Obama Poll Ratings Continue to Drop

The Prez has gone negative.  I suspect that wasn't the sort of change he envisioned when he was running for office!

Reports Newsmax:

President Barack Obama's popularity has plummeted to a record low, with just 45 percent of voters now approving of his performance, according to the latest Zogby International poll.

Asked whether they approve or disapprove of the president's job performance, just 45.3 percent of likely voters say they approve. That compares with 50.5 percent who disapprove of the job Obama is doing.

The results are a strong indication that contentious national debate over healthcare reform has taken a major toll on the president's popularity.

He's putting a brave face on it, as seen in the internet conference yesterday. He hasn't hit "former allies stab you in the back" territory yet, that will be a real test of character. Good luck Mr. President-have you ever had to deal with being unpopular?

Pete| 8.21.09 @ 9:32AM

This is what happens when you lie. Now if only the media would gets its collective head out of his pants, the remaining eyes would open and we would see free-fall.

Sean| 8.21.09 @ 9:42AM

He is negative even with the MSM shilling for him.

yeswecan| 8.21.09 @ 10:50AM

Popularity and approval rates will continue to spiral downward .He told more lies than the weather man.The only reason his approval rating is not lower than it is right now is (1)the left wing media,(2)most people who voted for him are blinded by pride .Pete said it perfectly in the above post.So to the "Monica" media spit out the Obamajizz ,wash your mouth, pick the pubs out of your teeth and change your dress. Its time for truth

Mike Nelson| 8.21.09 @ 10:52AM

He is who we thought he was! He is used to Chicago corrupt politics and now has tried it on a national level. Sorry Mr. Prez you are the real accidental President and this great country now knows you are the socialist and a liar many of us thought you were and not very competent. Enjoy your one term!

yeswecan| 8.21.09 @ 11:00AM

Popularity and approval ratings are down but he is the most famous idiot right now.The only reason the ratings are not lower is because (1)the left wing media (2)most people that voted for him are blinded by pride.Petes post above said it perfectly.SO to the "Monica" media spit out the Obmajizz, wash your mouth, pick the pubs out of your mouth and change your dress. Its time for truth.

Do not misunderestimate the ability of this power-mad, self-aggrandizing Kenyan Svengali-wolf to beguile the American people. We have too many fools in this country.

Pete| 8.21.09 @ 12:13PM

David, I agree with you. This is no cause for celebration - it is merely mildly encouraging that some who were fooled in November are starting to wake up. The Mocha Messiah is a dangerous as ever...probably even more so now that he is being backed into a corner. His arrogance and power lust will drive him to do something even more over-the-top dangerous and un-American, I have no doubt.

Grzmlyk| 8.21.09 @ 12:57PM

While I agree that celebration would be premature, I think Obama's eroding ratings are cause for perhaps a ray of light of optimism. I never thought they'd drop this fast.

Of course, they're bound to go back up, and the mainstream media will never, ever fall out of love with him; he's a mirror they never tire of holding up to their own vanity.

But even with the media wind at his back he is revealing himself more and more to be utterly detached from reality. Not only does he have no compunctions whatsoever about lying (yet anothother sign of the sociopathology that lurks just underneath the mask), but it's increasingly obvious - on a daily basis - that he simply does not see the world in any way the resembles reality. Like the very best of all liberals, he's utterly delusional. And poorly informed.

And the disparity between his perception of America and rank-and-file Americans' perception of our country is making it increasingly obvious that, not only is he an immature, bigoted, messianic narcissist, sociopath and thug, he's also turning out to be a bona fide whack job.

Whack jobs have a way of getting on one's nerves faster than run-of-the-mill crooks.

At least that's what I'm telling myself because every time he opens his mouth, MY jaw drops to the floor in utter amazement that EVERYBODY doesn't see what an empty piece of crap he and his entire power-drunk gang is.

Alinsky's Rule #5: Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It is infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions by creating anger and fear.

It's so much d@mn fun to turn their vicious methods back on the democrats. NOW is the time to pile on fellow patriots.

"What goes around comes around," Obummer.

yeswecan| 8.21.09 @ 4:13PM

I hope we are not surprised by all his deception. It has been common practice for all most all political leaders to to practice these tactics and they perfect them through time. The power they aquire the more power they require .Its never enough. Now we are at a place where they(government) want to decide if you live or die .How much more are you willing to give ?When is enough aenough? The Wall Street runs the White House and death does not mean much to those who have money and power. They have sent many men to die in the name of "National Security",while they reaped the profits the millitary industries. "Alls it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing."

The power elite are also in the business of creating illusions. They use their politicians and the mass media to try to create a perception of reality they would like us to see. The illusions they create are elaborate, complicated, well designed, well executed and likely expensive, but they are illusions nonetheless. The difference between the illusions the power elite create and those of Criss Angel is that Mr. Angel creates his illusions strictly for entertainment purposes, the power elite are creating theirs so that they can control mass consciousness and hence make it easier to control the population in general. The problem for them is that many people are beginning to realize exactly what's been happening.

One of the ways to create a good illusion is to get the audience to look over there while something is happening over here. Another is to keep things hidden and produce them when you want them seen. Still another way is to make the audience believe something isn't what it appears to be, or that something is what it doesn't appear to be. Or any combination of these things can help produce a good illusion. Of course, if the audience looks where the action is and detects the slight of hand, or if they see the hidden element before it is produced, or if they are not convinced that something is or is not something else, then the illusion is ruined.

I really don't believe that any of this theater is about health care. It seems to me that it's about control. It's about power. It's about making everyone dependent upon government and so ensnaring them in a trap that makes the common class slavish to the power elite political class. As long as the illusions that politicians care are maintained, than they can manipulate the masses, divert attention away from their previous follies and create conflict amongst different groups that they define. People are beginning to see through their illusions, however. They are catching glimpses of the hidden. The old tricks that were at one time so effective at mesmerizing aren't working as well as they once did. People are beginning to walk away from the shell game the politicians and the power elite are playing. They are spotting the slight of hand. The masses want their independence, their power, and their money back. No illusion, no matter how well thought out, elaborate or expensive, will change that.

Mike Nelson, great comments - you must be from Chicago, I thought so as soon as I read, "He is who we thought he was!" Yes, a great football moment.

Obama is the pitts, I hope after he leaves the White House after this term he doesn't sit his butt back here.
