As many of you have read, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16, 2010,
tens of thousands of conservative and Tea Party activists will
be on the Hill as part of what they are dubbing a "Surge
Against Obamacare." . . .
Many of the conservative activists are not opposing the actual
provisions in the bill, but are instead reacting to a
caricature of the reform bill presented by right-wing media
outlets . . .
(Like the American Spectator?)
Also, don't assume common myths about this bill have been
debunked. Be prepared to explain that there are no death
panels, that Medicare is in fact strengthened, and that reform
is not a government take-over, but it is an attempt to crack
down on the abusive practices of health insurance companies by
providing oversight and increasing competition. . . .
Liberals, YOU LIE!! Rationing of care is "Death Panels." You
sicken me.

If 'truth' is made of facts - then all politicians that will vote
in favor of Obamacare would have committed treason and sooner or
later will have to answer for it. This bill is not constitutional
and the American people do care about the Constitution. If those
ignorant politicians are faced with the possibility of having to
answer for committing the unconscionable act of ignoring what
they pledged to protect, maybe they will think harder about
everything. None of them want to go down in history regarded as
ignorant and go for talking points everyone knows as lies.

Pay no attention to the shrew behind the botox face.
Does anyone in the House really believe her crap?
Margie| 3.15.10 @ 10:49PM
Funny (not) how Mrs. Pelosi, a/k/a Twisted Sister said exactly
the opposite of the truth, isn't it? Now where have we heard this
type of thing before? Liberal Reader, where are you?
…That’s just about the best defense of the Tea Party movement I’ve seen by any politician, and I certainly hope Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) gets re-elected. Meanwhile, Democrats have prepared their talking-points for tomorrow’s protests, and Allahpundit says: Show of hands — who’s going tomorrow? And among those of you who are, who’s still so ignorant about the basics of the bill after month upon…
Pete| 3.15.10 @ 11:18PM
They come out and say they want federal funds to pay for abortion
because fewer babies = lower cost for the healthcare system. But
they would never ration care...no, sir. Nice people.
JohnD| 3.15.10 @ 11:26PM
The bill does have Death panels; they are called "Comparative
Treatment Effectiveness Panels" or something like that. The panel
will decide if you are worthy of getting care based on age,
health, etc.
As for abortion, what happens to pregnant women who are told, "we
can't afford, or don't want to pay for the $3,000 for pre-natal
care, but we will give you the $1000 for an abortion, and like in
Medicare, if you go against our medical advice, you and your
child have opted out of treatment for life."

The "red carpet welcome" suggested by Rep. Van Hollen includes
"water, light snacks, extra staff" to give the feeling/illusion
that they are concerned and/or listening to you.
This will also be used to reinforce the mainstream media
perception that conservatives/tea partiers are "name-calling,
rumor mongering, ill-mannered, passionate dingbats" who do not
represent (the best of) America.
In the words of Theodore Roosevelt "speak softly but carry a big
stick". The stick that will prick the conscience or heart of each
representative is different, may God grant each of the
participants in the March 16 Operation Urgent Care wisdom to know
which stick to use and how to wield it to change their minds and
vote NO to Obamacare regardless of what the Democratic leaders
dangle as reward.
Healthcare Reform is the RIGHT thing to do, but
going into deep debt to make Obamacare a law is wrong!
Start over, Control Cost (not in paper as Obamacare does) through
open, bipartisan effort without entitlements, backroom deals with
Representatives or Senators, health industry players, other
special interest groups and hidden costs using parliamentary
maneuvers in the House and/or Senate.
America deserves and can do better!

as long as they believe their own bs they are incapable of
change, thereby guaranteeing that the public will still be up in
arms in november....
they really believe that the teaparty is some kind of front
organization. it is a tsunami and the libs will not clear the
beaches...lol at them
Cal Mark| 3.16.10 @ 1:48AM
It's obvious they don't get it. They're living in an alternative
universe.
Even if a whole lot of them get thrown out in November, we might
still be stuck with this monstrosity--and whatever else they
manage to ram through.
However, anything this hated and controversial will not be
suddenly loved overnight--nor especially will the aparatchiks who
forced it on us.
martin j smith| 3.16.10 @ 7:12AM
This story presents exactly why Republicans must change
fundamentally how they view the Democrat Party--as if they don't
already have even bigger and better ones--see Slaughter House
Rules for example. Any Republican now who maintains a RINO
position should be told to"get lost"--go with Arlen Spectre.
There is abolutely no room to be bi-partisan with any of the
current leaders in the Democrat Party. As for the response to the
Tea Party Protest. These democraters are really out of it and as
noted above do not get it. So again there is one way to go: Hold
your ground, smile at them and say:" have a nice day".
JP| 3.16.10 @ 7:30AM
The Democrats have finally gotten to thier Rubicon; we shall know
very shortly if they intend to cross it. The Slaughter Rule, if
implemented, will change the face of politics forever. If they
implement it, there is no turning back. This is where our
President has taken this nation. His (and his allies) insistence
on a federal takeover of health care will bring down thier party
for a generation, and create such political and civil chaos as to
shake thie republic to its core. And then the Laws of Unintended
Consequences kick-in.
We are a people who give our consent to be governed. But if a
sizable minority or majority believe that thier federal
government is illegitimate (as what is sure to happen if the
Slaughter Rule is used), we could very well face a constitutional
crisis we haven't seen since 1860-1861. States could very well
decide to ignore ObamaCare based on the simple fact that it was
never explicitly voted on. And the consequences of that bear not
even thinking about.
tailgunner| 3.16.10 @ 8:35AM
I disagree with those right-wing extremists who claim that
nationalized health care would result in rationing and denial of
care.
The Democrats will ensure that no pregnant woman is EVER denied
an abortion...and no 'undocumented' immigrant is denied ANY kind
of medical care.
(This will ensure that the flow of sick 'undocumented'
immigrants, many carrying communicable diseases, will probably
double.)
Oldefarte| 3.16.10 @ 1:12PM
I don't know whether Democrats are that stupid, or that they
THINK that the American public are that stupid; but they're going
to discover in November that the LATTER IS NOT TRUE!!!!

Take a cue from the playbook of Sen. Scott Brown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....r_embedded
and Rep. Paul Ryan and interact with them politely.
