That is 214 billion more that the entire budget when Reagan took office, 30 short years ago.
Its the SPENDING that is the problem, NOT a lack of revenue.

Hang on a second. The Mocha Messiah himself said this is no big deal now that the Government is slated to take control of heathcare and perform its trademark squeezing out of vast inefficiencies. Deficits are obsolete now.

Well, I guess we are just going to have to pay more taxes! Maybe a VAT and a carbon tax and some fast food taxes. We can offset the costs by offering free health club memberships and health food for the poor. This will bring down the costs of health care and the federal budget over time. It will "bend the cost curve" in the right direction.

Of course it will be necessary to subsidize the poor's fuel efficient new cars so we can bend the cost curve of energy. But that will also require us to tighten our belts and subsidize wind and algae research to help reduce our dependency on foreign oil.

We can do this, people. Just ride your bike to work every other Tuesday and reuse the lint in your dryer to make diapers and clothes for the kids. There is also the health benefits of fasting. Not eating for days can help with your meditation which will lower your blood pressure, further lowering the health care costs by helping people stay out of the ER. Let's pull together! Yes we can! Yeas we can!

A Fox Dynamic poll showed that 82% percent of Americans believe the deficit to be a crisis. Maybe there's at least a partial awakening going on.
