Attorneys General Henry McMaster of South Carolina and Bill McCollum of Florida are preparing to file a lawsuit in federal court if Democrats pass health care legislation, the Associated Press reports.

McMaster said he expects more state AGs to join him. In January, McMaster spoke at an American Spectator Newsmaker event about his challenge to the "Cornhusker Kickback" along with 14 other state prosecutors. If the special deal for Nebraska gets removed, McMaster said he would still challenge the individual mandate. In January, he noted that the mandate would extend Congressional power to regulate interstate commerce to a case in which individuals are not purchasing something.

You forgot to include Virginia's AG Ken Cuccinelli. He is already preparing the lawsuit if Obamacare passes. Many more states will follow.

Arizona's governor, Jan Brewer, is also considering this.

If the end result of this bill is to cause the formation of free states while the rest wallow in perpetual federal servitude, I am all for it. Unfrotunately, they will never allow it to happen, because their utopian redistribution system is dependent on the productive people who would all relocate immediately.

Just nobody "fire on Fort Sumter".

Also, buy a lot on lake Livingston in east Texas. They are very cheap if not waterfront lots. Build a cabin and stock it.
Welcome to Texas, y'all.

There is no way the individual mandate is constitutional, as we understand the word 'constitutional'.

However, now that the we have a 'living' Constitution, who is to say what the actual words mean?

It all depends on what your definition of 'is', is.

Idaho, Utah, Virginia, as well as 37 other states are going to ban the obamacare. IT is unconstitional and obama can kiss my ass too, so can pelosi, cliton, reid and all the other traitors to office held. This is NOT about health care. It's about bankrupting the economy. Flooding the boarders with illegals making them citizens so they can have a vote to benefit them, rewarding lowlife, welfare grabbing, lazy people living off hard working Americans. If America becomes divided over this, then so be it. Draw the line and I will gladly go to my side along with the majority of Americans who can see where this so called president is taking us. Even if it turns into a civil war, WE the people will not be bullied by a domestic terrorist and usurper. Who can trust a president that disallows our flag to be waved high for all to see along with the rest of the world assisting Haiti? Guess our money is good but we have no pride in our country? Obama is one lousy president. Let history show it.

AMEN! TWICE!!! I can't even stand to look at him, can't stand the sound of his voice! His nose is so far up in the air when he speaks, he'll be able to invert his body and smell his own butt! Maybe he'll have an epiphany & see what he's really full of...

This is such a complicated issue. I'm not sure that anyone understands the full implications of the health care legislation. I just hope that it is beneficial. Thank you for an informative post.
