What's In a Name?

Several years ago, liberals made the decision to refer to a the idea of a government-run plan as a "public option," because "public" tests better with people than "government," and the term "option" emphasizes choice. Evidently, Sen. Jay Rockefeller doesn't think the term "public option" is very effective, either. Instead, he calls his version of the government plan a "consumer choice plan." But a government-run plan by any other name, would still be a health insurance plan run by the federal government and designed with the objective to drive private insurers out of business over time.

Yeah, I've noticed that too, and noticed how the leftists preferred term has, through unrelenting repetition by the media, become the standard one, inaccurate as it is.

"Government option" should be the neutral phrase, not the right wing phrase. The right wing phrase.. I suggest "welfare option".

Global warming - - - climate change. They really do think the entire country is populated by idiots. Remember, they know best and this is all for our own good. Elitist dungheaps.

But it's so typical! It is the only way they can get elected (that and with tampering illegally with the election process). They are the pro's when it comes to deceit. It's the only way the do business, just look at ACORN. The tip of the iceberg is beginning to show. The sickest thing about the Leftists, to me anyway, is how the bank on the millions of dummies out there who they know will continue to vote for their lying, sorry butts. Even the Devil diguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Cor. 11:14.

The Left loves constantly charging conservative Republicans with "indoctrination", and "propaganda", and "brainwashing." In reality, this is exactly what the Left does. They accuse others of doing the things that they are actually doing. We know that the principles we love are ones of truth. We wish to keep our Republic form of government that the Founders, by God's Grace have given us. The Left seeks to destroy it. The Devil is also referred to in the Bible as "the accuser of the brethren." Rev 12:10. He is also called "the Father of lies." Jn 8:44. So we know that liars are of the Devil, then. So Senator Jay Rockefellar can call it Consumer Choice, but those of us who are awake, by God's Grace, know the truth. Whose side are you on, Senator?

Liberals love euphemisms because they obscure the truth. Example: Abortion = Choice.

Margie| 9.29.09 @ 5:11PM

Daisy,
Right. Choice for the Mother, as in "I don't want this baby, so I'll just kill it." It doesn't matter that the baby has no "choice".

For the Rockefellers of DC, let me inform them of the true verbage of this healthcare legislation------------------it is """"""WELFARE""""" [that is,was and forever will be PAID FOR BY THE SWEAT OF THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER]. Possibly someone should suggest to Mr Rockefeller [as the name implies] that he is obviously financially capable of paying for/funding his desired 'welfare' from his own, private assets/funds instead of squandering those of the our government to do so!!!!!

Choice implies choosing between two options, but there is only ONE choice that is important to democrates and that does not involve an alternate option.
And they never consider that you have a choice for anything thing else, such as, guns, no you cannot have one. Suv's, no you cannot have one.
A home your own size, no you cannot have one.
Now it is health care, you want your own doctor, no you cannot have one.
Folks, the time is now, November 3rd for us and Novenmber 4th for democrats.
Go to the polls and vote for as many Republicans that you can vote for, even the weasels, because we can threaten them with boiling oil, disembowlment and the rack. Oopps, thought I was in Braveheart for a moment.
To channel Joan Crawford " No more spineless republicans!"
Vote early and vote often! Ooops, thought I was in Chicago voting for Mayor Daley.
I hear that old colonial lullabye that the Founders used to sing "When in the course of Human Events...
If we don't do the Right thing, next Spring you'll be seeing this commercial:
Obama's and Biden's hands reaching out.
Statist Farms Insurance.
You're in OUR hands now!
