It's unclear at the moment what exactly the pilot was trying to
accomplish but his target will no doubt inspire the left to pile
on the right. I'm guessing that long before the facts are known
accusations will fly against the tea party movement, Sarah Palin,
George W. Bush and who knows who or what else for creating a
climate of anti-government "hate."
Brace yourself for a vomit-inducing onslaught of
indignation and self-righteousness from the usual crew of
leftist reprobates like Max Blumenthal, Jon Conason, Adam Serwer,
Dave Neiwert, Markos Moulitsas, Keith Olbermann, and Rachel
Maddow.
No doubt despondent over the current administration not moving
quickly enough to enact its progressive "reforms," just like in
MA.

When it is a political maneuver to make the IRS the heavyweight
enforcer of despised policies, why is it a surprise that a
nut-case would take a shot at the IRS.

I read his little rant and the only politician he lashes out
against is George W. Bush in a very typical leftist fashion. The
msm will have a hard time pegging this guy to the right. His
whole rant sounded like one of Olberman's special comments where
he spits all over himself.

Looks like your colleague, Jeffrey Lord, beat the lefties to the
punch. You conservatives have got to stop foreshadowing your next
propaganda moves.

Yeah, but Lord was telling the truth! Sorry.

Already happened- see the Capehart piece at the Washpo.

Oh, yeah.
It's clear Stack was a left-winger.
But he did give money to Ron Paul, which is odd.

This will, however, certainly put a crimp in the willingness of
mainstream pols to cozy up to anti-tax nutters and may even
prompt them to ease up on their own anti-government
rhetoric....
Or maybe not. Either way, gotta be a lose-lose situation for the
TP...
Mike| 2.19.10 @ 3:10AM
How do you figure? The guy was a left wing nut, he had nothing to
do with the TP. It's a lose lose for liberals, you mean.
ares-san| 2.19.10 @ 1:48PM
Like a lot of nuts he probably had a mixed bag of political
views. He flies a plane into the IRS, the symbol of
big-government, but then leaves a marxist-laden suicide note.
This is a terrorist act, however, and he was not a Muslim, i.e
not all terrorists are muslims, a common claim among the r-w
pundits.

I just read the IRS Kamikazie's (Joe Stack) farwell note at the smoking gun http://www.thesmokinggun.com/a.....ack1.html.

He does not sound like a right winger to me.

They already are. Check out @mrveil on Twitter. (And of course I corrected him.)

Nevermind - just ignore this twerp.

Come on, Mr. Vadum. I'm disappointed in you. There must be some way to tie ACORN into this.
Matthew Vadum| 2.18.10 @ 3:00PM
For once, you're funny! Well done.

Thank you for the informative post. These times are very complicated with a mixed bag of loose nuts.
