Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice  endorsed Meg Whitman for Governor of California on Monday.

Rice has rarely weighed in on political matters since leaving the office of Secretary of State in January, 2009. She currently teaches American Foreign Policy as a professor of Political Science at Stanford University.

The endorsement might help with independent women voters -- but it is safe to say that there isn't a big enough center-right/conservative political science grad student voting block to make much of a dent in the Republican Primary.

It would help if we knew why Condi endorsed Whitman.
Whitman is a lib-mod republican.
After all, Meg had high praise for Van Jones, the self styled commie revolutionary that was vetted and then hired by the Obama White House.

Some people get the impression that Whitman was a founder of EBay. She is just another MBA who was hired by the founders who came up with the idea. While the EBay saw hugh success under her leadership, who's to say it wouldn't have otherwise. Everyone needs to stop refering to her as some genius behind EBay.
