If Doug Hoffman goes down, the only race we will hear anything about in certain quarters will be how NY-23 shows the Republican Party is fatally divided by a schism between moderates and conservatives (especially since the remaining votes for Dede Scozzafava may make up the difference).
Speaking of predictions, this one of mine concerning the New Jersey governor's race seems to have held up pretty well.

If Hoffman goes down you can guarantee it's because of voter fraud. Hoffman was on the radio and was asked if he'd contest the vote. He said he was watching closely and had over 300 lawyers on the ground in polling places.
As for the Republican Party, they are saying that already, that the Party is dead, it's a joke, it's divided. and on and on. the truth is that the Republican Party just needs some restoration. This is just the beginning. It's the Party of Ronald Reagan and best represents the values of our Founders and we aren't gonna let it die.
Try as you may Third Partiers, we aren't going anywhere!
P.. Thanks Obama, you done good.

Voter fraud allegations against parties who hold their state's Secretary of State post don't work.
I don't care if Hoffman has 3,000 lawyers out at the polling locations, there is simply no way that he can win a near-tie.

I was thinking the same thing. Well, Fox will focus on the governors' races and the rest will focus on the NY 23rd. And, big surprise, they'll fail to comprehend what happened, i.e., the local Republican bosses made a bad pick with Scozzafava and it came back to haunt them. That's it.

If the media focuses on NY-23, it only shows how desperate they are to present the wrong story. Who in the hell even heard of NY-23 before the Republicans selected Scozzwhat's her name? New Jersey going GOP is a big story. NY-23 is a funny little side story, but New Jersey and Virginia matter big time.
Gina| 11.3.09 @ 11:58PM
Who cares? Scuzzyfava was a liberal anyway, she WASN'T a republican.
Next time nominate a conservative and we won't have a problem!
Margie| 11.8.09 @ 1:52PM
Duh, Gina.
We? WE should nominate?
There was no Primary.
I hope you are at least interested in reality before you go accusing people of things that are impossible.

Actually, it looks like even MSNBC understands a huge victory for the GOP. Christie is the big story here people. Obama went to New Jersey to help win that race, and lost big time. Nice win for the fat boy, and the GOP!
Scott | 11.4.09 @ 12:12AM
I was amazed to see that MSNBC was the first channel to call NJ for Christie.

Mr. Antle,
New York 23rd:
Hoffman 46,746;
Owens 50,712;
Newt 00,000
I want to know how an uber-liberal RINO turn-coat got nominated... and how to prevent such going forward.
Margie| 11.4.09 @ 10:44AM
This was a special election. The Party bosses chose Scuzzo. There was no Primary. That's how it happened. Coming up in March I believe, is another election where we the people will have that chance. Hoffman will win.

It's about time we started to stand up to RNC Party Bosses and hold them accountable--it's the only way we're ever going to save our country.
Weak weenie Repubs need not apply. Crist is next.
