The Politico is reporting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has concluded she lacks the votes to pass the strongest form of the public option. If true, this means that any final legislation is more likely to contain the "trigger" for the government plan instead.

So Nancy's bony finger pointing and wide-eyed glare didn't scare enough Democrats to vote for this crap? That IS good news. Now I only hope the Republicans can stand tough! God! What am I saying?! We're goners!

No intelligent American should be brainwashed by this----the public option is only a minor part of the whole/entire fiasco known as Obamacare. Whether or not the public option in included is irrelevant----this Democrat promoted legislation is nothing more than WELFARE and/or WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION. It's purpose is to take away Medicare from seniors who have worked their entire lives and to give healthcare to the indigent constituents of Democrats as just another welfare/government benefit, so that they/Democrats can recieve their/indigents' votes in return!!!!!

The problem with this whole debate is that, if health care is a "fundamental human right" (and let's just assume that it is for the sake of argument) that the government can completely overtake, what other fundamental human rights can the government come in and overtake as an industry. I was under the impression that food, clothing and shelter were the primary human rights (needs). Without them a public funded colonoscopy won't do you much good. So, now that the government has established its right to completely overtake health care as a human right, can they also assign housing, assign clothing, and manage food production and distribution? How about employment? Is that a fundamental human right that the government can overtake? Where does it end? USSR? China? Cuba?

Maybe we need a "trigger" against the Government. Any questions? See the Founding Revolutionaries.
