Jenny Sanford has filed for divorce from her adulterous husband, which inspired some utterly irresponsible speculation:
Forgive me for exposing myself to the accusation of "inciting violence," but if Jenny would have shot that two-timing lowdown polecat the minute she found out he'd hiked the Appalachian Trail all the way to Argentina, she'd be more popular among conservative women than Sarah Palin.
Note the "if" in that sentence, denoting a hypothetical speculation. Utterly irresponsible, but who will dare disagree?

Personally I find the MSM Press coverage of the entire Gov Sanford affair beyond surreal.
After Jessie Jackson showed up at the White House with his pregnant mistress to “counsel” Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky affair the Left and MSM Press lost any credibility in such matters. At the time the Left and MSM did not blink an eye at the lunacy of Jessie Jackson providing religious cover for Bill Clinton.
I feel the Left and the MSM owes the conservatives a pass on all affairs after the Lewinsky affair.

Being from Virginia, the image of Sanford hiking the Appalachian Trail all the way to Argentina is delicious. If she'd been an old Mountain woman, she'd have definitely shot him, at minimum, with rock salt in his posterior. How about a rusty razor?

I'm reminded of [Texas Representative] Dick Armey's proclamation [concerning Bill Clinton's Monikagate] that IF THAT WAS ME, I'D BE LYING ON THE FLOOR IN A POOL OF BLOOD AND MY WIFE WOULD BE STANDING OVER ME SAYING 'HOW IN THE HELL DO I RELOAD THIS THING?' !!!!!!!!!!!!
