You know it’s time for another snowstorm in Washington D.C. when
the president talks about the “overwhelming scientific” evidence
in favor of man-made global warming theories. These remarks come
at a home when “climategate” continues to gain momentum and the
crediblity of United Nation’s reports going all the way back to
1998 are now called into question.
“We are witnessing the Berlin Wall moment in the global warming
regime,” Climate Depot’s Marc Morano
said today. “The statist cabal that has ruled the climate
debate since the UN IPCC’s inception in 1988 is now tumbling down
before our eyes. The so-called ‘gold-standard’ of scientific
review turns out to be counterfeit.”
But even if you are not moved by the science, it makes sense
economically to move forward with so called “clean energy”
initiatives Obama declared tonight in his State of the Union
Address. By this he means green jobs.
Obama has cited Spain as model for the clean energy economy of
the future. But here again, facts and economic realities
intrude. Gabriel Calzada, an economics professor at Universidad
Rey Juan Carlos in Spain, has produced a new
study that shows green jobs are mostly temporary, heavily
subsidized and subtract away from economic performance.
Democrats who are running for re-election in the nation’s most
industralized states should not be permitted to avoid
discussing the scientific and economic objections that have
been raised against Obama’s regulatory proposals.

Proving once again that no lie is too big for this pile of feces.

Agreed. "Green jobs" are almost always a creation of government, not a product of the market. Ultimately, its taxpayers, like me, that pay for these jobs.

Just what the heck is a "green job" anyway? I guess Green Jobs are, like:
Garbage sorter at the local land fill
Trash stabber and bagger in the local park - roads are still reserved for convicts and sponsored volunteer groups... sorry no job there.
Mulch raker in the local compost yard perhaps?
Maybe all the farmers in Upstate New York can be taxed to pay guys to shovel the manure out of their barns and cart it away to some poo to gas taxpayer funded experiment?
Maybe they could be more genteel?
The switch verifier to monitor when the "tax payer subsidized to the tune of $90 billion" wind farm needs to have the fans turned off because the wind speed has exceeded the specifications.
I am sure that there is going to be some official form that has to be filled out in order to turn on the Natural Gas backup system and feather the turbine blades. Of course when there is no wind, the paper work will be similar with different forms that have to be submitted to a to the Turn the Gas On Because there is NO Wind Authorization Group.
It's a difficult job because if the wrong forms are filed to the wrong Authorization Group the power would go out and that would mean more paper work, with more trouble tickets to fill out.
That sort of "green job"?
Oh? I thought as much.
A world without sanity... a nation that has lost its collective mind... a world gone mad... Humans must be in charge.
