[W]e were warned two weeks ago to discontinue our support for
Republican candidate Scott Brown or suffer consequences for
backing him, at the expense of Martha Coakley. We were
told, point blank, by Democrats in Chicago that people on the
Left had "had enough with (us), and were going to come after
(us), in a big way" if we didn't stop rallying the troops for
Scott Brown's win over Coakley. We were given the
ultimatum: either drop our support for Brown and the Left
would leave us alone, or continue speaking out . .
. and "just see what happens"
That's
from Hillbuzz, a blog begun by anonymous Democratic
supporters of Hillary Clinton during the 2008 campaign. They
have refused to jump on the Obama bandwagon and as a result are
being "outed" in such a way as to jeopardize their day jobs.
Yup. The Communists always turn on each other. This just proves
it again.
But hey! Anyone can turn. May they come to their right minds, and
leave their Party. Plenty of room in the Big Tent!
Hey Reaganite -- thanks for standing strong. I checked out your
site...love the cartoons and the general feel.
I keep remembering the adage: "Information wants to be free." It
really does. The left loves propaganda, loves to muddy the
waters, loves to say one thing and do another. They are
especially harsh to those who used to be on their side (case in
point the Hillbuzz guys) -- they especially hate David Horowitz.
It's like Hotel California -- You can check out, but you can
never leave! Scary folks...if they'll do this to one of their
own...hmm.

"Remember When the Left Told Us 'Dissent Is the Highest Form of
Patriotism'?"
I remember that. Why - have you changed your mind that they were
wrong about that?

I thought their slogan was wrong then, and I think it wrong now.
Still, as the man said, "'Tis sport to see the engineer hoist
with his own petard."
Of course, dissent is neutral in and of itself: there are things
that only a fool or monster would dissent from, other things that
only a fool or monster could FAIL to dissent from, and the
majority of cases in which dissent may be wise or stupid,
laudable or wicked, to varying degrees. But in and of itself, it
makes the dissenter no greater a patriot than the next man.
As the redoubtable Jonah Goldberg put it: "Dissent isn't
necessarily heroic. For every Mandela, Gandhi, or Thoreau there
are a thousand—no, TEN thousand—drooling morons, jabbering
misfits, and opponents of progress with equal claim to the title
'dissenter,' 'dissident,' 'protester,' 'rebel,' or
'non-conformist.' When a group or society is heading in the right
direction, the maverick is no hero for telling everyone to turn
around. Even Irish whiskey, taken to an extreme, can be a
problem."

the liberal utopia of San Francisco called Americans who
disagreed with her Nazis.

I doubt anyone on the right ever considered dissent patriotic.
It's your God-given right, as expressed in the 1st amendment, to
dissent in a law abiding manner. But the idea that dissent is a
form of patriotism is the kind of "logic" that can only emanate
from the adolescent mind of a liberal.
Having said that, it's not so much that we've changed our minds
on the subject. We're just curious as to how liberals can pivot
so hard without throwing out their collective backs. We also take
delight in pointing out the hypocrisy. As we all know, hypocrisy
is one of the greatest sins anyone can commit (according to
liberals).

Typical Stormtrooper mentality!
The left, aka. Democrats, have hid this type of thinking over the
years. They have been trying to take over the USA in a left style
Socialistic Tyranny Dictatorship for over 50 years. They have
always been radical; remember Adlai Stevenson... the Dems have
had a telling stain on our country. For example: Political
Correctness. Slowly but surly our country has become more
socialist. For example: a central bank (no I am not a Ron Paul
supporter) and income taxes. Both of those are communist in
origin.
The Republicans have shown over the years that they have the
capacity to overspend as do all Dems.
The T.E.A party has come about because of the arrogance of both
parties. This is the rise of conservatism in its raw form.
The chance of Real Change is there in 2010 and 2012 when we can
take our country back.

It's all definitional.
When a Democrat talks about "bipartisanship", she means that
people from both sides of the political spectrum will have an
opportunity to learn about, and publicly buy into and support,
her proposed legislation. "Bipartisanship" does not entail the
majority ceding anything; it merely describes the situation when
minority party members are invited into the voting room and given
a chance to agree with the majority party. Refusing an invitation
to help vote for the dominant party's legislation is now
considered to be simply churlish.
Similarly, "dissent" is real and authentic and valuable only when
it involves a progressive effort to correct nonprogressive
thought. When a nonprogressive attempts to debate the correctness
of progressive policy decisions, there is no true "dissent"; the
nobility inherent in that label makes its use inapposite for the
urging of incorrect thought.

Just a moment folks, isn't the Chicago Democratic machine part of
the crowd that fixed the 1960 presidential election, along with
LBJ's cronies in Texas. These guys are gangsters and quite
possibly as they operate in the political arena, give gangsters a
bad name.
Dissent for some reason is held to be owned by the left when it
should be a tool for everyone committed to democracy.

This RAAACIST garbage is always a favorite hook. And it is the chief weapon of the Left against just about everyone.
Reaganite Republican| 1.25.10 @ 4:43AM
In my conservative blog's comments section, I have had any number of similar threats... when I track them down it's usually DC area or Chicago.
And always with the "you'll see" threats, same scripted bit re. racism, sore losers, "Reagan's dead and so are his ideas", etc.
Bring it on, Obot trolls- you little worms
