Can't they just move on to more important news? This is a boring non-story now and the networks are clogging the arteries of all the information channels with this total crap.

It's over, if the family orchestrated it then let the local LEO handle it and give an occasional update. If it was just one of those things that occasionally happen then, OK, it happened, we witnessed it, we saw the conclusion of the event, and now it is done.
