McConnell cited
this David Broder column from the Washington Post on
Obamacare, headlined, "A budget buster in the making."
Reid responded with the familiar criticism that McConnell has no
business talking about fiscal responsibility when McConnell
supported President Bush's reckless spending on Iraq. Then Reid
scoffed at Broder, who he dismissed as "a man who has been
retired for many years, and writes a column once and awhile."
How suprising is it that any Democrat thinks any spending is
reckless. I can't believe he said it with a straight face.
