A Big F-ing Disconnect

A Big F-ing Disconnect
By Asher Embry

Dems had their East Room celebration
Where Joe expressed his jubilation.
But "We The People" watched in awe
Incredulous of what we saw.

Excuse us if we start to vent
While unemployment’s 10 percent
Our debt now reaching to the skies
(9 Trillion more it's set to rise)
This health bill adding trillions more
Despite Pelosi's phony score.

Our government has lost its way;
America's been changed today.

And to add to that, Krauthammer's take: "I think he is the man who, perhaps without intending, has given historical context to this presidency. After all, Obama sees himself as a successor to FDR and Truman, so now we have the historical procession: the New Deal, the Square Deal, and the "Big F**n Deal."

"America's been changed today."

Well, O.K. You needed the rhyme. You could have used the line, "Glenn Beck seems really gay," or, "The country is grateful to Tina Fey."

But art is art. You have to follow your -- nose.

But IS America really changed today.

In 1970, a higher percentage of American adults had health insurance than have it today.

The health care bill is, incrementally, over the next 10 years, going to bring everyone into the health care system.

You will have MORE choice in health insurance companies as the exchanges come "on line." There will be MORE insurers to choose from.

I'm not exactly sure what "liberty" means if you're going bankrupt because your kid has leukemia and your insurance company just dropped you.

I think you guys need to free up a little bit more of your BRAINS for critical thinking and stop accepting as Gospel every bogus effusion of the demented radio talk show hosts you follow.

What's wrong LR, aren't you just peachy happy with the New Deal II?

Yet you feel the need to behave thus. Interesting.
Well, we will see how you feel in a short while because the one you honor for his "sweet" deal you praise has entrapped you as well. We'll see what the future holds because it has to include you, when the economy collapses because there's no more faux money and we are bled dry.

Remember that old Dylan song- Like a Rolling Stone?
"Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn’t you?
People’d call, say, “Beware doll, you’re bound to fall”
You thought they were all kiddin’ you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hangin’ out
Now you don’t talk so loud
Now you don’t seem so proud
About having to be scrounging for your next meal."

Big f*ing deal? I thought that was the standard Democratic answer to the people's objections to their health care plan.

"I don't want Obamacare!"
"Big f*ing deal, you're getting it anyway whether you like it or not."
