Despite the grand triumph of the Democratic leadership in ramming
a government health care takeover through the House, things are
not going well for the Dems. Indeed, one suspects that the
ideological crusade to socialize American medicine at any cost is
one of the chief factors driving down support for the governing
party.
According to Rasmussen Reports:
Republican candidates have extended their lead over Democrats
to seven points, their biggest lead since early September, in
the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows
that 44% would vote for their district's Republican
congressional candidate while 37% would opt for his or her
Democratic opponent.
Democratic Senators might want to think carefully before
they move similar legislation.
