House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Domestic Policy Subcommittee Ranking Member Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) have requested that controversial Obama "czar" Kevin Jennings appear before the Oversight committee.

In a letter to Committee Chairman Eldophus Towns (D-MD) and Subcommittee Chairman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), Issa and Jordan write, "The vetting undertaken by this Administration during its hiring processes, as well as the standards it imposes, appear inadequate. In some cases, individuals have displayed troubling behavior that renders them unfit to serve the American people. This is especially true for Mr. Jennings."

WWAAHHHH! OBAMA WON WAAAH! Seriously, get over it. First of all, "czars" are simply policy advisors, they actually do very little. Second, Bush had more "czars" than Obama ever did. Why was no one in Congress rabidly attacking his policy advisors? Third, Kevin Jennings has been cleared of any wrongdoing and the former student he advised has actually come out in support for Jennings. Fourth, this is obviously part of the right-wing anti-gay agenda - the only reason for opposing Jenning's is clear - he's a gay man, and conservatives simply can't deal with gay. He's an extremely experienced and qualified individual in the field of education. This boils down to one, fat, stinky word: HOMOPHOBIA.

Seriously? Get a life.

Bush had 9 czars! Obama has 32 czars! Only lefthand logic could claim Bush had more czars than Obama!!!!

so why was Larry Craig treated like dirt?

no answer because you don't want to discuss it, you just want to win gay brownie-points.

Larry Craig was treated like dirt because he's an anti-gay hypocrite who was caught trying to solicit gay sex in an airport men's room. Personally, I don't think it's anyone's business who Larry Craig likes to get it on with, but if he prefers anonymous trysts with men, he probably shouldn't vote against gay rights issues. Seems more than a mite hypocritical.

Jennings has no business being any where near young people: Even more outrageous is the fact he's been appointed to an official position by President Obama.

What is it about fisting that you don't understand?

The Democrat party is the party of death and perversion. November 2010 can't come soon enough.

More to the point of the article, I would welcome the opportunity for Mr. Jennings to testify before the House Oversight Committee. I would also welcome the former student's testimony. "Brewster" has already publicly stated that he was 16 at the time (legal age of consent in NJ) and that regardless he didn't have sex with anyone.

I do seem to recall that one of those conservative handbooks, the one called "The Bible" has some very strong words regarding "bearing false witness." I'm eager to see these hearings go forward so that certain conservative congressmen can offer their deep apologies for hurling about baseless accusations of moral turpitude.

Since you've mentioned the Bible, I think it's only fair to say that it also had 'some very strong words' about Sodom and Gemmorrah, too. Remember that little story? Charming, wasn't it?

Heck, Yes! Get Jennings up there in front of the American people--let's see what the good 'czar' has to say for himself.

There's a LOT we don't know about Jennings and his support of NAMBLA. Get everything out in the open!
