The news side of the Washington Times already did a great story
on this, and folks like Hans von Spakovsky, Abigail Thernstrom
and others have done good commentary on it as well (I'm too short
of time to find and provide all the links, for which I apologize,
but I'll try to come back later and edit them in), but today we
at the Wash Times editorial page
explain in no uncertain terms just how morally and legally
bankrupt is the Justice Department's decision last month to block
a small North Carolina town from holding nonpartisan local
elections. The Justice Department itself doesn't use the words we
use, of course, but the absolutely clear implication of their
decision and arguments is that black voters can't be trusted to
know their own minds. Among other things, we say, perhaps
somewhat puckishly, that DoJ's attitude is "antebellum." Do click
through to the link. DoJ's position is stunningly outrageous.
...40 years ago...my wife and I were old enough for our first
vote for president et al.
...We studied and studied the newpaper reports on ALL the
candidates... and took notes.
We went to vote.
Our notes were confiscated at the door of the polling hall.
(school lunchroom).
Just about the time we sat down to vote on our paper ballots...an
entire school-bus load of black folks were escourted into the
hall.
An election judge walked up and down the tables and shwed them
how to vote "the straight Democratic Ticket" by checking one
simple box.
ARGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!
THE POE BLACK FOLKS ARE STILL DOIN' THE SAME DARNED THING, God
bless them.

I lived in a large southern city for 40 years and was a political
junkie and kept up with all politics. For many, many years the
newspaper printed blank sample ballots and each candidate had his
own printed ballot with his name checked. The African American
churches in the area always had a service the Sunday before
elections devoted to bringing and marking ballots. I was told by
many people who attended these churches that this was a common
practice all over the state. I moved to NC many years ago and was
surprised to learn that most small towns in the state have non
partisan elections. If the DOJ was interested in what living in a
samll town means they would know that the residents (for the most
part) know everyone in town. You don't have to tell anybody what
color anyone is or what party anyone belongs to. I would bet that
most towns in NC hold non partisan elections. We can expect an
influx of DOJ employees to descend upon us.

Marxists don't care about people; female, minority or gay--they
only care about power and control.
Marxists are loathsome creatures.

These people have been throwing their own under the bus, starting
with the Rev. Wright right through Obamas Grandmother and a
myriad of friends, relatives and political associates. Obama is
true to nothing but OBAMA! I hope the koolaid drinkers discover
that before the country gets more poisoned than it is.

This is nothing different than what the democrats have been
saying and doing to the Black community for years. Yet, they
still vote democrat. Go figure.....
Mr. Holder, let's take this a step further. For each election all
black voters automatically cast ballots for democrats. In fact,
black citizens will not even be required to fill out and turn in
confusing ballots. Now, if a black person is stupid enough to
vote against a democrat and therfore against his or her best
interests (since democrats are the only ones who understand
what's best for blacks (Just ask Robert Byrd and Bull Conner) the
ignorant black can request a copy of an actual ballot to cast a
vote for another party. A government questionaire will be
required before said black person's "Application for Vote Default
Opt-Out, Form 125c" so the black person(s)' decision can be
approved by the AGs Special Assistant Secretary for Vote Approval
of Colored People Thought Making. All application will be
approved or dissaproved by an AG panel of experts, much like our
soon to be health care, and a decision will be made on election
day. And honestly, how can a black person be trusted to vote in a
proper state of mind if they vote against a democrat?
Any and all ballots, if approved, will be mailed on election.
