Rep. Bart Stupak just released the following statement on President Obama's health care proposal:

I was pleased to see that President Obama’s health care proposal did not include several of the sweetheart deals provided to select states in the Senate bill.  Unfortunately, the President's proposal encompasses the Senate language allowing public funding of abortion. The Senate language is a significant departure from current law and is unacceptable.  While the President has laid out a health care proposal that brings us closer to resolving our differences, there is still work to be done before Congress can pass comprehensive health care reform.‬

I wonder how the Democrats expect to pass an abortion compromise since it can't happen in reconciliation? Attach it to some other must-pass bill?

It doesn't seem very moderate, or dare I say, bi-partisan for the President to include the abortion ammendments. And I'm confused... if he includes ALL states in the special backroom deals (LA, NE, union, etc) how is it anything but laughable that the price tag doesn't go up?

Dear Mr. President, we are not ALL mathematically challenged idiots willing to sell out our principles, and our memories are much longer than you and your Congress give us credit for. I often wonder what your presidency would be like if the MSM wasn't on your side, considering how bumbling it all looks with the soft touch they afford.

With John "Bribery" Murtha dead, and more Dems in the House starting to sweat bullets as November gets closer, I don't think that Botox Nancy has the 218 votes in the House to pass this monstrosity.

Why I'm I not surprise that Obama is just playing politics! Stupid I mean Stupak will give in and the abortion language will change to apease his left wing nuts. Obama us all about getting re-elected. All his political life has been about jumping from jib to job. He has never done anything that can be majored of any accomplishement. And yet here we have a man that is hailed as a very brilliant man. I guess you say it enough times the ignorant will fall for it and regergitate it over and over. America must wake up and see this man for what he really is. A community organizer. And in fact he can't even do that right. God help us!

He has organized the community -- it just happens to be against him.

The one bright spot in all this is the Democrats are very stupid. They will crack the whip and pass this mess, then lose the House Majority and maybe the Senate. But if they had done Tort Reform and some conservative things and cut taxes. They would have kept control for ever. But they have waited too long for this, so they just went for the whole ball of Wax. heres hoping they will be out of the Majorty for another 40 years.
