American Enviro-media Still MIA

Stories (thanks to Climate Depot), since the Climategate story broke in November, that discredit "consensus" global warming science and the UN IPCC -- mostly from British media.

A sampling of stories (thanks to Climate Depot), since the Climategate story broke in November, that discredit "consensus" global warming science and the UN IPCC -- many from British media:

Greenpeace cited as 'sole source' for 'coral reef degradation' claims

UN climate change panel based claims on student dissertation and magazine article

'Researchers are still grappling to understand the balance of feedback loops'

UN IPCC's Global Warming Report Under Fresh Attack for Rainforest Claims

Analysis: NASA GISS Rural US Sites Show No Temperature Increase Since 1900

BBC: Temperature and CO2 feedback loop 'weaker than thought'

UN's Amazongate': 'Made false predictions' on Amazon rainforest, referenced non-peer-reviewed paper produced by WWF

Study: 'Carbon dioxide appears to play a very limited role in setting interglacial temperature'

IPCC cited multiple Master's Students in AR4, some unpublished

Chinese Scientist Qian Weihong of Beijing University: 'Expects global temperatures will decrease continuously until 2030'

And that just scratches the surface, as they say. But what do the intrepid Society of Environmentalist Journalist template-followers at USA Today report about today? Butterflies, in another one of those "scientists say" articles:

A study of beleaguered butterflies in California provides some of the best clues yet as to how other animals may react to climate change, scientists say.

The unprecedented, 35-year analysis of butterfly populations in the Sierra Nevada details how several species are fleeing to higher elevations to escape warming temperatures.

Formerly mainstream American enviro-media sure know how to sniff out a scandal, don't they?

Remember, much of this scientific data and analytical manipulation is being done by grant whores trolling for research dollars. They'll bend, fold, spindle, or mutilate the data to make the source of the grant happy and keep the money flowing, please. The "consensus" is nothing but a tailored version of "political science." And these guys wonder why their efforts are thought to be fraudulent and are ridiculed?

The MSM is an egotistical organization with childlike emotional tendencies. They are afraid they would look foolish if they give credence to any evidence that the THEORY of AGW is wrong since for years they have swallowed the Al Gore story hook, line and sinker. Their fragile egos cannot deal with realizing they might have been tricked.

Or...maybe they latched onto the GW theories right from the start because drama sells. Ratings over facts. Whoever has the scariest story gets the viewers. World Will End! Story at eleven. They probably didn't figure the THEORY of GW would take off quite the way it did and now they don't know how to get off the train of lies. Like the child who tells a small lie to get something they want, then gets stuck telling lie after lie to cover up the first one.

I stopped my intake of major "news" outlets in the 90's when they stopped reporting facts and actual news instead of PC filtered drivel. God bless the internet and sites such as this one.

Scientists say...are these the same people known as anonymous sources in daily reporting? If these "scientists" say something of import don't the intrepid reporters think it is valuable to let us know who they are, when they said it and why? Maybe letting us know how they get their funding. Is it possible they moved for a reason other than warmer climes? Science used to seem like an honorable practice but with all the grubbing for funding it seems to have lost its lustre for me. Its a shame.

Apparently butterflies are demonstrating a predetermined capacity to adapt to change; they move.
Such a revelation they can do that?

If you consider that the only clear beneficiary from Cap and Trade is Wall Street and that many main stream media outlets are deeply in debt and losing money, perhaps the folks supplying the financial lifelines to the media are insisting that the alarmism is the only acceptable story to tell.

anyone who believes that sending cash to Markey/Gore/Goldman Sachs/Pachauri Inc. will stop and or improve"climate change"/agw should do so, leave the taxpayers/producers alone and just go away
