For several months I have had this weird feeling that David
Duval, of all people, would win The Masters this year. I was
prepared to put that in writing in this space. But now I think he
will win the U.S. Open instead. But not The Masters. Why not?
Because Tiger Woods will win it by at least three shots, with all
major challengers folding like sheep and galoots, er, I mean like
cheap suits.
I do not want Tiger to win. I want him to lose. I want him never
to get any closer to Jack Nicklaus’ record for professional
majors. But I think he is ready to pounce. All that talk about
him being “rusty” is balderdash. Four and a half months off from
tournament golf is no big deal. Nicklaus used to take off nearly
three months every year and then come back and be competitive in
his first event back, and several times won his first event after
a long layoff.
I would much prefer that a nice guy like Steve Stricker or Justin
Leonard win The Masters. I wouldn’t mind seeing Ben Curtis have
another of his intermittent bouts of superlative play, and win.
But my crystal tarot ball cards say it will be Tiger, in a romp.

With all due respect, are you talking about a deck chair named Tiger on the Titanic. What does it really matter if that spoilt child wins anything anymore? He is an insult to humanity, manhood and family.
You know I say this many, many times - The Greatest Generation who died on Normandy Beach gave birth to the Spoilt Generation of
Baby Boomer Men who have alot of toys and waste alot of attention yelling and screaming over Superbowls and Golf Tournaments while the country their grandfathers built and their father's defended burns down around their ears. If the men of the country had descended onto Capital Hill with the Tea Partiers then maybe their 401Ks and House values would stand a rat's a** of a chance. So Quinn get your fiddle out and play a nice song while Rome burns. I wish we were all Spartacus as Michelle Malkin hopes for but this generation of men well .... We're All Nero.

It must suck being that negative and depressed. I choose to be joyful.

I think you're right Quin. And, like you, I would much prefer somebody else, but I think the Tiger will pounce.

I predict no one will photograph him using the ball washer...

Insightful on many levels. Thank you.

Tiger will have 90 bodyguards in tow to move rocks, knock down fences, find missing balls, kick out balls in the rough into the fairway, move cables and make unplayable lies playable. How can he lose?
