The cornhuskers are currently petitioning the EPA for a waiver to increase ethanol blends in gasoline from 10 percent to 15 percent in an effor to artificially boost demand. Big Government has more.

doesn't that 100% increase the damage to the environment? How exactly can this be justified under EPA as ethanol increases many pollutants associated with internal combustion engines?

Don't see a problem here. I'm a big booster of ethanol myself. Since 1/20/'09 I've been boosting even more than I used to!

15% will damage many of the existing engines. Maybe the idea is to get the older cars off the road?
