Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid continues to lag behind all
potential Republican challengers in next year's U.S. Senate
race in Nevada, according to new Rasmussen Reports telephone
polling in the state.
For now at least, his championing of the president's health
care plan appears to raise further red flags for the Democratic
incumbent. Fifty-four percent (54%) of Nevada voters oppose the
plan, while 44% favor it.
More significantly, however, those numbers include 49% who
strongly oppose the plan while only 23% strongly favor it.
It increasingly looks like "success" in ramming through the
federal health care takeover could cost Harry his job!
I have no doubt that he has already been promissed a high level
position by our self-impressed ruler, president Obama. The deal
is this - get healthcare passed and if you lose (and you probably
will) I'll make you part of my administration. Re-read this
article in a year and you'll see I was right.

Michael G is right. Just look at Tom "King of the
Obstructionists" Daschele. He's fallen on his own sworn so many
times it's pathetic....But - like a bad penny - he keeps coming
back . And my guess is that his pay scale is the same as it would
have been, had he been confirmed. Now if we could just get him to
pay his taxes......
Reid would consider his Senate seat a small price to pay in his
worship of the fraud in the White House. They have a deal all
worked out; not to worry.

Michael, Dell and the others are probably and sadly right. It's
evident that Harry Reid is not the only politician being offered
a post elective cushy job. These politicians are willfully
ignoring their constituents.
There could be another explanation. A behind the scenes offers of
cement overshoes, maybe? I wouldn't put it past the BO
administration.

Does anyone think he cares if he doesn't get the votes? I am
pretty sure they have all been promised cushy CEO or consulting
jobs if they do get ousted.
Seems to be the MO. Buy em off

Everyone here dosen't know Harry - it's not about the money, it's
about the notoriety and the power. Harry is one of the 5 most
important people in the world and there's no way an anonymous
consulting gig is going to take the place of being Senate
Majority Leader.
He'll do the exact same thing he did a couple of elections ago -
he'll steal it. He won in 1998 by 428 votes over John Ensign (who
won the other seat later) after a couple thousand mysteriously
showed up late from some Indian Reservation. It'll be the same
thing this time - they'll steal enough votes to win.

Reid's not the only one on his way out. Specter, Dodd and quite a few others are facing extinction.
Speaking of old dinosaurs, Ted Kennedy has ;left us--perhaps the most dangerous man of the Republic.
He will NOT be missed!
