Money, Money, Money

According to President Obama’s tax returns, he reported an adjusted gross income of $5.5 million in 2009, mostly due to book sales. Of that, he gave $329,100 to different charities. Such generosity!

President Bush, on the other hand, in 2007 reported an adjusted gross income of $923,807. He too, was a charitable man and gave $165,660 that year.

Still, the numbers appear meager compared to our current President, except Bush gave nearly 18% of his money away. Obama only gave 6%.

Ah, the perils of socialism: It’s so easy to give someone else’s money away; it’s much harder to give away your own.
