Sen. Arlen Specter, angling to win over liberals as he tries to
fend off a primary challenge from Rep. Joe Sestak, has called for
the censure of Rep. Joe Wilson for shouting "You Lie" during
President Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress.
"Rep. Wilson apologized immediately afterward but I don't think
that’s adequate," Specter wrote on Twitter this
morning. "There ought to be a reprimand or censure of Rep. Joe
Wilson to discourage that kind of conduct in the future."
Elsewhere, the Politico reminds us that Harry Reid
called President Bush a liar, and refused to apologize.
why is Arlen Specter relevant??

liar.
Obama isn't and the situation was completely uncalled for.

You can't be serious. Reid did not call Bush a liar during a

Wilson did was disgusting.

Susan| 9.10.09 @ 11:55AM
I disagree with the way Rep. Wilson handled himself, but
adamantly agree with his sentiment. I have to give him some kudos
for actually feeling so strongly about the healthcare issue. He
was certainly more passionate about his ideas on the issue than
our dear President is. We'll see the outcome when we attempt to
go to the ER and it looks like a La Hacienda.
Jzak| 9.10.09 @ 11:56AM
The only truth to come out of this Obama's speech; was that Joe
Wilson celled Obama for what he is A LIAR! His Health Care Plan
is like a Big Tuna Fish, leave it out there in the sun long
enough and it will begin to rot and smell. And that's that the
people saw, and found out - the true of Obama's stink plan.
People were shocked to hear Joe Wilson call Obama a LIAR...
However; that is the least Rep. Joe Wilson could have said, on
behalf of his constituents. Should Mr. Obama have been at an
Un-rigged Town Hall Meeting he would have been received with
other words that you wouldn't find dictionaries. What Joe Wilson
said was from WE THE PEOPLE and BY THE PEOPLE. And not from WE

Wilson's comment, no matter how passionate, was undeserving in
such a venue. He should have had the guts to speak to Obama in
person and call him a liar and discuss the issue like real men.
Too many Republicans are watching Glenn Beck and are jumping on
the Fear wagon because their last candidate in the White House
was a complete scum bag and killed 3 TIMES as many Americans as
were killed in the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks.
The anger towards Obama needs to cease. Bring an open mind to the
table, and lets change this damn country around. People need
healthcare. Stop being so self involved, and start thinking more
social justice. Never will congress, even democrats allow this
country to become Communist. So, get off the Glenn Beck crazy
wagon. I don't see any sickle and hammer flags being mandated by
our government yet, so I would say that we are ok!
Go to bed tonight, wake up tomorrow with a smile on your face
knowing you ARE still free, and start making a change and
difference in this world. Fight for what you believe is right,
but dont be bast*rds about it!

The public display of deliberate disrespect for the President of
the United States during a televised address before Congress --
regardless of who that President is -- is not acceptable. Joe
Wilson should be censured. And, the fact is, the people of South
Carolina surely deserve better representation than some ill-bred
neanderthal who clearly is ignorant of the rules of conduct for
the job for which he was elected.
Bill| 9.10.09 @ 11:58AM
Wilson's outburst was infantile and beneath the dignity of the
event. He should be ashamed. And it is this very kind of
inability to use dispassionate analysis and honestly debate
issues which has driven me, a life-long Republican, from the
party. I remember not that long ago when it was conservatives who
were the adults, and the liberals who were the reactionary
radicals. Grow up, GOP, or continue to see your relevance shrink!
Bridget Yankoitz| 9.10.09 @ 11:59AM
The Democrats are hypocrites!. When Bush was making his speeches
a few Democrats made hissing or disrespectng noises. Joe Wilson
is right on about Obama lieing or not speak all truths. Illegal's
can get healthcare on tax payers exspense, they have been doing
it for along time. Given false addresses and not paying their
bills and the poor hospitals and tax payers flipping the bill for
it. If the president was a man of honor why don't he start out by
telling the real truth if he really calls for CHANGE. These
illegals have no right to demand benefits. They don't belong in
this country and have broken to many of our laws. I am also
against amnesty and don't agree with the Presidents views on how
America should be. Just look at all the (Szars) and radicals the
president associates with. There's ????? of the corruption and
greed in our government. People are outraged of the high deficit,
enormous spending, pork, lobbyist that Obama stated he will not
have and he lied about that. This is not the change we the people
wanted, to me its the same old garbage.!!!!!!

I'm on the left, and I'm not afraid of the American Spectator.
Who needs to be afraid of views that are typically based on lies
designed to obfuscate for their corporate masters? Lies are
easily dispelled. Witness the Republican a**hole, Joe Wilson, who
lied when he called President Obama a liar. Plays well to the
idiots who "done" watched the speech and agreed with Wilson,
despite the obvious fallacy in his racist comment. Section 246 is
an entire section specifically eliminating "illegals" from any
kind of federal compensation. Joe Wilson is a liar. The
Republican Party is a party of liars, adulterers, charlatans, and
child molesters.
Dawn| 9.10.09 @ 12:01PM
About time a Rep of the people did what the people want. These
people are not royality-but public servants, and Obama is to
listen to the people, which he isnt. Wilson only did what
millions of people wish Obama would realize-READ the bill, it
isnt about Repubs or Dems, but the Bill is flawed in so many ways
it needs a complete overhaul. As for McCain, he will say anything
that is popular at the moment.
Chris| 9.10.09 @ 12:02PM
There's a huge difference between Reid calling Bush a liar in an
interview, and Wilson heckling Obama during his address to
Congress. The comparison is just silly.
Beyond that, Wilson is an intelligent guy, he knows that the
health care draft currently specifically prohibits insuring
illegal immigrants.
It's in there for everyone, including Wilson, to read. His heckle
was ignorant, and his behavior unacceptable.
It reminded me of Hillary Clinton rolling her eyes when Bush
spoke, with the added disruption of shouting like a lunatic in
the middle of an address to Congress.
Bill| 9.10.09 @ 12:02PM

jwidner| 9.10.09 @ 12:06PM
What tends to be lost in this is the disrespect Wilson showed
both for the office of the Presidency and Congress by expressing
such comments at that time. I wouldn't have cared if he said it
to the press afterwards, but what this country is losing is any
sense of respect for leaders and office and is setting poor
examples for both children and our young people. Witness the
outrage over Obama's speech to school children. To react the way
parents and some educators did rather than reading the
pre-release of the speech, they demonstrated to children that it
is ok to accuse the "President" of having hidden agenda toward
them.
Wilson should be censured, quite honestly. If I stood in Congress
when Cheney sat in the Senate and yellled " Your a Dick". People
would have been outraged. Even if I disagreed with him, I have
enough sense to have had respect for his position as VP.

Israeli Psychologists' View on Obama
Israeli Psychologists' view on Obama
Be sure to read all the way to the end.
The Writer googled this man and did some reading about him.
He is for real. Dr. Sam Vaknin is an Israeli psychologist.
Interesting view on our new president.
Dr Vaknin has written extensively about narcissism.
('narcissism' a noun. exaggerated self-admiration; exaggerated
self-love)
---------------------------------------------------
Dr. Vaknin States, "I must confess I was impressed by Sen.Barack
Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to
see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared
to be confident - a wholesome presidential package. I was put off
soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there
was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling.
His posture and his body language were louder than his empty
words. Obama's speeches are unlike any political speech we have
heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had
such quasi "religious" impact on so many people. The fact that
Obama is a total incognito with zero accomplishment, makes this
inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man.
He is not a genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most
important subjects." Barack Obama is a narcissist.
Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of the "Malignant Self Love" believes
"Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist." Vaknin is a world
authority on narcissism. He understands narcissism and describes
the inner mind of a narcissist like no other person. When he
talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that Obama's
language, posture anddemeanor, and the testimonies of his
closest, dearest and nearest suggest that the Senator is either a
narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder
(NPD). Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of
themselves.
Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of 'People's Temple', the man
who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass
suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist.
David Koresh, Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Stalin,
Saddam, Mao,Kim Jong Ill and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of
narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence
over their fanciers. They created a personality cult around
themselves and with their blazing speeches elevated their
admirers, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in
their minds a new zest for life. They gave them hope! They
promised them the moon, but alas, invariably they brought them to
their doom.
When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don't know it
until it is too late. One determining factor in the development
of NPD is childhood abuse. His parents went through a divorce
when he was an infant (two years old). Obama saw his father only
once again, before he died in a car accident. Then his mother
re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia , a foreign
land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a
step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with
his maternal(white) grandparents. He saw his mother only
intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished
from his life in 1979. She died of cancer in 1995.
One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of
pathological narcissists. They project such an imposing
personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by the
charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in his hands.
They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be at his service.
The narcissist shapes the world around himself and reduces others
in his own inverted image. He creates a cult of personality.
His admirers become his co-dependents Narcissists have no
interest in things that do not help them to reach their personal
objective. They are focused on one thing alone and that is power.
All other issues are meaningless to them and they do not want to
waste their precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not
help them is beneath them and do not deserve their attention.
If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one way
or another, he has no interest in it.. The "present" vote is a
safe vote. No one can criticize him if things go wrong. Those
issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are not
about him. Obama's election as the first black president of the
Harvard Law Review led to a contract and advance to write a book
about race relations.
The University of Chicago Law School provided him a lot longer
than expected and at the end it evolved into, guess what? His own
autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing on
race relations, for which he had been paid, Obama could not
resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled the book
"Dreams from My Father".. Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also
wrote his own autobiography when he was still nobody. So did
Stalin.
For a narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why
would he waste his precious time and genius writing about
insignificant things when he can write about such an august being
as himself? Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless as
the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama's lack
of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per
month.
A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in
Hawaii, and who has raised nearly half a billion dollars for his
campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in
the plight of his own brother. Why? Because, his brother cannot
be used for his ascent to power.
A narcissist cares for no one but himself. This election is like
no other in the history of America . The issues are insignificant
compared to what is at stake. What can be more dangerous than
having a man bereft of conscience, a serial liar, and one who
cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of
the free world? I hate to sound alarmist, but one is a fool if
one is not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose
no threat to others...They are simply self serving and selfish.
Obama evidences symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is
different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard Nixon
or a Bill Clinton for example. To him reality and fantasy are
intertwined. This is a mental health issue, not just a character
flaw. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look
normal and even intelligent..
It is this disguise that makes them treacherous..
Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama. But
this man could put an end to their party. The great majority of
blacks have also decided to vote for Obama. Only a fool does not
know that their support for him is racially driven. This is
racism, pure and simple. The downside of this is that if Obama
turns out to be the disaster I predict, he will cause widespread
resentment among the whites. The blacks are unlikely to give up
their support of their man. Cultic mentality is pernicious and
unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand and
blame Obama's detractors of racism. This will cause a backlash
among the whites.
The white supremacists will take advantage of the discontent and
they will receive widespread support. I predict that in less than
four years, racial tensions will increase to levels never seen
since the turbulent 1960's.
Obama will set the clock back decades... America is the bastion
of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the strength of
America , and its weakness translates into the triumph of
terrorism and victory of rogue nations.
It is no wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Castroists,
the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo
terrorists and virtually all sworn enemies of America are so
thrilled by the prospect of their man in the White House. America
is on the verge of destruction.
There is no insanity greater than electing a pathological
narcissist as president.
When the people fear the government - that is tyranny.
When the government fear the people - that is liberty..
. . . Thomas Jefferson
jwidner, it's so funny you bring up disrespect for the office of

In reference to last sentence in the above article- it was more
the the time and place of the comment that was the problem.
People call presidents liars all the time and nothing much is

childish and disgusting. Harry Reid called Bush a liar, but he id
not yell it out during a speech on the floor of the house. Do you

Harry Reid did his namecalling the backstabber way. Wilson had
the guts to say it to his face.
I don't understand the relevance of Harry Reid calling Bush a
liar. The issue here is NOT what Joe Wilson said, it's WHEN HE
SAID IT! He could have yelled out 'Obama is better than Santa
Claus!,' it wouldn't deflect from the fact that he is yelling out
at the president in the middle of a congressional address. If you
think this behavior is tolerable I suggest you try yelling at

Bush a liar, and refused to apologize.

HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN| 9.10.09 @ 12:30PM
Mr. Obama first used the word "LIAR". The speech wasn't to
clarify points but to put down anyone who opposed his views.
Obama called people who read the Bill and still have legitimate
gripes "liars" because they look beyond his words and see the
power he is giving the government and taking away from the
doctors and patients. If you feel "liar" was not in the decorum
of the occasion perhaps he should have just "boo'd" like the Dems
did when Pres. Bush was giving one of His State of the Union
Addresses.
DA| 9.10.09 @ 12:32PM
How about censure and expulsion for Barney Frank, who broke House
rules by stopping another Representative who had the floor and
illegally stopped the debate?
SL| 9.10.09 @ 12:32PM
Way to go, Joe Wilson. Obama is lying. I honestly wish that
Wilson had not apologized, but I'm happy that he's standing
behind his comments. Stay strong, Joe Wilson. Conservatives
everywhere support you.
Reid pointed out that Bush was lying but he did not interrupt
Bush during an address to Congress to do so. Speaking out of turn
in Congress and using unparliamentary language is in and of
itself a violation of Congressional rules of order.
PS: Section 246 of the bill denies coverage to undocumented
aliens, so Obama was right and Wilson was wrong.

Let's clear up a few things. Number one Reid to didn't interrupt
Bush during a speech to call him a liar. Secondly, it has been
proven time and time again that Bush is a liar. Furthermore, it
is these tactics that have obfuscated the truth from his and
other like minded partisan politicans constiuents. People, who
would rather have the status quo of waste health care spending
and the insurance and pharmaceutical companies continue to get
rich while millions of people go into bankruptcy, have their life
shortened or die because they cannot afford proper health care.
Ironically, it is these very politicans and interested parties
that many people loyally follow and at the same time are the
people who cannot afford health care or pay the bills. Don't let
fear and meaningless rhetoric obfuscate the truth that all
Americans deserve affordable and adequate health care. No one
should have to die and or go broke because they cannot afford
proper health care. The pharmaceutical companies, insurance
companies and the politicans that support them need to realize
their greed is what caused this massive recession and that
unfettered greed that is allowed by our government will destroy
everybody. People like Joe Wilson need to have a little more
empathy for the people he supposedly represents and respect for
the office he was elected to hold.

Thank-You Joe Wilson for calling Obama a liar. That he is.
Illegals will be covered. They will not have to pay the health
care plan tax nor will they be fined for not having health care.
They will be treated anytime at an emergency room and we will pay
for it. On July 30th the Dems voted down a bill by Rep. Nathan
Deal that would require health care providers to use a
verification program for health care services Their identity as
to their legal status will not be questioned as it would be in
other countries or in their own country. So by voting this down
Democrats know very well illegals will be covered. LIARS! Debate

Joe Wilson!

Are you people Kidding?
Censure someone for calling a lying president a liar? What the
hell are you thinking. If this were the case, most the Liberal
Nut jobs in congress would have been censured during the last

I didn't hear about censure when the socialist democrats booed
President Bush during the inaugural speech.
OK, let’s Censure Wilson. Then let’s do what we are supposed to
do and Impeach those officials who have blatantly broke the law.

public servants.
By the way; Joe Wilson would still be there, censure and all...
John C.| 9.10.09 @ 12:47PM
I have met Joe Wilson and he is a thoughtful person who cares
deeply about his constituents.
I believe he had a momentary lapse of judgment, for which he has
apologized.
The reason Mr. Wilson was so passionate about this issue is he
was one of the authors of a Bill to specifically exclude illegal
immigrants from being covered by the proposed public option, and
the Democrats roundly defeated his bill.
Whether or not the proposed legislation will cover illegal
immigrants is unclear at best, so if the Bill has no hidden
agenda to cover illegals, then why was Mr Wilson's Bill
defeated??
Perhaps he should have shouted "Not True" instead...

Where are the men willing to face censure to speak the truth? The

Karen- That is how it works now- anyone without insurance goes to
an emergency room and gets medical care- so we all cover it.
Legal or illegal immigrant, citizen or not. Legally, no one can
be turned away from the ER. So under the current exisiting health
care system, illegals are covered in that way- no one pays so we
all pay. It would not change under Obama. Know your facts before

Ayame| 9.10.09 @ 3:57PM
Representative Wilson's behavior was unacceptable. I stand by the
right of elected officials to call each other out, but shouting
out at the President while he addresses Congress is
unprofessional and rude and I expect more from those we send to
public office than public rabble rousing.
I don't care what Senator Reid has done in past (his comments
were not shouted out at President Bush while he addressed
Congress) - this is the leader of our nation. Whether we love or
hate the person holding it, let's try to maintain some respect
for the dignity of the office itself.
And since when did two wrongs make a right, that's the logic of
children, not informed adults that actually care about the
dignity of our nation.
David| 9.10.09 @ 3:58PM
Maybe Rep. Wilson's comment was out of line given the formality
of the occasion. However, this is still a free country, at least
for now. I don't think Wilson should have apologized for his
comment. He should have apologized only for the TIMING of his
comment. Joe Wilson should be lauded within the Republican Party
and supported for having the guts to speak up against this
inexperienced, arrogant president. It's a shame that Wilson had
to fold to the pressure of senior Republicans such as John
McCain. I voted for McCain but he now makes me sick because he is
such a spineless wonder. People support Obama because they want
"something for nothing". They want the government to supply
everything so they can live on "easy street" and not have to
work. That is the mentality of the younger generation now days
and Obama is part of this generation.
Citizrm Mobius| 9.10.09 @ 3:59PM
When the President of the United States enters a room, everyone
stands; not because the man is George Washington, Abe Lincoln,
George Bush, or Barack Obama, but because of the office the man
represents. I'm a sixty-four year old Republican who remembers my
mother taking me with her to walk precincts for Ike. Never have I
been so embarassed by my party as to watch with the rest of our
citizens and the world as representatives of my party disrepected
the office of the President by twittering on their phones and
interrupting our nation's President with an insulting bellow.
Neither Citizen Wilson nor Representative Wilson had a right to
address this venue of a JOINT Session of Congress. Rep. Wilson
does have a right to speak from the venue of the floor of the
House to which he was elected and from a news conference, like
Harry Reid did when he said that Bush was lying. Addressing this
Joint Session was the purview of only one elected representative,
The President. Republicans, like
myself, and Democrats, tuned in to hear our President address our
Congress, not his heckler. Rep. Wilson has apologized to The
President.
He still owes an apology to us, the Citizens.

Flel| 9.10.09 @ 4:20PM
Wilson owes an apology to no one. I was calling him a liar to the
car radio on the way home too. Speaking untruths and half-truths
with sincerity does not make them true. It was my wish that all
the Republicans simply get up and walk out on this speech and let
the Democrats get down to their dirty business of taking whatever
remaining income they can from working people and giving it to
the "less fortunate." To sit by quietly and bear witness to the
platitudes and scoldings should be an embarrassment to both
houses of Congress. He continues to demonize Bush as if all of
the problems of the country were his doing. He was a member of
Congress and yet he conveniently absolves himself of any blame. A

First off this is America and you still have freedom of speech.
If the president in fact did say that health care would not be
provided to illegal aliens then perhaps he did not read page 50
line 152.
Granted it was voted in but perhaps if it's a sticking point it
should be voted out.
Really...if you had a serious health issue and lived in another
country, wouldn't you try and beg, borrow, steal or crawl into
America for free health care?
I don't mind helping other Americans get good health care - but
we are talking about people that have fundamentally broken the
law.
The basic reason of "why" America exists is that law abiding
people can self govern.
Illegal aliens can't even do the basic act of being law abiding
and then want to hold our (Americans) feet to the fire because we
tell them they have to be law abiding, in order to get anything.
There is no way someone that makes less then minim wage could
possible put in enough sales taxes to cover their use of the
infrastructure. Police, fire, roadways, bridges, public
transportation, hospital emergency rooms are NOT free, somewhere
at sometime somebody pays in subsidies. Subsidies usually come in
the form of property or income tax. So if you can’t own property
and you don’t have a SSN, how can you possibly put in one dime to
the infrastructure?
So is it a wonder that the average American that has read and
knows about page 50 line 152 is pissed…Really who wouldn’t be.

Excuse me Kay but I couldn't disagree with you more. In reviewing

hardly any different and appropriate IMHO when the President is
indeed lying on a national broadcast to the entire world.
Regarding your claim that you searched for the word "illegal", my
dear Kay, the word you should have searched for was UNDOCUMENTED.
Democrats have abolished the use of the word "illegal" and only
those that wish to use that topic as a means by which to call

Karen is absolutely correct re "undocumented" being in the bill.
Kay, if, as Obama stated, that it's a lie illegal immigrants will
be covered under the plan, why did the Dems vote down the
amendment stating they will not be covered (which they did more
than once)? Same question re not covering abortions. Same
question re why won't Congress include an amendment that requires
them and Obama to be covered by the same plan they want to force
on us? All of these have been proposed in various amendments by
Republicans and all have been voted down by Democrats. It's
obvious the Dems are lying about these issues and so much more,
and it's about time we called them on it. We still have a First
Amendment right to do so.
Doug R| 9.10.09 @ 7:03PM
Anyone actually read the wording regarding illegals in the bill?
HB3200, page 143, section 246
specifically states that illegals are ineligable for th
Government sponsored health plan.
Doug R| 9.10.09 @ 7:15PM
This is the actual wording of page 143 sec 246.
"Sec. 246. No Federal Payment For Undocumented Aliens."
"Nothing in this subtitle shall allow the federal payment for
affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not
lawfully present in The United States".
Don't believe me? Look it up: http://energycommerce.house.go...../aahca.pdf
Doug R| 9.10.09 @ 7:16PM
Period. End of discussion on whether Obama was lying.
Melody W.| 9.10.09 @ 7:40PM
Doug R. There is nothing in the bill to enforce the statement you
quoted, and an amendment was defeated in committee that would
have required the use of the Systematic Alien Verification for
Entitlements program. Further, from the report entitled
“Treatment of Noncitizens in H.R. 3200” by the non-partisan
Congressional Research Service, under H.R. 3200, a “Health
Insurance Exchange” would begin in 2013 that offers private plans
alongside a public option. The Exchange would provide eligible
individuals and small businesses with access to insurers’ plans,
including the public option, in a comparable way. Individuals
would only be eligible to enroll in an Exchange plan if they were
not enrolled in other acceptable coverage (for example, from an
employer, Medicare and generally Medicaid). H.R. 3200 does not
contain any restrictions on noncitzens participating in the
Exchange—whether the noncitizens are legally or illegally
present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently.”
Putting aside the issue of illegal immigrants, there are plenty
of other objections to HR3200. Read the following article at CNN
Money (hardly a bastion of conservativism or right-wing
conspiracists) for some thoughts about what freedoms we will lose
under Obamacare.
http://money.cnn.com/2009/07/2.....a.fortune/
Again, I ask if illegal immigrants and abortions are not covered,
why do Dems continue to vote aaginst amendments that specifically
state such? And why do Dems refuse to vote for an amendment
stating they will participate in the same plan?
Nick| 9.10.09 @ 7:43PM
Melody W.,
Right on point!
Excellent.
Doug R,
What exactly are the penalties for those who receive "federal
payment for affordability credits"? Hmmmmm?
A law that forbids an action but does not punish the act is
meaningless.

Melody W.,
You beat me to it! ARGGHH! Oh well.

Doug R| 9.10.09 @ 8:01PM
Fist of all Nick an Melody W. Thank you, thank you, thank you,
for a rational, well reasoned response to my post. I wish this
entire discussion was as intelligent as you folks are. Your point
is well taken reagrding enforcement and that definately needs to
be worked out. The bill is not in it's final form and this debate
will hopefully clarify this issue. I made my point to illustrate
that the President was not lying. There is nothing in this bill
that gives illegals explicit entry to the plan. The congressmans
outburst was unwarrented and an overraction at an inappropriate
time.
Mark L. Johnson| 9.10.09 @ 8:09PM
Karen @1:46PM, I would consider any action that has to be
apologized for as a boner, mistake , goof, or whatever word you
want to use for it. Yes, some people will cheer for it, but some
people also cheer when a guy gets hit in the nuts on America's
Funniest Home Videos. If Joe Wilson admits it was wrong - and he
was the one that did it - then it is just wrong.
Nick| 9.10.09 @ 8:27PM
Doug R.,
On behalf of myself, thanks for the compliment. But you will gain
no quarter.
I believe it was B.O. who first called certain opponents of his
health care debacle "liars."
And, how am I supposed to hit a moving target?
"The bill is not in it's final form[...]"
"There is nothing in this bill[...]"
So which is it? As Melody showed, the GOP has offered many
amendments and the democrats have defeated them all. You can't
say, "Well, that will be worked out later, but it's not in the
bill now."
And everybody is assuming Joe Wilson was specifically saying B.O.
was just lying about the illegal alien charge. Mr. Wilson
could've been talking about B.O.'s many lies.
So to try and pidgeonhole Mr. Wilson on this one issue is
deflecting from all of B.O.'s lies and how much he has screwed
this up.

T Zale| 9.10.09 @ 9:54PM
While his vocalization during the Presidents speech to Congress
may be viewed as poor etiquette and a bad move politically for
the Republicans, I agree that it is a lie that illegals will not
recieve healthcare at our expense. The President and the
Democrats want to make it law that all Americans obtain Health
Insurance to reduce the number seeking Emergency Room treatment.
Just where does he think these illegals will end up? Who will pay
for their medical treatment in emergency situations? While the
Bill may not specifically say they will be treated, the end
result will be that they will. Perhaps not covered under the
Public Option and they will not be paying Premiums but they will
receive Free treatment at our expense. Since they are a very
large number of those they claim are uninsured, if they are not
specifically addressed in the Reform legislation, it will cost
taxpayers a bundle.
Also, how do the Democrats expect College and Graduate students
to pay for Health Insurance? No comment on that. Also, nobody has
asked what the Public Option Premiums will be compared to
like(apples to apples) coverage under Private Insurance. It is
reported that the savings will be between 10-30% by a Government
commissioned study. I expect it will be less than that.
Additionally, if both spouses work and one elects coverage under
the others group plan, due to less cost/better coverage/lower
deductible, then what? It is my understanding that the employer
of the person being covered under their spouses plan will then
have to pay 8% for that employee eventhough they are covered
under their spouses group plan. Too much has gone unsaid in the
Democrats plan. There are not enough specificsm, so it is
impossible for anyone to make an intelligent, informed decision
on whether their plan will reduce cost and provide individuals

Tax evader Rangel is the one that should step down. He broke the

yea right! By the way are "boos" any better. Are those against
what the President says suppose to stand up and applaud. I don't
think Wilson made a good decision in what he did. But I also
don't think the President was right in stating during his way to
numerous TV appearances that "there are those that make false
statements/lies". The Bill might not specifically say something,
but the outcome of policies provided in the Bill will result in
rationing of care, reduced quality of treatment and lack of
Private Insurance.
Our Constitution will allow for illegals to be covered under
Obama Care if and when the govt mandates thru Obama Health Reform
(?). The state of California tried to keep illegals from getting
health care and two federal courts thumbed their nose at
California. Our Constitution does not allow us to give to some
and not to illegals...Obama is lying when he knows that the
Constitution covers all when the govt offers public health
care....That is why we must fight the public option..also the
Supreme Court refused to hear the California case...

Seriously though, when millions of illegals need/ed medical care,

As some of you have commented, I am supposedly part of the
deadbeat generation that wants nothing more than handouts, just
because I am young. I might also be heckled as a liberal or
conservative just because I ask for civility from someone who is
an advocate of one party or another.
But what I really want is discussion like my grandpa and grandma
said used to happen back in the day. Rep. Wilson should call out
the President if he disagrees, but I know he could find a more
professional way to do so than shouting at our President in the
middle of a Congressional speech. I learned about government from
grandparents and I also learned about manners and I'd like to see
some common decency and honest discussion about the issues rather
than everyone yelling at and insulting each other.
How are we, as the next generation, supposed to learn anything,
when our parents and leaders do nothing but yell at each other?
My grandpa was a second generation American and believed fully in
the strength of each individual to earn his or her keep, and my
grandma had strong liberal views. They each shared important
lessons with me, yet sometimes it's hard to hear either above the
irrational and ill-thought screams of both right and left.
As a young person getting started in this world, I implore all of
you, again, to consider respect of your fellow humans and their
beliefs.
Nobama| 9.11.09 @ 2:53AM
Madeleine, I know it's hard for you to understand because you're
a brain dead liberal, but this is not because Obama's 1/2 black.
It's because he's a Marxist and he's destroying our country. We
don't want a Marxist in 10 years either, brain trust.
You liberals scream racist any chance you get; that way you don't
have to come up with a real argument. So many stupids, no wonder
our country is such a mess.

Jeremiah,
I can't tell whether you are sincere in your response to me or
not, but I'll be earnest and honest back, and I hope you meant it
the same way. It's not a diatribe I posted all around the
internet, just here, and I meant what I said, as simple as that
and I hope others will take it at face value.
I'm guessing you mean people will either cheer or insult me on
those sites, but that's not really what I was seeking. I'm just a
youngin' getting interested in politics and looking for a little
respectful and respectable commentary from those who've been
involved longer. I hope you are one that will share your
thoughtful insights back.
As for posting it elsewhere, I didn't, only because I was trying
to be thoughtful about the particular situation we are all
discussing regarding Rep. Wilson's comments, but I believe in
what I say and I would hope that my desire for grown-up
discussion would appeal to all intelligent folks, red or blue. It
gets really exhausting trying to sort through the muck when
everyone just yells and insults one another.
Nick| 9.11.09 @ 6:31AM
Ayame,
Here's some free advice:
1) You shouldn't lecture people on manners. Either they have them
or they don't.
2) If you're respectful to someone and they attack you, call them
on it.
3) If you're attacked, defend yourself.
And 4) Realize that some of us who post here with some regularity
have histories with others who are vicious hacks, and so we hit
them back just as hard.
Hope that helps. Take care.

Brittanicus| 9.11.09 @ 11:34PM
The incident that occurred in Congress by Rep. Joe Wilson R-NC,
illustrates the consequences of a blurring line between illegal
immigration and health care. Our politicians have been alerted to
the angry voices of the American people. For once they have
disregarded the business campaign contributors and all the
cloaked gifts given for services rendered by special interest
lobbyists. Millions of US citizens are enraged with the status
quo buying favors from our representatives that has led to our
wilting economy. Today speaking on behalf of Washington
committees on health care, the lawmaking emphasized that illegal
aliens cannot access the new health reform package, that any
person applying will be checked through government databases.
E-Verify might be implemented for this very issue, that it has
shown in the majority of cases remarkable successes in remove
illegal alien workers from the working environment. E-Verify can
solve this problem and bring sanity back to immigration
enforcement. E-VERIFICATION OF EACH AND EVERY AMERICAN WORKER
MUST BE MADE PERMANENT? NOT JUST VOLUNTARY POLICY, BUT AS A FULL
FORCE OF OPERATION CARRYING STRICT PENALTIES. This operation will
work under federal policies? But what about state laws?
California as an example is a Sanctuary state for millions of
illegal immigrants and their families? Other border states are
also occupied by large proportions of unlawful populations of
foreign nationals?
This last year has culminated in huge financial losses in
California caused by millions of low income illegal aliens, which
has created a third world community within the United States.
There must be federal measures to bring under control, massive
spending benefits for people who have no right from benefiting
from those who come here legally or were born here. How can any
public health care option work at a state level, when states like
California ignore federal law, regarding financial refuge to
indigent people? Our own people remain homeless and in many cases
without hope, when legislators have prioritized, health care,
education an overloaded jail system and easy welfare money for
illegal immigrants?
The once golden state has been using taxpayer money, to support
illegal aliens, when the same expenditures should have been
adopted for a collapsing infrastructure. Highways, schools,
tunnels, bridges and dams in a dangerous state of disrepair? Our
legislators in many cases have been seduced by lobbyists and
should be banned from any contact with our politicians. This will
never happen, but something must be done? Millions have been
spent on derailing the health care reform currently and in the
past, as has immigration enforcement. Rescinding 287(g) federal
training for local police enforcement of immigration laws, the NO
MATCH LETTER and the cutting back on ICE raids on obnoxious
businesses using foreign workers.
The order to crush E-verify was given to Sen.Harry Reid, Speaker
Pelosi, Janet Napolitano, but narrowly survived in the Senate
chambers. Both political parties are equally to blame for not
enforcing the 1986 Immigration Control & Reform Act that was
inundated with fraud and a desire to weaken the laws. Now they
want to rescind that law, offering yet another reform package
that will never function? Let’s not kid ourselves! Huge veiled
forces are at work to import as much cheap labor as possible with
no restraints, lowering wages and an unconscionable burden on
taxpayers.
DON'T LET THE POWERS IN WASHINGTON WHITEWASH THE FACTS! DEMAND
THE ORIGINAL DESIGNED FENCE AND THE FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF
E-VERIFY, 287 (g), THE SAVE ACT AND AS WRITTEN, THE 1986
SIMPSON/MAZZOLI BILL AND AMEND THEM IF NEED BE? NO MORE

I disagree with the way Rep. Wilson handled himself, but adamantly agree with his sentiment. I have to give him some kudos for actually feeling so strongly about the healthcare issue. The only truth to come out of this Obama's speech; was that Joe Wilson celled Obama for what he is A LIAR! His Health Care Plan is like a Big Tuna Fish, leave it out there in the sun long enough and it will begin to rot and smell. And that's that the people saw, and found out - the true of Obama's stink plan.

Wilson's comment, no matter how passionate, was undeserving in such a venue. He should have had the guts to speak to Obama in person and call him a liar and discuss the issue like real men.
Too many Republicans are watching Glenn Beck and are jumping on the Fear wagon because their last candidate in the White House was a complete scum bag and killed 3 TIMES as many Americans as were killed in the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks.
The anger towards Obama needs to cease. Bring an open mind to the table, and lets change this damn country around. People need healthcare. The Democrats are hypocrites!. When Bush was making his speeches a few Democrats made hissing or disrespectng noises. Joe Wilson is right on about Obama lieing or not speak all truths. Illegal's can get healthcare on tax payers exspense, they have been doing it for along time. Given false addresses and not paying their bills and the poor hospitals and tax payers flipping the bill for it. If the president was a man of honor why don't he start out by telling the real truth if he really calls for CHANGE. These illegals have no right to demand benefits. They don't belong in this country and have broken to many of our laws. I am also against amnesty and don't agree with the Presidents views on how America should be. Just look at all the (Szars) and radicals the president associates with. There's ????? of the corruption and greed in our government. People are outraged of the high deficit, enormous spending, pork, lobbyist that Obama stated he will not have and he lied about that. This is not the change we the people wanted, to me its the same old garbage.!!!!!!

I'm on the left, and I'm not afraid of the American Spectator. Who needs to be afraid of views that are typically based on lies designed to obfuscate for their corporate masters? Lies are easily dispelled. Witness the Republican a**hole, Joe Wilson, who lied when he called President Obama a liar. Plays well to the idiots who "done" watched the speech and agreed with Wilson, despite the obvious fallacy in his racist comment. Section 246 is an entire section specifically eliminating "illegals" from any kind of federal compensation. Joe Wilson is a liar. The Republican Party is a party of liars, adulterers, charlatans, and child molesters.

About time a Rep of the people did what the people want. These people are not royality-but public servants, and Obama is to listen to the people, which he isnt. Wilson only did what millions of people wish Obama would realize-READ the bill, it isnt about Repubs or Dems, but the Bill is flawed in so many ways it needs a complete overhaul. As for McCain, he will say anything that is popular at the moment.
Chris| 9.10.09 @ 12:02PM
There's a huge difference between Reid calling Bush a liar in an interview, and Wilson heckling Obama during his address to Congress. The comparison is just silly.
Beyond that, Wilson is an intelligent guy, he knows that the health care draft currently specifically prohibits insuring illegal immigrants.
It's in there for everyone, including Wilson, to read. His heckle was ignorant, and his behavior unacceptable.
It reminded me of Hillary Clinton rolling her eyes when Bush spoke, with the added disruption of shouting like a lunatic in the middle of an address to Congress.

What tends to be lost in this is the disrespect Wilson showed both for the office of the Presidency and Congress by expressing such comments at that time. I wouldn't have cared if he said it to the press afterwards, but what this country is losing is any sense of respect for leaders and office and is setting poor examples for both children and our young people. Witness the outrage over Obama's speech to school children. To react the way parents and some educators did rather than reading the pre-release of the speech, they demonstrated to children that it is ok to accuse the "President" of having hidden agenda toward them.
Wilson should be censured, quite honestly. If I stood in Congress when Cheney sat in the Senate and yellled " Your a Dick". People would have been outraged. Even if I disagreed with him, I have enough sense to have had respect for his position as VP.

Israeli Psychologists' view on Obama
Be sure to read all the way to the end.
The Writer googled this man and did some reading about him.
He is for real. Dr. Sam Vaknin is an Israeli psychologist.
Interesting view on our new president.
---------------------------------------------------
Dr Vaknin has written extensively about narcissism.
('narcissism' a noun. exaggerated self-admiration; exaggerated self-love)
---------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
Dr. Vaknin States, "I must confess I was impressed by Sen.Barack Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident - a wholesome presidential package. I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama's speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had such quasi "religious" impact on so many people. The fact that Obama is a total incognito with zero accomplishment, makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most important subjects." Barack Obama is a narcissist.
Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of the "Malignant Self Love" believes "Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist." Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism. He understands narcissism and describes the inner mind of a narcissist like no other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that Obama's language, posture anddemeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, dearest and nearest suggest that the Senator is either a narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of themselves.
Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of 'People's Temple', the man who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist. David Koresh, Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Stalin, Saddam, Mao,Kim Jong Ill and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence over their fanciers. They created a personality cult around themselves and with their blazing speeches elevated their admirers, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new zest for life. They gave them hope! They promised them the moon, but alas, invariably they brought them to their doom.
When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don't know it until it is too late. One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant (two years old). Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Then his mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia , a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal(white) grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. She died of cancer in 1995.
One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of pathological narcissists. They project such an imposing personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by the charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in his hands. They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be at his service. The narcissist shapes the world around himself and reduces others in his own inverted image. He creates a cult of personality.
His admirers become his co-dependents Narcissists have no interest in things that do not help them to reach their personal objective. They are focused on one thing alone and that is power. All other issues are meaningless to them and they do not want to waste their precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not help them is beneath them and do not deserve their attention.
If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one way or another, he has no interest in it.. The "present" vote is a safe vote. No one can criticize him if things go wrong. Those issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are not about him. Obama's election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review led to a contract and advance to write a book about race relations.
The University of Chicago Law School provided him a lot longer than expected and at the end it evolved into, guess what? His own autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing on race relations, for which he had been paid, Obama could not resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled the book "Dreams from My Father".. Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also wrote his own autobiography when he was still nobody. So did Stalin.
For a narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why would he waste his precious time and genius writing about insignificant things when he can write about such an august being as himself? Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless as the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama's lack of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month.
A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and who has raised nearly half a billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in the plight of his own brother. Why? Because, his brother cannot be used for his ascent to power.
A narcissist cares for no one but himself. This election is like no other in the history of America . The issues are insignificant compared to what is at stake. What can be more dangerous than having a man bereft of conscience, a serial liar, and one who cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of the free world? I hate to sound alarmist, but one is a fool if one is not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose no threat to others...They are simply self serving and selfish.
Obama evidences symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard Nixon or a Bill Clinton for example. To him reality and fantasy are intertwined. This is a mental health issue, not just a character flaw. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and even intelligent..
It is this disguise that makes them treacherous..
Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama. But this man could put an end to their party. The great majority of blacks have also decided to vote for Obama. Only a fool does not know that their support for him is racially driven. This is racism, pure and simple. The downside of this is that if Obama turns out to be the disaster I predict, he will cause widespread resentment among the whites. The blacks are unlikely to give up their support of their man. Cultic mentality is pernicious and unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand and blame Obama's detractors of racism. This will cause a backlash among the whites.
The white supremacists will take advantage of the discontent and they will receive widespread support. I predict that in less than four years, racial tensions will increase to levels never seen since the turbulent 1960's.
Obama will set the clock back decades... America is the bastion of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the strength of America , and its weakness translates into the triumph of terrorism and victory of rogue nations.
It is no wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Castroists, the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo terrorists and virtually all sworn enemies of America are so thrilled by the prospect of their man in the White House. America is on the verge of destruction.
There is no insanity greater than electing a pathological narcissist as president.
When the people fear the government - that is tyranny.

It would seem that this is typical childish behavior of unscrupulous Politicians.
Let’s see, does the following sound responsible or reasonable?
“You lie” “Daddy I thing he is lying”” not here son, this is not the time are place!!!
I guess Mr. Wilson just forgot the manners that was taught to him when he was a child or he is losing his mind, ether way, at this time, I would not consider him a good representative of us the people, but if you are one who is easily exploited then his must be your hero. After all that’s what Republican do best exploit any and everything!!!!

You cannot do that sort of thing. When the President speaks, you shut your mouth. Even if you don't agree with what he says, which Wilson obviously doesn't, you respect the commander-in-chief. I guarantee that if a Democrat had done this with Bush, every Republican would be calling for his censure.

No reasonable person would argue that Joe Wilson does not have the right to call Obama a liar if he wants to. Many GOPers did before and after the speech. It's the fact that he did it yelling and screaming within the Congressional chamber DURING the address. THAT is the point. If you don't get this, you are crazy and unreasonable. No way around it.

Mr Wilson I would like to shake your hand sir. Thank you for being the ONLY one of your party to stand up to the President. Shame on all the other members of congress for not standing up beside you and shouting, "You lie!" as well. Thank you for being the voice of millions of us at home yelling "You lie!" to our televisions. America needs more people like you in Congress, unafraid and honest. Um, Reid did it in an INTERVIEW, Wilson stood up during Obama's speech and shouted at him.
If Reid had stood up during a SOTU address and shouted "You're a liar!!" at Bush, the right would have called for him to be hung in the town square.

So Joe Wilson made an apology. A very weak one at that, and not at all sincere. It was done to help save face because of public outrage. He never said he was wrong, just that his comments were" inappropriate".

He doesn't hold real town hall meetings. I love how dems are all up in arms over protocol. Obama gets to demand the bully pulpit on all the networks, but no one's allowed to disagree, just stand up and clap. In reference to last sentence in the above article- it was more the the time and place of the comment that was the problem. People call presidents liars all the time and nothing much is made of it, but what rep. Wilson did was not only call out "you lie", but disrespect the room and ALL of the people in it. It was childish and disgusting. Harry Reid called Bush a liar, but he id not yell it out during a speech on the floor of the house. Do you not see the difference you pathetic idiots? You are just a bunch of aging racists who can't stand that the world is changing around you while you stubbornly stand still. Please, all of you, move to Texas. Hopefully those idiots will really secede and the rest of us can build a wall to keep you all out, and then you will be BEGGING for all federal help. Shameful| 9.10.09 @ 12:26PM
I don't understand the relevance of Harry Reid calling Bush a liar. The issue here is NOT what Joe Wilson said, it's WHEN HE SAID IT! He could have yelled out 'Obama is better than Santa Claus!,' it wouldn't deflect from the fact that he is yelling out at the president in the middle of a congressional address. If you think this behavior is tolerable I suggest you try yelling at your boss today directly in the middle of an important meeting and see if you still have a job tomorrow.

Mr. Obama first used the word "LIAR". The speech wasn't to clarify points but to put down anyone who opposed his views. Obama called people who read the Bill and still have legitimate gripes "liars" because they look beyond his words and see the power he is giving the government and taking away from the doctors and patients. If you feel "liar" was not in the decorum of the occasion perhaps he should have just "boo'd" like the Dems did when Pres. Bush was giving one of His State of the Union Addresses.

Let's clear up a few things. Number one Reid to didn't interrupt Bush during a speech to call him a liar. Secondly, it has been proven time and time again that Bush is a liar. Furthermore, it is these tactics that have obfuscated the truth from his and other like minded partisan politicans constiuents. People, who would rather have the status quo of waste health care spending and the insurance and pharmaceutical companies continue to get rich while millions of people go into bankruptcy, have their life shortened or die because they cannot afford proper health care. Ironically, it is these very politicans and interested parties that many people loyally follow and at the same time are the people who cannot afford health care or pay the bills. Don't let fear and meaningless rhetoric obfuscate the truth that all Americans deserve affordable and adequate health care. No one should have to die and or go broke because they cannot afford proper health care. The pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and the politicans that support them need to realize their greed is what caused this massive recession and that unfettered greed that is allowed by our government will destroy everybody. People like Joe Wilson need to have a little more empathy for the people he supposedly represents and respect for the office he was elected to hold.

Thank-You Joe Wilson for calling Obama a liar. That he is. Illegals will be covered. They will not have to pay the health care plan tax nor will they be fined for not having health care. They will be treated anytime at an emergency room and we will pay for it. On July 30th the Dems voted down a bill by Rep. Nathan Deal that would require health care providers to use a verification program for health care services Their identity as to their legal status will not be questioned as it would be in other countries or in their own country. So by voting this down Democrats know very well illegals will be covered. LIARS! Debate Obama on this. Let's bring this issue to the forefront. Thanks, Joe Wilson!

Censure someone for calling a lying president a liar? What the hell are you thinking. If this were the case, most the Liberal Nut jobs in congress would have been censured during the last administration.
I didn't hear about censure when the socialist democrats booed President Bush during the inaugural speech.
OK, let’s Censure Wilson. Then let’s do what we are supposed to do and Impeach those officials who have blatantly broke the law. Once those three quarters are gone, we can elect some actual public servants.
By the way; Joe Wilson would still be there, censure and all...
John C.| 9.10.09 @ 12:47PM
I have met Joe Wilson and he is a thoughtful person who cares deeply about his constituents.
I believe he had a momentary lapse of judgment, for which he has apologized.
The reason Mr. Wilson was so passionate about this issue is he was one of the authors of a Bill to specifically exclude illegal immigrants from being covered by the proposed public option, and the Democrats roundly defeated his bill.
Whether or not the proposed legislation will cover illegal immigrants is unclear at best, so if the Bill has no hidden agenda to cover illegals, then why was Mr Wilson's Bill defeated??
Perhaps he should have shouted "Not True" instead...

Where are those brave, honest representatives today? Where are the men willing to face censure to speak the truth? The emperor was not wearing a birthday suit or lipstick last night, and ONLY ONE lively, outspoken, argumentative, name-calling representative was brave enough to point out the truth. Censure Joe Wilson? By all means we should be polite as we hand over our liberties! God forbid we look like radicals! Seriously?

Karen- That is how it works now- anyone without insurance goes to an emergency room and gets medical care- so we all cover it. Legal or illegal immigrant, citizen or not. Legally, no one can be turned away from the ER. So under the current exisiting health care system, illegals are covered in that way- no one pays so we all pay. It would not change under Obama. He's asked for input continuously, has gotten some, but has gotten a lot of childish, ignorant responses from the right and some of the left. And to top it off, in this case the Spectator has to pull out a weak argument comparing what Reid said in an INTERVIEW to Wilson's action IN CONGRESS. It just goes to show the lack of thought being put into some articles.

Listen up, knuckledragger. Wilson called Obama a liar. There has NEVER been ONE stipulation allowing illegals rights in health care.
What is is about compulisive lying that you righties find so appealing? That other ignorant and angry people are willing to listen and spread the lie? Wow, quite a life goal to strive for...unreal

There's no melodrama to be had when you're talking about common sense..or is that too much to fathom??? He could have said what he wanted if he hadn't been done where it was done..
How could my statements..along with countless others be a disservice to women?? There's nothing wrong with my behavior... or did you see me on TV acting uncouth??? And not to mention Bush was not disrepected in this fashion during a speech such as this... It would have been wrong then also. Call me an apologist. for what??..I'm not the problem!!! I definitely don't need your advice Karen..hopefully never will..That's right people...let's attack each other because we'e become so radical we can't see the forest for the tree branch stuck in our mouth!! I am curious? Do any of the supporters of Wilson's comment read? I don't care about what you feel, tell me the facts. It's irreleant about Van Jones, Rev. Right or Wilson. They all made remarks that offended someone. Let's examine the remarks and actions. No crybaby S#17, In the voice of Sgt. Friday "Just the facts Ma'am." The personalization of this discussion is what's wrong with America more than anything else. Gloria made a legitamate, reasonable comment and was personally attacked for it. How are we EVER going to solve problems in this country if we can't even talk to each other in acivil manner or listen to a speech by the President of The United States while seated on the floor of Congress without being able to control yourself?

As to the degraded state of lying, hysterical, barbaric, loathsome (dare I utter that profane word -- ) Republicans (GASP!), well, obviously Progressives who are rooted in Alinsky and Mao and Stalin and Lenin -- not to mention Marx -- they certainly know how to call a spade a spade.
Oh, dear, now I've done it. Let's see -- I mentioned Communism and a spade. Hmmmm. Let me guess what the vituperative Neo-Dem. will write in these comments!
Oh, that's right, only Republicans call others names, denigrate their public figures, ridicule, use sarcasm, and otherwise "call out" those who would disagree with them.
Wait a minute. Didn't the President say he would "call out" those who have the audacity to disagree with him? And his obviously Socialistic agenda?
When did loving liberty, wanting a government that is not intrusive, that supports small business and allows small business to flourish (so that people can actually get jobs and pay for their own insurance and medical treatment) -- when did loving that kind of approach to government become so annoying to the Democratic Party?

Just before Wilsons outburst last night the prez had just finished calling opponents of his healthcare plan liars. For months the prez has been calling everyone who questioned his healthcare plan liars and he continued to do so for most of last nights speech. Wilson shouldn't have blurted out "you lie" in that forum but I can undedrstand his frustration. As for those of you calling for Wilson to be punished...since when should one be punished for telling the truth. The prez is a liar.

No comment on the issue, only that reading through this mess I am aghast at how many people feel the need to go to profanity in either their writing or in their 'cute' name! It truly says something about our society when discourse can't be held without becoming rude and obnoxious. We saw FAR too much of that in August and it seems, by reading here, that it continues. Heh. A lot of sites are showing video of Bush's 2005 SOTU address, where scores of Dems jeer and boo. Then there's Obambi saying Clinton was a bald-faced liar. And Reid calling Bush a loser and a liar. And how about "Bush lied, people died"? You moonbats sure have a tenuous grip on your own history.
Ayame| 9.10.09 @ 3:57PM
Representative Wilson's behavior was unacceptable. I stand by the right of elected officials to call each other out, but shouting out at the President while he addresses Congress is unprofessional and rude and I expect more from those we send to public office than public rabble rousing.
I don't care what Senator Reid has done in past (his comments were not shouted out at President Bush while he addressed Congress) - this is the leader of our nation. Whether we love or hate the person holding it, let's try to maintain some respect for the dignity of the office itself.
And since when did two wrongs make a right, that's the logic of children, not informed adults that actually care about the dignity of our nation.
David| 9.10.09 @ 3:58PM
Maybe Rep. Wilson's comment was out of line given the formality of the occasion. However, this is still a free country, at least for now. I don't think Wilson should have apologized for his comment. He should have apologized only for the TIMING of his comment. Joe Wilson should be lauded within the Republican Party and supported for having the guts to speak up against this inexperienced, arrogant president. It's a shame that Wilson had to fold to the pressure of senior Republicans such as John McCain. I voted for McCain but he now makes me sick because he is such a spineless wonder. People support Obama because they want "something for nothing". They want the government to supply everything so they can live on "easy street" and not have to work. That is the mentality of the younger generation now days and Obama is part of this generation.
Citizrm Mobius| 9.10.09 @ 3:59PM
When the President of the United States enters a room, everyone stands; not because the man is George Washington, Abe Lincoln, George Bush, or Barack Obama, but because of the office the man represents. I'm a sixty-four year old Republican who remembers my mother taking me with her to walk precincts for Ike. Never have I been so embarassed by my party as to watch with the rest of our citizens and the world as representatives of my party disrepected the office of the President by twittering on their phones and interrupting our nation's President with an insulting bellow. Neither Citizen Wilson nor Representative Wilson had a right to address this venue of a JOINT Session of Congress. Rep. Wilson does have a right to speak from the venue of the floor of the House to which he was elected and from a news conference, like Harry Reid did when he said that Bush was lying. Addressing this Joint Session was the purview of only one elected representative, The President. Republicans, like
myself, and Democrats, tuned in to hear our President address our Congress, not his heckler. Rep. Wilson has apologized to The President.
He still owes an apology to us, the Citizens.
Ron| 9.10.09 @ 4:00PM

Kay| 9.10.09 @ 4:07PM
Jeremiah,
Since you feel no shame in calling me names, I can't help but wonder what it was that I said that made you believe that I am a liberal??? Don't tell me that you KNOW that anyone who calls for civil discourse is a dem! Don't tell me that automatically being offended by adults who can't discuss without profanity is a Dem trait!! Don't tell me that being upset at people who when faceless don't maintain their 'family values' is a liberal point of view! You know, there are Republicans that walk the talk and are proud of it.
Flel| 9.10.09 @ 4:20PM
Wilson owes an apology to no one. I was calling him a liar to the car radio on the way home too. Speaking untruths and half-truths with sincerity does not make them true. It was my wish that all the Republicans simply get up and walk out on this speech and let the Democrats get down to their dirty business of taking whatever remaining income they can from working people and giving it to the "less fortunate." To sit by quietly and bear witness to the platitudes and scoldings should be an embarrassment to both houses of Congress. He continues to demonize Bush as if all of the problems of the country were his doing. He was a member of Congress and yet he conveniently absolves himself of any blame. A well timed Bronx Raspberry would have been more appropriate.
Jeremiah| 9.10.09 @ 4:30PM

Jack| 9.10.09 @ 4:55PM
No, Kay, it's not a wonder. It's hypocrisy, something lefties live by.
Kym| 9.10.09 @ 5:07PM
First off this is America and you still have freedom of speech.
If the president in fact did say that health care would not be provided to illegal aliens then perhaps he did not read page 50 line 152.
Granted it was voted in but perhaps if it's a sticking point it should be voted out.
Really...if you had a serious health issue and lived in another country, wouldn't you try and beg, borrow, steal or crawl into America for free health care?
I don't mind helping other Americans get good health care - but we are talking about people that have fundamentally broken the law.
The basic reason of "why" America exists is that law abiding people can self govern.
Illegal aliens can't even do the basic act of being law abiding and then want to hold our (Americans) feet to the fire because we tell them they have to be law abiding, in order to get anything.
There is no way someone that makes less then minim wage could possible put in enough sales taxes to cover their use of the infrastructure. Police, fire, roadways, bridges, public transportation, hospital emergency rooms are NOT free, somewhere at sometime somebody pays in subsidies. Subsidies usually come in the form of property or income tax. So if you can’t own property and you don’t have a SSN, how can you possibly put in one dime to the infrastructure?
So is it a wonder that the average American that has read and knows about page 50 line 152 is pissed…Really who wouldn’t be.

I am amazed at the ignorance people display by condoning inappropriate behavior. It is not o.k. and it's not "way to go Joe" for not using self-control and decorum. Joe has every right to disagree with the President, but he went about it all wrong. If he feels that strongly about it, he should have been a real man and went to the President to address his concerns...not wait until the President addresses Congress on national television. That was a real punk move! But that's how "they" do it...get courage in a group, but can't say anything one-on-one.
Kay| 9.10.09 @ 5:25PM

It's crazy how people compare Harry Reid to Joe Wilson. Yes Harry Reid clarified that Dubbya lied about WMD to get congressional authorization for a war. Have some of you been living under a rock? That's pretty much known to be known. The question is, did Harry Reid heckle the president by calling him a liar as an outburst during a presidential speech delivered during a joint session? THAT IS WHAT IS AT QUESTION! Some of you people need to understand that though you may have no class at all, the majority of this country does and the overwhelming majority of congressman exhibit a basic level of such dignity.

Excuse me Kay but I couldn't disagree with you more. In reviewing several speeches Bush had given during his two terms, you can audibly hear hisses and boos from the Democrats. This was resoundly accepted by the media as appropriate due to the discourse in the country at that time. A shout out of "liar" is hardly any different and appropriate IMHO when the President is indeed lying on a national broadcast to the entire world.
Regarding your claim that you searched for the word "illegal", my dear Kay, the word you should have searched for was UNDOCUMENTED. Democrats have abolished the use of the word "illegal" and only those that wish to use that topic as a means by which to call opponents of amnesty as racists has painted you as the liberal you really are.
Melody W.| 9.10.09 @ 6:49PM

Kay, if, as Obama stated, that it's a lie illegal immigrants will be covered under the plan, why did the Dems vote down the amendment stating they will not be covered (which they did more than once)? Same question re not covering abortions. Same question re why won't Congress include an amendment that requires them and Obama to be covered by the same plan they want to force on us? All of these have been proposed in various amendments by Republicans and all have been voted down by Democrats. It's obvious the Dems are lying about these issues and so much more, and it's about time we called them on it. We still have a First Amendment right to do so.
Doug R| 9.10.09 @ 7:03PM
Anyone actually read the wording regarding illegals in the bill? HB3200, page 143, section 246
specifically states that illegals are ineligable for th Government sponsored health plan.
Doug R| 9.10.09 @ 7:15PM
This is the actual wording of page 143 sec 246.
"Sec. 246. No Federal Payment For Undocumented Aliens."
"Nothing in this subtitle shall allow the federal payment for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in The United States".
Don't believe me? Look it up:

Period. End of discussion on whether Obama was lying.
Melody W.| 9.10.09 @ 7:40PM
Doug R. There is nothing in the bill to enforce the statement you quoted, and an amendment was defeated in committee that would have required the use of the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements program. Further, from the report entitled “Treatment of Noncitizens in H.R. 3200” by the non-partisan Congressional Research Service, under H.R. 3200, a “Health Insurance Exchange” would begin in 2013 that offers private plans alongside a public option. The Exchange would provide eligible individuals and small businesses with access to insurers’ plans, including the public option, in a comparable way. Individuals would only be eligible to enroll in an Exchange plan if they were not enrolled in other acceptable coverage (for example, from an employer, Medicare and generally Medicaid). H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens participating in the Exchange—whether the noncitizens are legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently.”
Putting aside the issue of illegal immigrants, there are plenty of other objections to HR3200. Read the following article at CNN Money (hardly a bastion of conservativism or right-wing conspiracists) for some thoughts about what freedoms we will lose under Obamacare. http://money.cnn.com/2009/07/2.....a.fortune/
Again, I ask if illegal immigrants and abortions are not covered, why do Dems continue to vote aaginst amendments that specifically state such? And why do Dems refuse to vote for an amendment stating they will participate in the same plan?
Nick| 9.10.09 @ 7:43PM
Melody W.,
Right on point!
Excellent.
Doug R,
What exactly are the penalties for those who receive "federal payment for affordability credits"? Hmmmmm?
A law that forbids an action but does not punish the act is meaningless.
Nick| 9.10.09 @ 7:49PM
Melody W.,
You beat me to it! ARGGHH! Oh well.
You sure know the specifics of this bill, do you work on the hill?
Doug R| 9.10.09 @ 8:01PM
Fist of all Nick an Melody W. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for a rational, well reasoned response to my post. I wish this entire discussion was as intelligent as you folks are. Your point is well taken reagrding enforcement and that definately needs to be worked out. The bill is not in it's final form and this debate will hopefully clarify this issue. I made my point to illustrate that the President was not lying. There is nothing in this bill that gives illegals explicit entry to the plan. The congressmans outburst was unwarrented and an overraction at an inappropriate time.
Mark L. Johnson| 9.10.09 @ 8:09PM
Karen @1:46PM, I would consider any action that has to be apologized for as a boner, mistake , goof, or whatever word you want to use for it. Yes, some people will cheer for it, but some people also cheer when a guy gets hit in the nuts on America's Funniest Home Videos. If Joe Wilson admits it was wrong - and he was the one that did it - then it is just wrong.
Nick| 9.10.09 @ 8:27PM
Doug R.,
On behalf of myself, thanks for the compliment. But you will gain no quarter.
I believe it was B.O. who first called certain opponents of his health care debacle "liars."
And, how am I supposed to hit a moving target?
"The bill is not in it's final form[...]"
"There is nothing in this bill[...]"
So which is it? As Melody showed, the GOP has offered many amendments and the democrats have defeated them all. You can't say, "Well, that will be worked out later, but it's not in the bill now."
And everybody is assuming Joe Wilson was specifically saying B.O. was just lying about the illegal alien charge. Mr. Wilson could've been talking about B.O.'s many lies.
So to try and pidgeonhole Mr. Wilson on this one issue is deflecting from all of B.O.'s lies and how much he has screwed this up.

T Zale| 9.10.09 @ 9:54PM
While his vocalization during the Presidents speech to Congress may be viewed as poor etiquette and a bad move politically for the Republicans, I agree that it is a lie that illegals will not recieve healthcare at our expense. The President and the Democrats want to make it law that all Americans obtain Health Insurance to reduce the number seeking Emergency Room treatment. Just where does he think these illegals will end up? Who will pay for their medical treatment in emergency situations? While the Bill may not specifically say they will be treated, the end result will be that they will. Perhaps not covered under the Public Option and they will not be paying Premiums but they will receive Free treatment at our expense. Since they are a very large number of those they claim are uninsured, if they are not specifically addressed in the Reform legislation, it will cost taxpayers a bundle.
Also, how do the Democrats expect College and Graduate students to pay for Health Insurance? No comment on that. Also, nobody has asked what the Public Option Premiums will be compared to like(apples to apples) coverage under Private Insurance. It is reported that the savings will be between 10-30% by a Government commissioned study. I expect it will be less than that. Additionally, if both spouses work and one elects coverage under the others group plan, due to less cost/better coverage/lower deductible, then what? It is my understanding that the employer of the person being covered under their spouses plan will then have to pay 8% for that employee eventhough they are covered under their spouses group plan. Too much has gone unsaid in the Democrats plan. There are not enough specificsm, so it is impossible for anyone to make an intelligent, informed decision on whether their plan will reduce cost and provide individuals with better coverage.

Tax evader Rangel is the one that should step down. He broke the law and Pelosi is "waiting for the outcome of the investigation", yea right! By the way are "boos" any better. Are those against what the President says suppose to stand up and applaud. I don't think Wilson made a good decision in what he did. But I also don't think the President was right in stating during his way to numerous TV appearances that "there are those that make false statements/lies". The Bill might not specifically say something, but the outcome of policies provided in the Bill will result in rationing of care, reduced quality of treatment and lack of Private Insurance.
Elsie Payne| 9.10.09 @ 11:03PM
Our Constitution will allow for illegals to be covered under Obama Care if and when the govt mandates thru Obama Health Reform (?). The state of California tried to keep illegals from getting health care and two federal courts thumbed their nose at California. Our Constitution does not allow us to give to some and not to illegals...Obama is lying when he knows that the Constitution covers all when the govt offers public health care....That is why we must fight the public option..also the Supreme Court refused to hear the California case...

Aside from the riotous vagina chronicle excerpts and beaver issues alluded to in posts:
Seriously though, when millions of illegals need/ed medical care, for decades, do/did they sneak back into Mexico for said care or
have they been getting their lib-court-mandated medical care here in the USA, all along, no questions asked?
Whether they become rubber-stamped citizens or not, invariably they receive health care and will receive health care in states such as, say,
Mexifornia; that is a given and not a lie. For BHO to claim that illegals shan't be getting health care 'coverage' is PROPAGANDA.

As some of you have commented, I am supposedly part of the deadbeat generation that wants nothing more than handouts, just because I am young. I might also be heckled as a liberal or conservative just because I ask for civility from someone who is an advocate of one party or another.
But what I really want is discussion like my grandpa and grandma said used to happen back in the day. Rep. Wilson should call out the President if he disagrees, but I know he could find a more professional way to do so than shouting at our President in the middle of a Congressional speech. I learned about government from grandparents and I also learned about manners and I'd like to see some common decency and honest discussion about the issues rather than everyone yelling at and insulting each other.
How are we, as the next generation, supposed to learn anything, when our parents and leaders do nothing but yell at each other? My grandpa was a second generation American and believed fully in the strength of each individual to earn his or her keep, and my grandma had strong liberal views. They each shared important lessons with me, yet sometimes it's hard to hear either above the irrational and ill-thought screams of both right and left.
As a young person getting started in this world, I implore all of you, again, to consider respect of your fellow humans and their beliefs.
Nobama| 9.11.09 @ 2:53AM
Madeleine, I know it's hard for you to understand because you're a brain dead liberal, but this is not because Obama's 1/2 black. It's because he's a Marxist and he's destroying our country. We don't want a Marxist in 10 years either, brain trust.
You liberals scream racist any chance you get; that way you don't have to come up with a real argument. So many stupids, no wonder our country is such a mess.
Jeremiah| 9.11.09 @ 2:56AM
Ayame, have you posted your thoughtful comments on HuffPost or DU? Let me know how that works out for you.
I'll wait for your answer.
Ayame| 9.11.09 @ 6:06AM
Jeremiah,
I can't tell whether you are sincere in your response to me or not, but I'll be earnest and honest back, and I hope you meant it the same way. It's not a diatribe I posted all around the internet, just here, and I meant what I said, as simple as that and I hope others will take it at face value.
I'm guessing you mean people will either cheer or insult me on those sites, but that's not really what I was seeking. I'm just a youngin' getting interested in politics and looking for a little respectful and respectable commentary from those who've been involved longer. I hope you are one that will share your thoughtful insights back.
As for posting it elsewhere, I didn't, only because I was trying to be thoughtful about the particular situation we are all discussing regarding Rep. Wilson's comments, but I believe in what I say and I would hope that my desire for grown-up discussion would appeal to all intelligent folks, red or blue. It gets really exhausting trying to sort through the muck when everyone just yells and insults one another.
Nick| 9.11.09 @ 6:31AM
Ayame,
Here's some free advice:
1) You shouldn't lecture people on manners. Either they have them or they don't.
2) If you're respectful to someone and they attack you, call them on it.
3) If you're attacked, defend yourself.
And 4) Realize that some of us who post here with some regularity have histories with others who are vicious hacks, and so we hit them back just as hard.
Hope that helps. Take care.
Jethro| 9.11.09 @ 9:46AM
Well, this is just another example of why Americans are disgusted by local, state, and federal government. So what if Mr Wilson called Mr Obama a liar? It's just politics and it's part of the territory. With all due respect, of course.
freba| 9.11.09 @ 8:57PM
When Harry Reid was asked if he would apologize for calling Pres. Bush a liar and a loser, he said, "No, because I am who I am and I call it as I see it." End of story. Why is Joe any different from Harry Reid who can say what he wants whenever he wants. And enough of this "decorum" nonsense. It's about time someone had the courage to say, "The Emporer Has No Clothes!"
Brittanicus| 9.11.09 @ 11:34PM
The incident that occurred in Congress by Rep. Joe Wilson R-NC, illustrates the consequences of a blurring line between illegal immigration and health care. Our politicians have been alerted to the angry voices of the American people. For once they have disregarded the business campaign contributors and all the cloaked gifts given for services rendered by special interest lobbyists. Millions of US citizens are enraged with the status quo buying favors from our representatives that has led to our wilting economy. Today speaking on behalf of Washington committees on health care, the lawmaking emphasized that illegal aliens cannot access the new health reform package, that any person applying will be checked through government databases.
E-Verify might be implemented for this very issue, that it has shown in the majority of cases remarkable successes in remove illegal alien workers from the working environment. E-Verify can solve this problem and bring sanity back to immigration enforcement. E-VERIFICATION OF EACH AND EVERY AMERICAN WORKER MUST BE MADE PERMANENT? NOT JUST VOLUNTARY POLICY, BUT AS A FULL FORCE OF OPERATION CARRYING STRICT PENALTIES. This operation will work under federal policies? But what about state laws? California as an example is a Sanctuary state for millions of illegal immigrants and their families? Other border states are also occupied by large proportions of unlawful populations of foreign nationals?
This last year has culminated in huge financial losses in California caused by millions of low income illegal aliens, which has created a third world community within the United States. There must be federal measures to bring under control, massive spending benefits for people who have no right from benefiting from those who come here legally or were born here. How can any public health care option work at a state level, when states like California ignore federal law, regarding financial refuge to indigent people? Our own people remain homeless and in many cases without hope, when legislators have prioritized, health care, education an overloaded jail system and easy welfare money for illegal immigrants?
The once golden state has been using taxpayer money, to support illegal aliens, when the same expenditures should have been adopted for a collapsing infrastructure. Highways, schools, tunnels, bridges and dams in a dangerous state of disrepair? Our legislators in many cases have been seduced by lobbyists and should be banned from any contact with our politicians. This will never happen, but something must be done? Millions have been spent on derailing the health care reform currently and in the past, as has immigration enforcement. Rescinding 287(g) federal training for local police enforcement of immigration laws, the NO MATCH LETTER and the cutting back on ICE raids on obnoxious businesses using foreign workers.
The order to crush E-verify was given to Sen.Harry Reid, Speaker Pelosi, Janet Napolitano, but narrowly survived in the Senate chambers. Both political parties are equally to blame for not enforcing the 1986 Immigration Control & Reform Act that was inundated with fraud and a desire to weaken the laws. Now they want to rescind that law, offering yet another reform package that will never function? Let’s not kid ourselves! Huge veiled forces are at work to import as much cheap labor as possible with no restraints, lowering wages and an unconscionable burden on taxpayers.
DON'T LET THE POWERS IN WASHINGTON WHITEWASH THE FACTS! DEMAND THE ORIGINAL DESIGNED FENCE AND THE FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF E-VERIFY, 287 (g), THE SAVE ACT AND AS WRITTEN, THE 1986 SIMPSON/MAZZOLI BILL AND AMEND THEM IF NEED BE? NO MORE IMMIGRATION REFORM? DO THE JOB THEY WERE VOTED FOR? CALL YOUR POLITICIANS AT 202-224-3121 AND DEMAND THESE LAWS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE? MORE ANSWERS FOUND AT NUMBERSUSA & JUDICIAL WATCH.
