Once again, Quin Hillyer is defending the Constitution and the Rule of Law. This is the same writer, mind you, who supported immunization for telecoms who broke the law by helping the Bush administration spy illegally on law-abiding American citizens. Where, I wonder, was this respect for the Constitution back then, Quin? Does Mr. Hillyer's reverence for the Rule of Law - that bedrock of American liberty - extend beyond partisan boundaries - say, to Bush officials who ordered domestic spying in violation of the 4th Amendment and FISA? Does it compel him to support investigations of torture allegations as *compelled* by Article 6 of the Constitution and the Convention Against Torture?

A fair-weather friend to the Constitution is no friend at all. Obama has violated and continues to violate our constitution and should be held accountable - and so should those who did so before him.

Careful SLT, your libertarian streak is showing. The rule of law does not imply the absence of law. Interpretation of statutes (not Constitution) is an ongoing function of Courts. Constitution on the other hand is probably best read in clear language through the lens of original intent. Read through the ratification convention debates and the ratification bills. All very interesting as it gives a clear picture into what the states (in convention assembled) understood they were doing.

We can all only HOPE and pray that, between the Massachusetts senatorial election of Scott Brown, the unconstitutional elements of Obamacare, and the numerous polls indicating that Americans DO NOT want to pay for this WELFARE program, that Barry, Axelrod, Emmanuel, Pilosi, Reid, Frank, Schumer, etc would have the combined intellect to 'GET IT'!!!!
