Happiness They Cannot Feel

Climate Progress's Joe Romm says the massive weekend snowstorm in the East was exactly what alarmist climate scientists said would happen.

Climate Progress's Joe Romm says the massive weekend snowstorm in the East was exactly what alarmist climate scientists said would happen:

In any case, I have previously discussed the scientific literature, which makes clear that we have seen an increase in intense precipitation in this country, just as climate science predicted we would.

But as the Washington Examiner's David Freddoso reminds us, a year ago Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., wrote about the global warming-caused lack of precipitation in the D.C. area:

Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today's anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don't own a sled...

Meanwhile, Exxon Mobil and its carbon cronies continue to pour money into think tanks whose purpose is to deceive the American public into believing that global warming is a fantasy.

Didn't Ozzy have something to say about these unhappy people?

There is no way to attribute last week's storm to AGW. It was a cold core cylcone which orginated off the coast of Alaska (a strong positive Artic Oscillation kicked things off). As a matter of fact, if AGW was true, we would be seeing less of these storms as the polar source regions warm and not cool.

The worst storm for the East Coast occured in late Jan 1888 (just a few weeks after the horrible Children's Blizzard). The entire Mid Atlantic states were buried under 15-20 foot snow drifts

The strongest cyclone to hit the UK occured in the 17th Century, and resulted portions of upper Scottland be buried under 60 foot of sand.

Some of the most spectacular rain fall events for Europe occured in the 14th and 15th centuries, which caused widespread famine and starvation. In Normandy, during the summer of 1318 it rained every day but 3.

Ditto for China. The 14th through the 17th centuries saw both record droughts and rainfalls.

And none can be attributed to AGW.

We are talking about politics not science. At this time, with the release of hacked e-mails showing the devious nature of the so called global warming matter and their perpetrators. I think its best to continue going over and over and over the documentation showing the man made global climate change is a fraud.
As to crony capitalism corperations, this is a sign of the times --showing the fascist nature of our ruling regime.

Come now, JP. Liberal elites simply know more than you do and if they say that every fluctuation in the weather is due to man-made global warming, then gosh darn it you had better believe it. In fact, soon, if you express disbelief, you will be subject to a punitive tax and/or prison sentence. That is where we are headed.

I may have to take a break from this site until after Christmas. It really does nothing for my spirits to read about what these criminals in office are up to on a daily basis.

The best example of this sort of thinking is years old now. I don't remember exactly when, but a group of "scientists" proposed an experiment to "prove" Global Warming. They spent years measuring glacier levels in Greenland. They went in with the premise that Global Warming was melting the glaciers in Greenland and that the GPS devices they were planting in the ice pack would show that the ice pack was melting, thus "proving" Global Warming.

After measuring the pack for something like four years, they discovered that the ice pack had THICKENED perceptably. Undaunted by this seeming setback, they published their conclusion: "Global Warming causes more snow in Greenland."

You can't make this stuff up.

Printing this type of nonsense is getting tiresome. These articles just prey on people's unwillingness to learn. We owe it to ourselves to look into what's simply plausible and not easily accept the AGW propaganda as fact. The ones who truly read and investigate for themselves know how to decipher between the absolute insane AGW ideas and what's really reasonable.

We are starting down a path of truly affecting weather by possibly introducing real pollutants (sulfuric acid) over the Poles to reduce warming. Adding turbines to the ocean to create upwelling in the hopes of decreasing hurricane intensity. The list goes on. This is the truly scary stuff. Someone needs to put a stop to this kind of thinking.

We now know that the Sahara desert was once a vast oasis, full of water and plant life. It only took about 200 years to turn it to a wasteland. This happened just 20,000 years ago. There are aquifers the size of the Great Lakes under the desert there. Can you blame global warming for that?

Weather is chaotic, it can't be explained as yes or no or on and off. This is precisely why the National Weather Service had no snow predicted just a few days before the storm last weekend for DC. Even the last day or two there was lots of uncertainty as to the extent of the snowfall. Would Philadelphia get any at all? The notion that "Climate Science" predicted anything of this sort is utterly preposterous. That's like saying there will be violent thunderstorms in July within the next 5 years in Kansas. Ludicrous. Tell Europe about GW while transportation has been crippled there recently due to extreme cold.

I'm always sad or indifferent but RARELY happy no matter what happens. I'm a good looking guy who can exchange stares with chicks, and I have a job that I hate with quite good pay and I'm married to a wonderful person and we love each others so much and I have some good friends, but still I'm rarely happy.
