Ryan| 4.20.10 @ 1:57PM

That's a bit of a minority.

Voting-wise, there was what, one person who voted against the war in Congress?

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 1:05PM

Uh, Ryan~ You get that education in here reading their posts. Let's see, they've shown that they really, really despise Israel, really, really despise normal Americans like me, Rush, Sean, Mark Levin, and look down below~ one of them suggested assassinating Michelle Malkin. (I hope someone reports that).

They say that America is an aggressor, blame us for the reason there is terrorism. And want to pull out troops from everywhere in the world.

Ryan~ I think you are either half asleep or want to be partially blind!

This type of mindset is dangerous. These people are militant. Just look at Adam Kokesh. These are not nicey-nice people. They are indeed LEFTIST. Ina ll the the above that I just mentioned, how is any of that conservative?

Ryan| 4.20.10 @ 1:56PM

They promote small government, less taxes, and a complete free market.

How is that not conservative?

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 5:43PM

Talking to you is like water off a duck's back. You ignored everything I just said.

col| 4.20.10 @ 8:19PM

sometimes when I read your posts my IQ drops 20 points...

It is like you live in some vacuum in space where nothing makes any sense.

and from what I saw it looks like some hillbilly racist came in and said someone should shoot malkin....

nothing new there..

Janice| 4.20.10 @ 9:47PM

You flatter yourself, col--your IQ couldn't afford to drop 20 points.

Just sayin'....

col| 4.20.10 @ 11:03PM

well its 135 and that 20 point dip still makes me 60 points above you. Also, someone here said you didn't exist and low and behold.

NO PAULTARDS!| 4.20.10 @ 11:23PM

Why don't you just make it 200 points? It would be about as honest. Snort!

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 4:33PM

Rudy is smart. He knows that Rand Paul believes like his Father does, and that his non-interventionist foreign policy mindset is loony. He also alines himself with Adam Kokesh of Code Pink. Nuff said.

"Ron Paul’s son is mounting a well funded effort to exploit the rising tide of voters who identify with the conservative name. But like his father, he rejects Ronald Reagan’s ‘Peace through strength’ acceptance of America’s leadership for freedom in the world. Like his father, he echoes Barack Obama’s illogical willingness to pretend that America is to blame for the hateful attacks directed against us by Middle East terrorists." ~Alan Keyes.

Stephen| 4.19.10 @ 4:38PM

Margie,

I don't think that Dr. Paul would disagree with the importance of "Peace through strength." He was a U.S. Air Force officer before his medical practice.

America is stronger, ultimately, through a classical non-interventionist foreign policy.
Israel is free to breathe, too.

JP| 4.19.10 @ 4:41PM

Being agressive abroad is not equal with protecting America. Merely because one is on offense does not mean that our interests are best protected. Athens was on offense for most of the Peloponnesian War, and look how that worked out. Sparta was on offense when she was crushed by the Theban Sacred Band. Sometimes it is offense which is most dangerous to the preservation of our liberties.

Stephen| 4.19.10 @ 4:42PM

Yes, true.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 6:49PM

Can you guys go back any further? I think you might be leaving something out.

Ryan| 4.20.10 @ 10:20AM

However, being proactive isn't always a bad thing. It's hard to argue that the idea that Saddam needed to be removed; that we needed to go into Afghanistan post 9/11; and that we need to be more proactive against Iran. The execution was wrong at times, but the idea that there are American interests in a free and democratic world is hard to disprove.

Isolationism doesn't always work, either.

col| 4.20.10 @ 8:15PM

I can argue removing saddam was a bad idea.. It was a foolish idea that has killed millions. We needed to send a small force to hunt down and kill the air pirates in afghanistan, we did not need to occupy it. the more you give Iran attention the more emboldened it becomes. Let Israel deal with it and mind our own business, the reason Iran has The Ayatollah is because of our installing the Shah....Everytime we involve ourselves in these issues that bite us in the ass. How about this time we take a step back because everytime we try and make the world a unicorrn and rainbow filled utopia by supporting dictators and terrorists... it eventually ends up where we get attacked or people want to attack us...

Non interventionism is not isolationism.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 5:14PM

Well peace and lovey-doviness and flowers. Let's all bury our heads in the sand together.

Alec| 4.20.10 @ 7:53AM

Margie, have you ever heard of classical just-war theory? I didn't think so. Our leaders tend to ignore it except to spin propaganda. It's how you tell the difference between "the good guys" and "the bad guys." And with the enthusiastic support of people like you, our country seems determined to be among "the bad guys."

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 6:24PM

I bet you believe Alex Jones, too. Typical Paul-bot.

gunny| 4.20.10 @ 8:11PM

Just War Theory is a doctrine of military ethics of Roman philosophical and Catholic origin..it has nothing to do with Alex Jones and you never answered his question you never answer any questions.. you just label someone and then call them insane. I guess everyone is a lunatic but you margie... here you go darlin...the walls are padded so you don't hurt yourself... that's a good girl.. dinners at 6.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 6:50PM

Actually, it depends on your definition of "Israel is free to breathe."

anon| 4.19.10 @ 9:04PM

He means they can do whatever they want to without the United states holding them back, because they over 200 nukes and the most advanced military in central asia. They could easily wipe out the entire middle east witha press of a button and then kill every palestinian, in a matter of minutes..

Where I think this would be the most horrible thing possible and pray that would never happen, they could do it.

Pauley| 4.19.10 @ 9:39PM

What's more likely is that radical jihadists will attempt to destroy Israel.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 8:09PM

You really think that would ever happen? you would have to be a fool....a real serious fool.

Where do you people come up with this stuff?

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 9:49PM

"acceptance of America’s leadership for freedom in the world"

Hey Margie, where is "leadership for freedom in the world" authorized as a role for the US in the Constitution? Article and section please.

Alan Keyes is bitter because his neocon interventionism cost him the Constitution Party nomination to the much less well known but non-interventionist Chuck Baldwin.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 6:04PM

I don't know, Red. Where is baking cookies in the Constitution? article and section please.

Red Phillips | 4.19.10 @ 6:15PM

Margie, where did you get that quote from Keyes? I want to link to it on my blog. I love needling Alan "Sour Grapes" Keyes for his neocon interventionism that the authentically conservative Constitution Party had good sense enough to reject.

Red Phillips | 4.19.10 @ 6:26PM

Never mind. I found it. Now time to go poke fun at Keyes for being such a bitter neocon shill.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 6:31PM

Well when you get back you better tell me where baking cookies is in the Constitution.

Red Phillips | 4.19.10 @ 10:57PM

Margie, I thought about answering your silly question, but I couldn't figure out how to do it without sounding pedantic. And I didn’t want to be accused of making fun of you again so I just substituted a swipe at Keyes. But here goes. Keyes is accusing Rand Paul, who is running for United States Senator, not Emperor of the World, of being insufficiently dedicated to preserving America’s leadership role for “freedom in the world.” He was not suggesting that Rand was insufficiently dedicated to baking cookies. So if Keyes (and you) are suggesting that seeking a leadership role in ensuring “freedom in the world” is important, perhaps either of you should point to the part of the Constitution that authorizes the Fed Gov to pursue such an activity. I can point to the part of the Constitution that authorizes NATIONAL DEFENSE and securing the borders? Can you please point me to the part that authorizes ensuring “freedom in the world?” Thanks.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 11:25PM

Red,
Wow, it's really hard for you, isn't it, trying to be decent. I will have to give you a little credit today.
By the way, I may I call you a Paul-Bot, since you have referred to me as a Neo-Con?
Thank you, I will.

Well, you are really hung up on those specific words, aren't you? The ones Do you obfuscate for a living or do you just do it here? The statement that Alan Keyes made did not say what you are saying he said. He was saying that that is our example. We are an example of leading by peace through strength. The important point that you are ignoring is that Mr. Paul thinks like his Daddy does, which is dangerous. "Like his father, he echoes Barack Obama’s illogical willingness to pretend that America is to blame for the hateful attacks directed against us by Middle East terrorists." How come you don't want to deal with that? Hmm?

You actually considered answering the question about the cookies? Ha.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 11:29PM

*correction~ (was going to say you are really hung up on the words "freedom in the world.") scratch that.
It's not easy trying to untangle your twisty kind of obfuscations, you know.

Ryan| 4.20.10 @ 10:21AM

Modern democracies don't attack each other. Period. It's in American interests that other peoples be free.

Last time I checked, we are a Constitutional Republic.

Red Phillips | 4.20.10 @ 8:56AM

SoCon, perhaps you could help Margie locate the Article and section of the Constitution that authorizes the US to take a "leadership" position "for freedom in the world." Thanks.

SoCon| 4.20.10 @ 3:26PM

Nah, Red--I already have enough on my plate today; I don't need any more duties, okay?

cookies???

you people never answer questions that have to do with history or policy...

So what do you expect the answer to an asinine question to be??

Why not ask someone a real question...

iamse7en| 4.19.10 @ 7:25PM

Non-interventionist policy is loony? Was Washington a loon? Jefferson?

George Washington: "The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible… Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves, by artificial ties, in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics, or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her [Europe] friendships or enmities."

Thomas Jefferson: "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none."

And you can't say that it's unrealistic in this day in age. It's the same argument by the liberals to justify their welfare/nanny state. The constitution and principles espoused by founding fathers no longer applies? Try going down that road.

Ron Paul drives a hard point, which is hard to argue. We have troops in over 130 countries. You think that's wise? We've haven't tried non-interventionism almost 100 years.

We get more peace through commerce, but Paul supports a strong national defense. Just not a completely careless and unconstitutional one like we have now.

AverageGOPvoter| 4.19.10 @ 9:01PM

Thomas Jefferson never had to deal with Muslim terrorists...

wait what's that?

Uhm ok so he did have to deal with muslim terrorists and succeeded in eliminating the threat...

but but

that don't mean we shouldn't just go ahead and attack occupy a couple of countries and spend thousands of lives and dollars in the meantime..

It makes the GOP look so macho don't it.. we can pick up hot babes like Margie and Janice... and ann coulter.

Pauley| 4.19.10 @ 9:50PM

Like an ugly, braindead loser such as you would ever have a shot at any three of those hot Conservative babes!

Who is Janice, moron?

averageGOPvoter| 4.20.10 @ 8:04PM

I think it is your mom.

I sure we get to vote for a really old conservative whose turn it is to run for president.... or some poser like Romney..... then we can lose to a corporatist fascist warmonger and then talk about how conservative we are while voting for big spending bills....

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 9:54PM

You sure you want to bring up moms? Not a real good idea for you, especially considering the beat up old bag who had the grave misfortune of whelping you.

Ryan| 4.20.10 @ 10:22AM

Where were the Muslim terrorists that Jefferson had to deal with? America or overseas?

anon| 4.20.10 @ 8:02PM

Stay off the crack, bozo.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 10:34PM

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 11:18PM

Last time I checked my history book, those 'scary' pirates didn't fly their 'scary' pirate ships into the Trade Towers killing 3000 Americans.

What's in your history book, moron?

RealConservative| 4.19.10 @ 8:30PM

Adam Kokesh of the Iraq Veterans For Peace. He was originally assigned to November Battery, 5th Battalion, 14th Regiment of the 4th Division. In 2004, he volunteered for deployment to Iraq as part of the 1st Regiment Detachment of the 3rd Civil Affairs Group and served in Fallujah from February to September 2004.

That guy is a wimpy limp wristed hippy that one there yup yup...

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 10:14PM

No Dummy. He is with a group that call themselves IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR.
From Michelle Malkin's site:

"Before there was a nationwide, grass-roots Tea Party movement, there was another nationwide, grass-roots movement that brought thousands of Americans to Washington, D.C. They called themselves the “Gathering of Eagles.” I covered two massive, GoE rallies against the Soros-funded, anti-war Left in March 2007 and September 2007. GOE activists continue to expose the transnational progressives, anti-military bullies, and phonies who operate under the “peace” banner.
One of the groups that GOE dogged was Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) — whose members have included bomb-threat bullies and death-threat nutballs who threatened to assassinate me, fake Army vet Jesse MacBeth, and another prominent member who smeared the Young America’s Foundation by faking an anti-Muslim hate flyer and smeared David Horowitz with similar race-card playing flyers, then weaseled out of the attacks by claiming they were “satire.”
The last two incidents involved an IVAW member named Adam Kokesh. He marched in uniform in mock patrols for the anti-war movement, paraded around holding an upside-down American flag (see Jonn Lilyea for more), was arrested for defacing signs, and traveled to Germany to urge soldiers to abandon their posts and seek aid and comfort with his anti-war minions.
Kokesh, believe it or not, is now running as a Republican candidate for Congress in New Mexico. And, believe it or not, he is getting positive exposure on at least one Fox News show. He has the backing of Ron Paul, the Republican Liberty Caucus, and the 9/12 Project.
The New Mexico Republican Party has its head in the sand. If you have friends and family in New Mexico, make sure they know who the real Adam Kokesh is.
He is an anti-war smear merchant in GOP clothing. Spread the word."

So people who are not americans, cannot challenge peoples ideas??

Are you referencing William R. or someone else?

I am an American....and I will challenge her. I think she is to ignorant to be allowed near a voting both alongside tens of millions of voters.

In fact I think their should be a test to be allowed to vote. If you cannot figure out basic civics, american history, and know a majority of the constutution...you should not be allowed tovote..

because clearly....this is not working so far.. How many more fascist corporatist war mongers can we vote in??

Janine| 4.20.10 @ 5:55PM

You mean fascist war-mongers like Obama?

anon| 4.20.10 @ 7:54PM

Barack Obama is a fascist Warmonger....yes you are right...I guess you are just like a stopped clock...let's see if you can get something else right.

Janice| 4.20.10 @ 10:03PM

You're an asshole? Sounds right to me.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 10:39PM

So we all agree Obama is a Fascist War monger, yet this does not apply to neo-cons?

Well I guess that is new logic as applied by Janice.

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 6:35PM

Indeed there ought to be a test. Those who actually are as imbecilic as you who dare to come out and say that America is at fault for the terrorists flying planes into our buildings like said in your post, below~ shouldn't be allowed to vote. You should be hung for treason. Or at least sedition. Lunatic.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 7:57PM

the CIA stated that was the reason why people flew planes into our buildings on 9/11. this is why we need the voter test, because.....you don't make any sense.

Blowback....read about it... it is in the 911 commision report.. it is also in a report by the CIA.

What's the difference? You dirtbags all sound the same--you live and breathe herd-think.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 10:42PM

Uh actually I have seen a bevy of ideas and philosophy from people who seem to be either libertarian, old school conservatives, and ron paul folks on here. What I have seen from you and the others are personal attacks. In fact the only thing one could surmise from your posts are that you hate people who are non interventionists. I also would see that you do not stand for anything.

I am so glad we "liberated" afghanistan so child rape could become prevalent. That's freedom baby.... way to go!..

yet another form of blowback.

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 10:52PM

You're such a lowlife. You know damn well that child rape has been a part of Islamic culture for hundreds of years. Little boys' rectums have to be sewn up regularly because of the sick perversions of some Afghani men.

They treat their women worse than dogs--and you're shocked they bugger small children? More Paultard herd-think.
A-Hole.

Because I don't live there..... I am not their neighbor... and its not our job to liberalize the world.

how about Iranians standing up for themselves like we did to topple the regime that oppressed us.

Also...... why are we supporting and funding a terrorist group called the MKO or The Mujahadeen of Iran, which is a terrorist group who have sent into Iran to blow up schools, terrorize the local population, and destroy infrastructure?

Why are you a lapdog for a murderous regime that tortures and kills its own people?

What does that make you?

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 5:49PM

These are the Paul-Bots. This is what Rand Paul represents. Pure insanity.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 7:52PM

Is it more insane to let a revolution happen organically in iran or is it more insane to fund terrorist organizations to kill innocent people in Iran?

paulbot? what does that make you a fascistabot.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 7:50PM

I fully support a revolution in Iran.. that has nothing to do with the united states..

So you never answered the question why are we arming and funding terrorists to kill people in Iran??

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 10:09PM

You never condemned the actions of the murderous thugs that run Iran; that makes you culpable for their hideous actions, too. Why do you hate the poor Iranian people?

anon| 4.20.10 @ 10:46PM

It is implied by my wish that there was a revolution in Iran.... but you see iran is not my government and the United States is...i should be condemning MY government for arming,, training, and funding terrorists. that is something that I can tangibly and actually make a difference even if it is insignificant. I cant do anything about Iran... their government is horrible and that si why people have begun to rise up. I applaud them as I applaud all people rising against there government globally. thailand, greece, Kyrgyzstan ,etc..

Now the real question is why do you hate everyone in the world and in our own country so much that you would rather sit idly by while your tax dollars pay for murder and terrorism. Which makes you more than culpable it makes you guilty. Which will forever be on your conscious. You sat idly by while you condoned state sanctioned murder. how does all that blood on your hands feel?

anon| 4.20.10 @ 10:47PM

Also you refuse to answer any questions you simply just ask questions when asked a question. you distract and divert...

you would make goebbels proud.

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 10:54PM

I'm sure you know a lot about Nazis, little Hitler. Got your jackboots on?

Sieg heil, anon!

anon| 4.20.10 @ 11:11PM

So why is it ok for our government to train, fund, and arm terrorists?

Pauley| 4.21.10 @ 12:49AM

Why do you love to give the Mullahs lap dances?

anon| 4.21.10 @ 10:23AM

Well, you proven that you are an idiot and a supporter of murder. Can I buy you a ticket to Iran?? there you can help the people rise up against their masters...or a ticket to afghanistan, where we can get you to fight the Taliban to protect the homeland, or Iraq, where we can get you to negotiate between the ever shifting power structure that is tentative at best and on the verge of another civil war...

I think you ought to join the MKO and murder innocent civilians and school children with U.S made weapons and bomb making material.

I can buy them immediately and have you sent in less then a week. You ready???

maybe you can be just like these guys

Pauley| 4.27.10 @ 8:06PM

I'm sure you have a lot in common with the child rapists--the way you defend them and all.

joeB| 4.19.10 @ 8:35PM

Yes that has to be some of the most ridiculous stuff I have ever seen. This woman is a complete nut case, her and Janice. Alan Keyes?? huh?? he is the most fringe nut case of the Republican Party, actually the American Independent party. this is after the Constitution party booted him out, because they thought he was nuts....the constitution party thought he was nuts....HAHAHAHA!!!

He ran for President of the United States in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2008, and was a Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in 1988, 1992, and 2004. He ran as an" Independent" in 2008.

We all remember his wonderful senate run, where he left Maryland to run in Chicago, after criticizing Hillary Clinton of the same thing. He is the reason we have Barack Obama right now as we speak. I also blame the GOP for allowing such an idiotic thing to happen, which further proves that the GOP leadership has got to go.

Pauley| 4.19.10 @ 9:46PM

"her and Janice." Terrible grammar; and who is Janice?
Thank God for our idiotic adversaries! Someone needs another round of electro-shock therapy.

Moron.

JoeB| 4.20.10 @ 8:21AM

Yes picking out a single grammar mistake destroys any of the content. Janice is another poster who frequents this website.

I love how none of you address content.. only pick out grammar, which is what people do when they cannot address information or data.

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 3:16PM

Who is Janice and why do you whiners keep bringing her up? Shadow boxing much?

Poor usage of the English language undercuts your argument--makes you look undisciplined and sloppy. Sorry.

Try harder next time.

JoeB| 4.20.10 @ 7:47PM

Actually it means I am posting on a blog comment board and really could care less about grammar in this context and if you do then you probably have way too much time on your hands.

JoeB| 4.20.10 @ 7:49PM

Also, you still have nothing to say of merit. No information, no facts, no data, no new stories, ...nada...nothing...zilch.

All you have is.... personal attacks. I will personally attack you while pile information on your head...so much it hurts your narrow little view of the world. I am awaiting phase two of the attack on me personally where you start categorizing me by some political or socio genre..

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 10:13PM

You butcher the English language so badly your opinions become moot. (look it up)

I categorize you by your stupidity.
BTW--who is the mythical Janice? More proof that you're unhinged.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 10:49PM

looks like she posted on this page. Who is the unhinged one now?

Now seeing as you have so much time to be perfect grammar man on a blog comment page...

perhaps you could take that time to actually educate yourself to history and the things around you instead of supporting terrorists or is supporting baby killing a past time of yours?

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 10:56PM

Your obsession with Janice is very telling.
Next, you'll be whining and crying about the mythical "Joanie."

anon| 4.20.10 @ 11:12PM

she posted three times on this page. So it seems like you are looking more and more like an asshole as time progresses. Would you like to distract and divert some more?

Janice| 4.21.10 @ 12:48AM

Three times? Maybe four, could your lying eyes be lying to you once again?

Sean| 4.19.10 @ 4:55PM

One liberal supporting another one, nothing new here.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 5:16PM

He may be liberal in some areas but he's kick butt where it counts. I'd rather have Rudy anyday than some peace-nik. They're dangerous.

Sean| 4.19.10 @ 7:18PM

Here are the things I am afraid of.
1. An erosion to our Constitutional freedoms. Rudy and Trey don't kick butt here.
2. Run away government spending. Rudy and Trey don't kick butt here either.
3. Illegal immigration. Rudy and Trey don't kick butt here either.

anon| 4.19.10 @ 8:47PM

Who is the peacenik...

Strong defense and sane foreign policy is not being a peacenik. If someone attacks you you defend yourself and eliminate them. The only people that attacked us was a ragtag group of extremists who were hiding in a lawless area between pakistan and afghanistan.

you send 5.000 special forces and you kill them all.

It is what we did back in the day.

The attacks were defined as acts of "air piracy" the Marque and Reprisal Act , which would have granted the president the authority to use letters of marque and reprisal against the specific terrorists, instead of warring against a foreign state. The terrorists were compared to pirates in that they are difficult to fight by traditional military means.

So instead we attacked two countries...without declaration of war. We are attacking nations with drones, i.e Pakistan and Yemen. We have lost thousands of men and womens lives, killed millions of civilians, spents trillions of dollars...

for what?

People still hate us, because we are still there, more terrorists have been created, more former nations have fallen apart, and we are bankrupt.

Look you fools, don't you get it. All of us, hate terrorism. We support the military(which has been torn apart by all this madness), We support strong national defense, secured borders, and we are against being the world's policemen. We do not have to, let these people deal with their own problems or let their neighbors assist. Only in dire circumstances should we commit ourselves to war. Our founding fathers said this at length. I really do not get why you cannot understand this....

There is no need to have bases in 150 countries... that is insane.

Have you no interest in history? Rome, Britain, France, what did all of these things have in common.

No one here is advocating just eliminating the military and just allow everyone to attack us.... in fact it the exact opposite... please be rational, just for moment, I know you can have a lucid moment just long enough to think about what the hell you are advocating. It is dangerous, it has been and it always will be.

michael| 4.19.10 @ 11:39PM

hear here!

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 11:45PM

Duh. Hear where? You are applauding this nonsense? You actually believe that America is "creating terrorists?" You believe this drivel? Well bravo for you, you've lost your mind and fit right in with the Paul-bots. Congrats.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 8:24AM

Uh the CIA actually reported on us creating more terrorists and it is pretty much common knowledge...

for ever action their is an opposite and equal reaction...

You occupy someones country with disproportionate warfare, terrorists ram planes into your buildings..

Its not rocket science.

Ryan| 4.20.10 @ 10:28AM

Who did we occupy with "disproportionate warfare" that prompted the attacks?

Muslim extremism is to blame. Any "occupation" is just another excuse for them.

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 6:21PM

You see this is the mindset, yet you back these people.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 7:43PM

Bombing Iraq for ten years straight.

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 6:28PM

Typical Blame America First lunatic!

This is why Paulites will NEVER become President.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 7:42PM

Uh,yeah you have to point out america for it's faults and the things that have occured due to it's policies which are fueled by corporations...you have to take responsibility for our nations actions...as you would with your own life.... when you see problem and you see policies causing harm to our nation.. you end them and move on to better things...

It's pretty simple.. you lead by example... you do what the founding fathers intended, and you try to walk the walk.

as it stands our government has done a whole lot of talking about human rights and liberty and democracy... yet the actions are contrary.

So lets spell it out for you...real simple so you can understand....

you stop doing it... you act like an upstanding world citizen and stop acting like an asshole.

the problem with you nutcases is that you think America does no wrong. What kind of child like mentality is that. Do you live your personal life that way???

If you do, then you must be a miserable asshole, because anyone I know who does whatever the hell they want to and never admits to any wrong is hated by everyone and no one wants anything to do with them and they die miserable lonely jerks.

Now is the United States behind all the worlds woes? NO, absolutely not. To think that way is equally naive.

You have to understand that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction...

if you occupy Saudi Arabia for years on end you are going to piss off the muslims...Ronald Reagan even said these people are irrational and we should stay out of their business.

If you attack a nation for fake reasons destroy their infrastructure, remove a huge population from working in government, allow their dictator who you propped up and gave WMD's back in the 80's, to be killed....then you are going to piss off a bunch of irrational muslims....

If you attack a nation that only allowed terrorists to have camps in their nation and do not even declare war on them and then occupy it for 8 years you are going to piss off a bunch of irrational muslims..

If you support only one nation in the entire region all the time... you are going to piss off a bunch of irrational muslims...

so fortha nd so on...

It is pretty simple... you do that you get people who hate youa nd want to attack you..

no one atatcked us on 9/11 because they hate freedom, if you think that then you might possibly be an idiot...

but wait... then the rest of us take a step back and look at all of you and say..

"holy crap, better leave those idiots alone they are completely irrational".

PS....so you think the CIA is part of the blame america first crowd?

Also, do you think Dwight Eisenhower was a blame america firster???

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 10:19PM

Lovely combination: A foul-mouthed punk who butchers the English language. If you think you've made friends here who might vote for Ron Paul, you're wrong--you've just made more enemies for yourself and that little freak you worship.

Your job is done, Paultard; you've just alienated more Conservatives. As usual.

anon| 4.20.10 @ 10:54PM

I really dont care if you vote for ron paul.

instead of recognizing history and facts you people create your own delusional world where boogeymen are out to get you and you are afraid of some little nobody nothing from texas...

how pathetic are you people?

All I want is to have a constitutional based republic where we follow the law. i don't care who does ...just do it. If its a pip squeak from Texas than so be it. Frankly, I am past the whole cult of personality and would just like to see people stop acting like such assholes and by the way there numb nuts, if you can't handle curse words, then go back to the kiddie pool.

Also, I have yet to see you even bring up policy, history, information, facts, or data. you just seem to be calling people names. At least when I call you a name I throw in some pertinent information. For instance, how Ronald Reagan said we ought to leave the crazy muslims alone, but hell that is unimportant isn't it, because facts just get in the way.

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 10:59PM

Crawl back under the slimy Paultard rock you call home, fascist.

At least you aren't constantly misspelling words--good job! I knew you could do it!

anon| 4.20.10 @ 11:16PM

uhm.... did you skip the part where I could care less about Ron Paul and just want a constitutionalist government?? I guess not, you are too focused on spelling mistakes and grammar. I suppose it is your MO. Distract and divert... make sure no one is talking about facts....

Facts are simple and facts are straight
Facts are lazy and facts are late
Facts all come with points of view
Facts don't do what I want them to
Facts just twist the truth around
Facts are living turned inside out
Facts are getting the best of them
I'm still waiting

Pauley| 4.21.10 @ 12:45AM

Well, get used to it because I don't give a sh!t what you want, moron.

anon| 4.21.10 @ 10:27AM

Good thing you are in the minorty now, because that kind of mind numbing divert and distraction tactic worked wonders for the most evil men working in administrations and congress. It's almost like you are either hiding something or scared of something either way, the folks that have your mentality are waning and dwindling in numbers.

That gives me a big ol smile

Pauley| 4.27.10 @ 8:08PM

I'm not in the minority, moron; keep whistling past the graveyard, though.

You're just another crazy fringer.

Red Phillips | 4.19.10 @ 5:40PM

Is RINO Rudy's endorsement a positive?

If I was Rand Paul, I would use RINO Rudy's endorsement of Greyson against him. What's next, is Charlie Crist going to endorse Greyson?

William R| 4.19.10 @ 5:51PM

I think it'll hurt Greyson.

Norm Browning| 4.19.10 @ 5:57PM

Let's give Rudy more respect than that. This is a guy that brought some real conservative solutions to a city that is over 2-1 Democrat. Crist isn't in Rudy's league ...

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 6:01PM

Rudy's no mealy-mouthed protectionist either.

anon| 4.19.10 @ 8:50PM

whose advocating protectionism??

Last I checked the Paul boys were for Fair trade.

tom| 4.19.10 @ 10:04PM

Does she even know what 'protectionist' means?

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 10:30PM

I meant Isolationism. Now git along little doggies!

Red Phillips | 4.19.10 @ 10:32PM

Ron Paul is a proponent of Austrian Economics. You can't get any more dogmatically pro-free trade than that. Anyone who doesn't know this doesn't have the slightest clue about where Ron Paul stands. Paul and many other ardent free traders opposed NAFTA, GATT, and the WTO because they compromise American sovereignty and enshrined managed trade.

I say that not to either defend free trade or protectionism, but just to set the record straight. People who say Paul is against free trade because he opposes various trade deals are either ignorant or deliberately attempting to deceive.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 10:35PM

You didn't see my note, above. I meant to say Isolationism. So, you can "scratch that."
TY.

joeb| 4.20.10 @ 8:25AM

His comments still dispel your isolationist rant as well....

But hey you don't understand it, because you are too ignorant too, so you will have someone else tell you that is what he and his supporters are for...

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 5:52PM

Don't think I'm the one who is not only ignorant, but blind. You freaks are Isolationist and you spout your lunacy for all to see.
Your Paulites will never become President for this very reason.
Dream on all you Utopian dreamers!

Gunny| 4.20.10 @ 7:27PM

You support Alan Keyes and Michelle Malkin, end of story, you are a nut case.

Also, anyone who advocates interventionist policy is typically a socialist one world utopia jobber. They like big government to wipe their asses and read them bedtime stories so they don't wet the bed and hope and pray everyone in the world can have a big brother like they do.

wastes of space. you are the same people who think George Bush is a conservative...take your Leo Strauss loving socialist BS and move to europe.

Brown-noser.

col| 4.19.10 @ 8:49PM

It is really going to hurt him...

What kind of idiot would want that guys endorsement... In Kentucky?????

Any sane conservative would say.. uh no thanks... can I get someone who is not attached to the part of the party where a majority of conservatives hate them...i.e Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Rudy Guiliani, and almost every incumbent republican...

Does this guy not get it... those millions of people who marched on D.C hate everything people like Rudy represent.

Wally| 4.20.10 @ 3:12AM

So you know what was in the heads of ALL those millions who marched on DC? Really?

Care to share how you know? Megalomaniac.

col| 4.20.10 @ 8:26AM

uhm......just ask them.

Wally| 4.20.10 @ 3:31PM

Did you, moron? Or are you hitting that crystal ball again?

col| 4.20.10 @ 7:22PM

Well when I was there....it seemed that there was a distinct hatred for incumbent GOP members of congress and particularly towards RINO's. Northeastern liberal Republicans... There also seemed to be a lot of hate towards John McCain.

Wally| 4.20.10 @ 10:21PM

I think the hatred you felt was yours--you say it a lot.

col| 4.20.10 @ 10:56PM

uhm have you noticed. America is pissed off and yeah we are pretty full of piss and vinegar. We are sick and tired of the federal government, end of story.

Pauley| 4.20.10 @ 11:01PM

You're probably one of the A-Holes calling in death threats. That's going to do us a lot of good, loser.

You need some anger management therapy.

col| 4.20.10 @ 11:22PM

I do not condone violence. That is not a good way to get things done. We need to elect smart constitutionalists who know how to do their job, which the job description is right in the constitution. Pretty simple stuff.

The racists and death threat folks... man oh man oh... it sucks. I just wish that the whole stormfront people would go away. I am proud to say that friends of mine scared the shit out of Stormfront and stopped Jared Taylor a horrible racist from speaking in their city. I recommend we do the same to the neo nazis and klansmen. Just let them know they are not welcome

I just want to point out that we probably agree on 65% on policy issues. It seems foreign policy is puts us at an impasse. I just do not see how it is effective to be an interventionist. I also find it odd that back in the 90's conservatives were screaming how awful it was that we were the worlds policeman when Clinton was in charge. I also do not see where any of our government officials are truly adhering to the constutution. I also do not see how voting for faux conservatives is going to solve anything.

Pauley| 4.21.10 @ 12:43AM

You know what your real problem is? You Paultards come on this blog breathing fire and assuming the worst about the posters here.
You are insulting and obnoxious, and for some reason you think if you insult us enough we will start agreeing with you 100%.

Where and when does that philosophy ever work in life?
Nowhere and never, babe.

You're pessimistic; I think we agree on 80% of the issues. I love my country first and do NOT want to be the world's cop; but I don't believe in isolationism, either.

I think nation building is BS, too. GWB was a disaster for our party, a real destroyer.

I loathe RINOs but I also don't trust Ron Paul.
Are we really that far apart? I sure hope not, our country's future depends on us.

anon| 4.21.10 @ 10:30AM

well said... yet, I think a lot of the resentment and anger comes from you assuming everyone is a paultard. I know I came upon this page, because I have in interest of the growing popularity of Paul and I would rather have him then a lot of other folks, but that is really telling. If that's all we have, we are doomed...lol.

I just want someone who is a toned down version of Ron Paul and it seems that his son is... all though time will tell with that.

So here is the thing... we are going to have to work with the Paul people and a whole slew of folks in order to get our act together and not back someone because it is there turn.

Pauley| 4.27.10 @ 8:15PM

You're wrong: Paultards have always had a massive chip on their shoulder from day one. That's the reason for the word, "Paultards!"

They've always acted like all the bloggers on this site were Neocons--and their hostility was off the charts from the beginning. I didn't even know that much about them in the beginning; but their unprovoked noxious behavior was extremely off-putting.

They made a lot of enemies unnecessarily.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 10:33PM

Better a so- called RINO who is in his right mind than one who believes as Mr. Paul does. He is worse than weak when it comes to foreign policy. He sympathizes with the terrorists like his Daddy does. Poor, poor Iran. You know...they feel threatened by us. Poor babies! THAT is who you'd rather have in office?
Of course Red, because it matches up with your same mindset.
Sad.

So.... it doesn't bother you guys that Rand Paul is aligning himself with the whack job Adam Kokesh of Code Pink?

For some reason I don't ever get an answer to that. Hmm, I wonder why? (not).

Sean| 4.19.10 @ 7:26PM

It doesn't bother me as Adam Kokesh is rather harmless. In fact I think in Congress he would vote against big government, which would be a welcome relief from your average liberal big spending neocon.

AverageGOPvoter| 4.19.10 @ 8:52PM

You mean he would vote against big government???
agahast can't we just keep electing guys who say they are for big government and then do the exact opposite and then laugh at us...

I like those good ol days when the republican party thought I was a complete idiot and that I actually believed what they are saying..

This guy is actually going to... do what ....he says???

uhm I am not comfortable wuth that

col| 4.19.10 @ 8:55PM

Adam Kokesh is a decorated Iraq War veteran who helped organize IRAQ VETERANS FOR PEACE.

Code Pink is a womens group founded by medea benjamin.

It's kind of funny you continue to be factually incorrect.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 10:27PM

Wow you are SO smart, troll. Adam Kokesh is with IRAQ VETERANS AGAINST THE WAR. He testified at a "Whistle Blower Tribunal" sponsored by none other than the despicable creature, Sheila Jackson Lee.
Part of his loony statement was this: "We take it as our duty to speak out, and to cut through the lies, spin, and propaganda that are being used to manipulate society into supporting a war that is not in our best interest as a nation.... That we have faced the challenges we have, is a testament to the fact that someone is up to something in Iraq. Not only is the occupation immoral, illegal, and bad for America, it is fundamentally corrupt, and those that are benefiting from it do not want Americans to understand that reality."

Code Pink is a women's Org. It is a Leftist Anti-War freakazoid group of gals that Mr. Kokesh aligned himself with.

It's "kind of funny" that you go around getting your "facts" all wrong.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 10:58PM

The ENTIRE point of all this is that RAND PAUL is aligned with Kokesh.
What's that saying? You know a man by the company he keeps?

col| 4.20.10 @ 8:27AM

michelle malkin???.. now I know your insane.

So let's go donw the list so far.. you love michelle malkin and alan keyes...

so why are we even talking to you??

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 5:54PM

Right. And you show your true colors for the whole world to see. I'm truly glad you did. Thank you.

col| 4.20.10 @ 7:21PM

That made a whole lot of sense. you support and follow nutcases...there for presumably, you are a nutcase. So it boils down to...why do they allow mentally ill people such as you vote?

barry| 4.20.10 @ 8:29AM

I think anyone who aligns with each other to stop two illegal wars.. is fine by me...

Sometimes you have to keep strange bedfellows to stop evil...

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 6:41PM

barry, The wars were not illegal. Quit believing lunatics like Adam Kokesh. They were voted on in Congress, properly.
You need to stop believing liars.

barry| 4.20.10 @ 7:13PM

Congress did declare war.

barry| 4.20.10 @ 7:19PM

Did NOT declare war.

Santasclaws| 4.19.10 @ 9:16PM

That was a really poorly made website and It just laid out conjecture. try better next time.

Here is yet another reason why the kooky one is Trey Grayson

KY-Sen. 2010: Trey Grayson gave keynote speech at Van Jones-sponsored climate change event

http://www.freerepublic.com/fo.....6440/posts

nicely done, maybe next he will be for amnesty for illegals and for abortion...

This guy is a Clinton Democrat... please go pound sand. Kentucky Does not want you.

Margie| 4.19.10 @ 10:09PM

Oh OK. Then give a try to this one. It's Michelle Malkin's website. You may try and knock her, but she is another Warrior for the Truth. Lotsa luck!

michael| 4.19.10 @ 11:51PM

Ah yes, Malkin... the girl who defends internment camps... (ooooookayyyyyyyy...???)

I find her a bit of a screaming meamie, and established outlets like this, http://bit.ly/dltwKX , much more credible.

Nobama| 4.20.10 @ 2:13AM

Established outlets like HuffPo, moron?

Santa| 4.20.10 @ 8:29AM

Michella Malkin is a nutcase who supported Japanese Internment...

Nobama| 4.20.10 @ 3:32PM

A lot of people supported internment; including liberals like you, moron.

Santa| 4.20.10 @ 7:19PM

I am not a liberal..... and those people who supported internment were a bunch of liberty hating fascists.

Nobama| 4.20.10 @ 10:25PM

Easy for you to say--you weren't there. You're like the asstard liberals who condemn our Founders for their actions 200 years ago.

Santa| 4.20.10 @ 10:58PM

How do you know I was not there? or that my grandparents were not, who had all the property stolen by the United states government after living in the united states for 30 years. idiot.

Nobama| 4.20.10 @ 11:04PM

You're 70+ years old? Liar. Next you're going to say you were one of the slaves owned by Thomas Jefferson.
Moron.

Santa| 4.20.10 @ 11:24PM

Said my grandparents.... the how do you know I was not there was to point out how assumptions can bite you in the ass.

Nobama| 4.21.10 @ 12:30AM

Shut up, dumbass; I was right and you know it.

santa| 4.21.10 @ 10:32AM

What are you right about. Internment being good for American, because that is highly debatable.

Nobama| 4.27.10 @ 8:18PM

EXACTLY! Debatable--that was my point.

Margie| 4.20.10 @ 5:55PM

Maybe some of these loonies would want to marry each other and buy your dresses.

Nobama| 4.20.10 @ 10:27PM

Doubt it, Margie--even these mouth-breathing losers wouldn't marry each other. The dresses are another matter!

PaulRon| 4.20.10 @ 10:59PM

See what i do not get is that we all dislike Obama and want to get him out of office, yet you attack a huge part of the GOP base and independents, how in the world do you hope to get rid of Obama?

Nobama| 4.20.10 @ 11:07PM

Not by nominating a fringer like Ron Paul--that's for damn sure. You Paultards are blind; you just can't see that he NEVER will be POTUS.

PaulRon| 4.20.10 @ 11:26PM

yeah he is too old, so I want someone who is younger and a lot like him. I think Liberty is good thing. I also think solving our domestic issues has to go hand in hand with foreign policy.

I don't think democrats like McCain, Graham, Rudy, Huckabee and Romeny are the solution.

So give us someone different....

Nobama| 4.21.10 @ 12:26AM

Where did I say that Paul's age was a negative?

I didn't--you did and I resent arrogant and snotty Paultards like you putting words in my mouth.

I don't like any of the names you've mentioned, including Ron Paul. Palin's a possibility--I know she needs work, so don't go crazy on me-- or perhaps someone else will emerge who will catch Conservatives' imagination. I'm keeping my eyes open.

PaulRon| 4.21.10 @ 10:33AM

I never said YOU said he was too old... I said it.

Nobama| 4.27.10 @ 8:19PM

Sorry, I misunderstood.

barry| 4.20.10 @ 11:27PM

So what if by some crazy chance Paul gets the nod for the GOP... will you vote for Obama?

Just humor us..... would you?

Nobama| 4.21.10 @ 12:28AM

Screw you, A-Hole; you know damn well I wouldn't vote for that godless traitor. I'd shoot myself first.

barry| 4.21.10 @ 10:34AM

Would you vote third party? or vote for Paul since you would never dare vote for Obama.

Nobama| 4.27.10 @ 8:21PM

Voting third party ensures a democrat win--I'd vote Paul. He's pro-life, and that's my REAL litmus test.

Last week I introduced a very important piece of legislation that I hope will gain as much or more support as my Audit the Fed bill. HR 4995, the End the Mandate Act will repeal provisions of the newly passed health insurance reform bill that give the government the power to force Americans to purchase government-approved health insurance.

This guy clearly hates america... just look at him and all his free market capitolism and not wanting the government to interfere in your lives... thats just a crazy idea., what a loser
