ABC News is reporting that the White House is preparing for two possible Supreme Court vacancies this spring. justices John Paul Stevens and Ruth Bader Ginsburg are both rumored to be considering retirement. Both are from the liberal end of the bench.

Okay, time to fill out the All-American platoon. We already have black and white, male and female, catholic, protestant (although I can't name the protestant off-hand) and jewish, and hispanic of course. Who is missing in the view of our identity politics administration?

Replacing two leftards with others of identical stripe is bad enough. Replacing them with the likes of a Cass Sunstein and Gloria Allred would surpass disaster and enter us into the berserkosphere. One cringes at the thought of a heart attack or other unforeseen ailment felling a sitting conservative justice. With a liberal majority, Obama could strip the mention of God now extant on the Supreme Court building itself, and throughout the U.S. Government.
