Top Pentagon officials testified recently on the possiblity of revoking the current “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that applies to service members. In reponse, The Center for Military Readiness CMR) held a press conference recently aimed at “changing the terms of debate” and focusing more attention on the harmful effects that could follow from allowing gay service members to serve openly in the military.

CMR has produced a new two-page Policy Analysis entitled “The 1993 Law Regarding Gays in the Military Deserves Continued Support” that touches on several important questions policymakers should entertain before accomodating the changes President Obama favors.

Details and background on the press conference can be found here.

Are you trying to change the military into Hollywood ? These people are troubled people, they don't need to be encouraged. Would anybody encourage a drug addict ? I don't think so.

I'm hardline libertarian, about as tolerant as they come. Also a Navy Vet. Letting gays openly serve i the military will be disastrous; not too mention highly discriminatory against straight males - berthing compartments, shower facilities, ect...

If a gay male gets to oogle and gawk at straight men in the showers, shouldn't straight men have the same rights to oogle and gawk at women in shower facilities?

It IS highly discriminatory and unfair, but no, you don't get to ogle women in the shower. Unless she's your wife, of course. Sorry.

Homosexuality is a dishonorable lifestyle. It poisons everything it comes in contact with. If you want to destroy the military, allow homosexuals to sicken it from within.

Sounds like our society--we're sick and getting sicker.
