So, President Obama says tea partiers should be thanking him, not protesting him.

In other news, Obama boasts that one of his character traits is humility.

Nice juxtaposition.

Honor is not fitting for a fool.

CRAIG SATCHELL| 4.18.10 @ 8:50PM

On April 15 the president appeared at a staged event at the visitors complex of the Kennedy Space Center. A previously Picked audience of 30-40 spectators were spaced behind him on bleachers for the photo op. Employees of NASA ( who know the president's myopic "vision" to be a betrayal of America's interest ) were not invited. The Aries project passing its first test on 10/28 and successfully on its way with the Constellation project were with a presidential jest discarded to clapping hands of the carefully selected backdrop of obama-minions. These people are not the thousands of NASA employees opposed to Obama abandonment of our national quest for space. Empty Platitudes will not fool the American people again, nor cajole support in November. There will be a reckoning . The American People are beginning to understand . Sic Semper Tyrannis.

This brings to mind the one reason we do have to thank Obama. It's what our poster Tim said once, one of the greatest lines ever:
"Obama has created or saved millions of Republicans. Give credit where credit is due.."

200 days until the implosion of the democratic party....and the fitting of barak with webbed feet....

Ellis Wyatt| 4.16.10 @ 2:34PM

The democrats and Obama continue to give daily footage for campaign commercials. Arrogance is not befitting the office of the President of the United States. Obama continues to prove he is not ready to be president. So go ahead and laugh at the American people, let me tell you who always wins.

Mr Bass, we are very grateful indeed... Imagine the real damage that would have been done is short-order under a competent liberal president - say, a McCain or a Hillary?

S.L. Toddard| 4.16.10 @ 2:42PM

I don't see the "demand". Mr. Bass - did you post the wrong link?

Turd Analysis| 4.16.10 @ 7:59PM

The Turd has no sense of humor. The author gives the quote and has a little fun in the title. The Turd looks like a liberal troll at moments like these.

Turd Alert| 4.16.10 @ 8:36PM

So much concern for Mr. Bass quoting Obama exactly and none for what the Turd said about Sean Hannity. What a two faced phony.

Margie| 4.17.10 @ 3:04PM

Toddard is a Paulite. They despise real conservatives like us and Sean. Don't you know? To the Paulites, we aren't real conservatives. We're Neo-Cons. They're the only "true" conservatives!

As was said of someone else, 'He is a modest man with much to be modest about'.

Never miss a chance to extend your lie. Must be a written rule for these people.

Obama states he is “amused” at the political protests of the Tea Party's.
He also states the Tea Party protesters should be thanking Obama????

This is what happens when a politician lives inside a liberal bubble world.
Obama gives speeches only to hand picked crowds in hermetically sealed political rallies and only sees the any political opposition in meetings rigged for Obama personal dominance.

I have never seen a politician so delusional or so vain.
I am convinced Obama truly believes every bit of Liberal Dogma and Myths.
He simply refuses to see any evidence otherwise.
Certainly no one in the Obama Bubble World will tell Obama he was wrong.

The Obama administration can only end very badly.

Missy| 4.16.10 @ 5:42PM

We'll see if Obuma is still "amused" on November 2, 2010.

CAN'T WAIT--SAVE THE DATE!

Dayne| 4.16.10 @ 6:25PM

Regardless of party lines, I hope every American would be concerned about a leader who makes unflattering remarks about his countrymen. A leader is best served by humility, and a genuine understanding of the political friction between party lines. As a parent, even though they may have a favorite child, should not express that, so should a president of the most powerful country on the planet, not draw such obvious lines in the sand. If we say of him, "he's not MY president," we're being childish and narrow minded. If a president says, "They're not MY people," what does that make him?

Margie| 4.16.10 @ 8:50PM

Good points. And come to think of it, the man ought to be thanking the people for voting for him!

dye6 | 4.17.10 @ 2:49AM

It would help if you were at least marginally informed on the topic and not, in fact, full of shit.

JmsA| 4.17.10 @ 3:11PM

Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their minions will get their thanks come 11/02/2010.

"Thank you"?? No. I have two words for Barack, and though they also end in "-k you", the similarity ends there.
